Worst customer service EVER! When calling about a Worst customer service EVER! When calling about a car advertised locally on South Jersey Craigslist, I was asked to make an appointment for six Worst customer service EVER! When calling about a car advertised locally on South Jersey Craigslist, I was asked to make an appointment for six hours later rather than coming in immediately, because they "pride themselves on excellent customer service", and wanted to make sure that "someone had time for me." The person with whom I had the appointment left for the day half an hour before I arrived, though I was on time. The salesperson I saw allowed me to "test drive" the car I wanted only as far as the other side of the parking lot, where he could show me a car that had just come in (for which they would be charging me a lot more), and then left me in the car to "go inside and get the keys". I watched him chat with two other salespeople inside, before coming back out with no keys, but saying that he "had an idea", and asking me to come inside. Though I had not yet agreed to purchase any car, he had me fill out finance paperwork, and then asked, "Have you considered leasing a new Camry?" No, I hadn't... I was there to buy a used car. One that he had not even let me drive farther than across the parking lot. As I was continuing to fill out paperwork, and revealed that I am divorced, he complained to me about how much alimony he was paying his ex wife, bragged about how much money he makes, and then asked if my ex-husband ever hit me. Didn't ask if I like my job, or how old my children are, or any other topics that would have been pleasant and acceptable... just if my ex was abusive. Wildly inappropriate! After running my credit, it came to my attention that there are items on my credit report that do not belong to me. I was surprised, but reacted calmly. While errors on my credit are certainly not his fault, again, his reaction was entirely inappropriate, saying "Well, it has your name on it, so it has to be yours", and "Nobody in his right mind would finance this. Don't waste my time." He then asked if I wanted to pay cash for the car. Though I have the cash to do so, I have no desire to give him any profit from my business after being treated so rudely! I called the manager, once on my way home, and again an hour later, and received no return call. I have called again this morning, and for a third time, was patched through to voice mail and have received no return call. For a company that reports to have such pride in their customer service, this is nothing above shameful. Not only would I never go there again, I would tell everyone I know to avoid this dealership like the plague. More
I came to the dealership with an idea of which car I was interested in. Bill was very friendly and treated me like the most important person in the show room from beginning to end. He was very patient with interested in. Bill was very friendly and treated me like the most important person in the show room from beginning to end. He was very patient with my questions (being a first time buyer) and made me feel much more comfortable with making my purchase. Most importantly I didn't feel rushed into anything as some dealers can make you feel. I would definitely recommend seeing Bill for your next purchase. More
My experience at Dayton Toyota is very positive. I have been using the service department for years. They are reliable and honest which are 2 qualities that I admire most. When I was looking to purchase been using the service department for years. They are reliable and honest which are 2 qualities that I admire most. When I was looking to purchase a car, the sales department was prompt at asking if I needed help and gave a very fair price on my purchase. The salesperson, Justin Astrin, followed up with me but was not an annoying person. He gave me time to make my decision about my purchase. I have always felt the service department was excellent and now that I've dealt with the sales department, I feel the same way about them. I would highly recommend Dayton Toyota for the sales and service departments. More
Everyone was very informed and helpful. They worked with me on both the price of my trade in and the cost of my new purchase. I was very pleased with their thoroughness and expertise. I had brought my car i me on both the price of my trade in and the cost of my new purchase. I was very pleased with their thoroughness and expertise. I had brought my car in to be serviced and found that the engine had seized. They accommodated me while I debated what was best to do (either repair or finance a new car). They made every effort to make sure I was happy with my purchase and that it would be affordable for me. I would definitely recommend this dealership and working with Jeff. More

My husband and I recently visited Dayton Toyota to purchase a new 2010 Toyota Prius. The salesperson, Bill Barton, was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and provided us with straightforward informa purchase a new 2010 Toyota Prius. The salesperson, Bill Barton, was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and provided us with straightforward information. He gave us an upfront price that reflected the internet quote he provided and the car was ready for us when we visited the showroom for a test drive. This is my first experience buying a new car and Bill made the process stress-free and easy. We were very pleased with the professionalism and friendliness of all the staff at Dayton Toyota which is more than we can say for another dealership we visited. We will definitely return to Dayton Toyota when we need to buy another car and we highly recommend this dealer to anyone looking to purchase a new car. More
Having bought a Toyota several years ago from a different dealer; and having visited another dealer just prior to going to Dayton and having Max take care of me -- it was a relative pleasure. In just a very dealer; and having visited another dealer just prior to going to Dayton and having Max take care of me -- it was a relative pleasure. In just a very short time everything was taken care of to everyone's delight -- and Max as well as his superiors were a delight to deal with. Max was knowledgeable about the car (not at all like the salesperson from the previous dealer I went to) and it worked out very well for all of us. Leonard Machlis More
Considering this was my fourth car purchased from Dayton Toyota I guess you could say I'm quite happy with everyone associated with the dealership. From the friendly and helpful sales staff (even ones with Toyota I guess you could say I'm quite happy with everyone associated with the dealership. From the friendly and helpful sales staff (even ones with whom you are not working directly) to the knowledgable and accomodating service/parts staff, there is not one person there who isn't ready and able to help you. What I loved the most this time around was that my salesman Jeffrey Marcus took the time to go over all the details in my new car, including syncing my phone to the bluetooth and showing me how to work it and program in numbers. While this may not seem like much to some, it was a BIG deal to me and I appreciated every minute Jeffrey spent with me. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone. More
Our salesman was Jeffrey Marcus. He did an excellent job leading us to our final sale price, being sure we were happy and satisfied. We came back to Dayton Toyota after having bought a 2002 Avalon bra job leading us to our final sale price, being sure we were happy and satisfied. We came back to Dayton Toyota after having bought a 2002 Avalon brand new from them. The dealership is outstanding in all aspects, but most notably we feel a caring and professional atmosphere at all times. The service department is also outstanding and knowing that made our choice an even easier one. We did go to a dealership closer to our home to compare. I did not feel the same there, even though they were friendly and took time with us. We were never even offered a chance to test drive their car! Jeffrey took us out in both the Avalon sedan and Avalon Limited. Knowing how the cars drove really was a big factor in our returning and buying from Dayton. Every effort was made to deal with an issue with our trade-in and to give us a fair price on our new purchase. Finally, we left with our new car feeling we made the right decision in staying with Dayton Toyota and would recommend this dealership to family and friends. More
Our Salesperson was very nice until we signed on the dotted line and bought the car. This is our 3rd Prius, so we are pretty loyal Toyota customers. However, the day after the purchase, our salesman t dotted line and bought the car. This is our 3rd Prius, so we are pretty loyal Toyota customers. However, the day after the purchase, our salesman told us to come to the showroom so that he could take care of a few things for us and get a "technical" person to show me how to work the new features in the car - those that I didn't have in my last Prius. When I showed up, my salesman was too busy to talk to me. And, the person who was supposed to help me with the bluetooth system and the GPS did not really know that much about those systems. At this point, I would not buy my next car from this dealership (Dayton Toyota). My husband and I could not believe that (for the first time EVER) floor mats were not included in the price of a new car. How TACKY!! I hope this dealer's free 2-year maintenance (which I am very faithful about getting - even when I have to pay for it) is a lot better than the service we have received so far. More
