I had a great experience working with Popeye at Daytona Mazda. He was attentive, courteous, and very professional. He patiently answered all my questions, and I had many of them, since I was buying a 4 yea Mazda. He was attentive, courteous, and very professional. He patiently answered all my questions, and I had many of them, since I was buying a 4 years old car and was a bit apprehensive. Went in for service for a radio that was under warranty. Well, I had to call Mazda National Customer service to get the local dealer to tell me the part was in, even though it had been about 6 months of the Well, I had to call Mazda National Customer service to get the local dealer to tell me the part was in, even though it had been about 6 months of the part being on order. When I was contacted with Daytona Mazda Service, they tried to tell me it was on back order, the National Rep was still on the line and said "No, You have it in stock" figure.... So I get into the dealer to have the work done, The technician cracked my screen and tried to say that it came in that way. Multiple times the service advisor said, that I had brought it in that way, NO, IT WAS NOT CRACKED WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN! They have a new screen on order, from Texas, it may take some time to get it here, although FEDEX and UPS and Amazon can get anything they have in their hands here tomorrow.......Hmmm, a little effort for something you broke? Would I recommend them? I dont know. The integrity of the system is in question in my mind. Why did I have to call Mazda National Customer service for a part that Daytona Mazda HAD in Inventory? Why would it be acceptable that a technician lies about breaking a part and attempts to say that it was brought in that way? Companies should encourage the atmosphere of "I made a mistake, lets fix it together for the customer" Honesty and Integrity I am sure that they are fine for routine maintenance. But then again 50 bucks for a cabin air filter that costs 10 bucks at Walmart and 5 minutes to replace is a bit excessive, Ill do that one myself, thank you. More
