In the year that I've had this vehicle I have only had it in my possession 3 months total. They lack communication and professionalism. They have had to replace my engine once then replace my head gasket on in my possession 3 months total. They lack communication and professionalism. They have had to replace my engine once then replace my head gasket on my engine then my serpentine belt. My car still feels terrible like my transmission is going next. They also have very little rental cars and they do not clean the interior prior to giving it to you so you and your family are put into a dirty car as well as with other people's belongings still in it. More

Made an appt for 9:10 a. m., left work @ 6:30a to get in a nap & arrived early. Gave a detailed explanation of what was wrong (5 items, described in detail when I made the app m., left work @ 6:30a to get in a nap & arrived early. Gave a detailed explanation of what was wrong (5 items, described in detail when I made the appt)... 2 hours in, no communication from Service Writer so I spoke w/Service Mgr. He tells me they don't even have diagnostic available at the time from KIA due to "the system being down." Long story short, I left the vehicle there until 3:30 (6 HOURS LATER) that afternoon... I hadn't heard from anyone, so I called & was told the Service Mgr had been trying to reach me, despite receiving no calls ... he proceeded to tell me a transmission fluid flush & fill was $280, I needed new tires (NOT on the aforementioned list) & I "might" have any number of things wrong, but they couldn't say for certain, that I could spend a few thousand dollars for them to TRY to diagnose the problem, but they didn't have any answers for me after keeping my car ALL DAY, with no communication other than ME calling THEM. Also, due to "system being down," unable to tell me if an active recall was completed re: my passenger side airbag. Unbelievable amount of "if you don't like it, we don't care," except for the guy @ the Parts Counter, the Shuttle Driver & the professional ladies who answer the phones. It is unimaginable to me I wanted to pay them to find out what was wrong & fix it & got a paraphrased "it could be any number of things; in these older vehicles (2011 w/131k miles), things go wrong & sometimes it's easier to get a new vehicle" speech from Service Mgr Rich... he tried the soft sell within 5 mins of me initially talking to him, "might be time to pull the trigger & trade it in" which I should have interpreted as not a great deal is gonna get done. I paid $148 for them to diagnose what was wrong (1 hour rate); I got a rate quote on 1 item; a rear door which would not open got the panel removed & I'm now able to open it from the inside... 3 other, potentially dangerous items (incl. a RECALL) weren't even addressed. Again... I took my vehicle there for a diagnosis with a plan on what it would take to fix it: instead, I left there with no answers. The kicker is, they acted like when I phoned @3:30p, these items would magically have been completed by closing @5:30p. In summary: this has been an experience which will influence my decision to buy another KIA: you should be able to FIX what you SELL & you should actually communicate with your customers to let them know if you're going to require more time to diagnose & correct problems. I think on that day, service decided to pick the easy, low hanging fruit & fix what was easy to figure out for a quick buck, which is pretty disappointing. More
