Terrible experience. Their stock of cars was good—they had the specific model that I was looking for. But that is the only good thing that I can write about them. The sales agent was okay. When I asked hi had the specific model that I was looking for. But that is the only good thing that I can write about them. The sales agent was okay. When I asked him for a discounted price on the car of my choice, he said that his manager wants to maximize their profit and does not like to sell low. He went away and came back with the manager. The manager was quite a character. He was rude, impatient, disrespectful, and quite aggressive. He offered me a price that was much more than what I was willing to pay. I later bought a car from DCH Freehold Toyota for about 1500$ less than what Dayton Toyota offered. Please don’t waste much time with Dayton Toyota. Even if you visit them to see a specific model, please check the price with at least two or three other dealers—you would save a lot of money. More

Should change their motto from "New Jerseys 1st Totoya Dealer" to "New Jerseys WORSE Toyota Dealer". Do yourselves a favor and pay particular attention to the negative reviews regarding this dealer Totoya Dealer" to "New Jerseys WORSE Toyota Dealer". Do yourselves a favor and pay particular attention to the negative reviews regarding this dealership. I was the victim of a blatent "bait and switch". I was contacted by Vicki shortly after making an inquiry via the internet. This was on a Tuesday evening and I was told by her that the vehicle was still available. I communicated to her that I would come in the am. She also agreed to contact me should the vehicle sell before then although she was doubtful as there was only an hour left before the dealership closed for the evening (most likely lie 1). In the am there was no phone call received. Because of the proximity to where I reside (60+ miles) and the fact that I would need to miss a half day of work I decide to call in the am regardless. 2 phone calls to Vicki, no answer. I leave a message and begin the trip unaware of the xxxx that awaits ahead of me. Phone rings. It's Daniel, the internet sales manager. He assures me they have the car (most likely lie 2). They will have it ready for me when I get there. I arrive, meet Daniel in his office and have a seat. Daniel has some bad news. It seems they sold the car last night (possibly lie 3). He's appologetic. He neglected to check the inventory list (lie 4). That's his only job but it must have slipped his mind. He will get me some coffee, that will make it better. I decline as I doubt I could get anything past the knot in my throat. They are gonna make it all right though. Look its a newer, much more expensive vehicle they are pulling up as Daniel tunes his acting skills. A vehicle that is almost double what my allocated funds can afford. I step outside for air and am greeted by the salesman who drove up the "bait and switch" vehicle. He's nice enough. I express my outrage to him on the events as they occurred. He assures me they can get me in this vehicle and can get me financed although I already stated numerous time I am paying cash. Daniel comes outside with his boss now. I express my outrage to his manager. Daniel doesn't understand why I'm so upset. He states in front of his manager that he tried to call me after the initial phone call. I object and call Daniel a expletive liar to his face. Pull out my cell phone, go into call history. NO INCOMING CALL from Daniel (BLATENT LIE 5). Daniel's manager (name escapes me) asks me to leave as they can't do anything for me. Just when I thought I couldn't get any angrier I sit in my truck and watch the two stand on the steps and chuckle to eachother as I get ready to leave. Not very professional or smart. Like I said, avoid this dealership at all costs. More
Recently bought a Lexus RX 300. Test drove during the day, but while bringing car home at night, another driver on the light told me none of the back lights working. Though sales rep Gene told me it was day, but while bringing car home at night, another driver on the light told me none of the back lights working. Though sales rep Gene told me it was the car driven by the manager's wife, I requested him to find other keys of the vehicle. There was only one key. I went there in person and requested it again and was told they would get back. So far no call. This is the worst experience! Also the financing person was going to call me back with a lower interest rate. No call either. More
No one greets you or offers to help you. I actually had to call the dealer from my cell phone (while I was inside the dealership) to reach someone who finally found a salesman to help me. Lots of badmouthi to call the dealer from my cell phone (while I was inside the dealership) to reach someone who finally found a salesman to help me. Lots of badmouthing of Internet pricing, difficult to pin down a price. Not a pleasant experience. More
I recently purchased a pre-owned 2002 Chevy Impala from this facility in September. I have only put 2,200 miles on it and not only was the oil not changed prior to getting the car (it was overdue by 1,000m this facility in September. I have only put 2,200 miles on it and not only was the oil not changed prior to getting the car (it was overdue by 1,000miles) I have changed the headlight bulb, windshield wipers, all brake pads, and rear tailight bulb. Mostly minor things. Now last week right before thanksgiving the car started idling very rough and the check engine light has come on. My uncle used his computer to find out Cylinder 3 is not firing. I called up Dayton Toyota, only to find out they refused to service the car because it was a Chevy. I was not told this when i purchased the car. However I did purchase however an extended warranty at the cost of about 1600$ which they also do not honor unless your car is a toyota. I had to call toyota warranties for any help. I would definitly not purchase any more vehicles here, and will not be directing any friends or family this way. The total cost of my car was just under 6500$ You think they would help me out. I am very dissatisfied with this dealership! Thankfully i have my old car to rely on, otherwise i wouldnt be able to get back and fourth to work! More
Gene was very knowledgeable about the Prius we were interested in. We ended up buying at another dealer that had better financing but would have purchased from Gene if the dealer had been able to get interested in. I recently purchased an Avalon at Dayton Toyota and had the pleasure of interacting with Bill Barton. He made the entire purchase seamless from beginning to end. His professionalism and salesmanship are h the pleasure of interacting with Bill Barton. He made the entire purchase seamless from beginning to end. His professionalism and salesmanship are hard to beat. We've purchased many, many cars in our lifetime and this experience was right there at the top of the list. It's a rare occasion these days that you can walk in to a dealership and feel this way when you walk out with a new car. I can't say enough about Bill, Paul Sperko and the entire dealership. They run a very smooth operation. As a matter of fact, my entire family has purchased their cars from Dayton Toyota. More
