Waited two and half hours for them to perform a diagnosis and was told it is probably an $1800 gear box that only runs $600. They then wanted to check the wire harness and ordered the wrong wire harness delaying the fix even longer. This showed me they lack attention to detail and eagerness to put the customer first. Ended up having to take truck to a local mechanic to diagnose the correct problem and order the right part the first time. More

My salesman, Clint Blaha, showed them all to me out on a rainy, dreary day. He fixed me up to take a car for a test period. After test driving the car, I decided to purchase this beautiful car and Clint made the buying process TOTALLY painless. He was very helpful, friendly, professional, courteous, knowledgeable and accommodating every step of the way! I will absolutely look Mr. Blaha up when I'm ready to buy my next car in the future. Finance person, Faron Cassity was nice and helpful also! KUDOS!!!!! More

I developed problems with the computer resulting in the loss of power steering and control of the transmission. I immediately called Ham-LaGraca who recommended that I contact Kimberly Gorton at Davis Moore saying that she is "the best". I called Kimberly who did not have any immediate openings but because of the seriousness of this problem, she said bring it in and she would try to work it in. Kimberly suspected right away that my battery cables had increased resistance over the recommended value and confirmed this. She did not have these parts in stock but Kimberly went the extra mile and found them locally and had them installed. Hambleton-LaGraca stepped up to the plate and paid for the repairs (WOW, how awesome) seeing 2 dealerships work together to help a customer. Thanks so much to both of you. I strongly recommend the Davis-Moore service center. That is where I will be going for my service even though it is not the closest. Thanks Kimberly!!!!!!! More
Purchase experience wasn't great, but service after sale was I decided to look for a truck and found one on Davis Moore's website via AutoTrader. I was trading in my old truck, and so I started by using the "Trade estimator" on their website. Upon getting a quote that was less than I hoped, I started looking elsewhere. I got a call later that night from the internet sales department about the vehicle I was interested in, and the price on my trade. We negotiated on the trade, and they quoted me a more reasonable number. I was assured I would get that for my old truck, since I was driving 3 hours to the dealer. He assured me, and because I couldn't make it down that weekend, I put a deposit on the truck and they held it for me for a week. A week goes by and I drive to Wichita. Get there shortly before 11am and meet our salesman Oscar. He pulled the truck around, and I took it for a test drive. Immediately it was apparent something was wrong with the truck. The steering wheel was crooked (misalignment) and it shook over 65MPH. I took it back to them and informed them I wouldn't buy it unless they fixed it. Being a Saturday, I expected the service department to be busy, but I figured if they were going to make this sale today, they'd be willing to satisfy me and get it fixed. Nope! They informed me they couldn't do it until Monday, at which time they would drive it to Kansas City for me and I would leave in my old truck that day. I was reluctant, but I liked the truck, the price was good, and I figured if we could leave soon after financing, it would be OK. Well it wasn't. We waited over an hour and a half for finance. At which point we decided because of the wait, waiting until Monday was no longer acceptable. We asked again if the service department could take us. They said they couldn't. So, we called some local shops and found a local Tires Plus store that could get us in for an alignment immediately. We approached them and said we would leave unless they agreed to pay us back for the alignment. We drove down there, and less than 2 hours later, the truck was perfect. Steering wheel straight and wheels balanced. We were told when we left the dealer, that once we brought it back, everything would be ready, we would just have to sign and we'd be out the door. That was a lie too. We get back to the dealer, and we wait another 2 hours for finance. Finally, we get into finance, and the process takes less than 20 minutes. We spent over 6 hours at the dealer from start to finish. Perhaps i'm dumb for not just walking out. But I drove that far, I was getting what I came for. In finance, we agreed to roll the sales tax into the price of the purchase, and I would get a check for the tax (since MO won't allow them to pay it directly). A month later, I get the paperwork for the truck, and there's no check. I have to call back to get the check sent out. There seems to be major communication lapses between the departments. I find it amazing that even when having a vehicle for over a week, they didn't have it in sellable condition, and they didn't seem interested in getting the vehicle fixed so I could drive home that day. They didn't seem interested in finding a way to make sure we left in the vehicle that day. Plus they made me wait hours to get into finance, even when they weren't that busy. I saw finance guys sitting at their computers with no customers while finance customers waited in the lounge area. The PEOPLE I worked with from sales and finance were great. I've had much worse sales professionals/finance professionals at other dealers, although I will say I wasn't impressed with Mason the sales manager. He never seemed enthusiastic about making sure we got what we needed, and almost felt annoyed that we wanted something like a drivable vehicle. But the overall experience was terrible. I've bought many used/new cars and i've never spent more than 2 hours at a dealer from start to finish, and the vehicle has always been ready to drive home that day, even when it was used. I'm happy with the vehicle, and know I paid a fair price, but looking back on it, i'm not sure if that price I paid was worth the entire Saturday I wasted at Davis Moore. Edit: After posting the review, I was reached out by Davis Moore. I spoke with Jonathan Starlin about my experience for nearly 20 minutes. He was very professional and welcomed my feedback. We discussed why some of the experiences I had happened the way they did, and I felt they truly did welcome my feedback and want to make things better. When asked what they could do for me at this point, I simply told him make sure no one else has the same experience I did. I am choosing to keep this review up, simply because the experience did happen, but also to acknowledge that they valued my feedback. Based off of other reviews on Google/Dealer Rater, it seems experiences with the sales staff are generally good (just that perhaps the service dept needs work) and so perhaps my experiences were not the norm for Davis Moore, and it was out of the ordinary. Regardless, I hope my feedback is taken to heart and future shoppers are able to have a pleasant car buying experience. Edit 2: I've changed my review again, adding a star and changing my recomendation. After buying the truck, 31 days after purchase, I was left stranded by the truck. The Toyota dealer I towed it to diagnosed it as a bad fuel pump. I agreed to pay for the repair, almost $1k. I decided to call Jonathan Starlin back and ask about my warranty. They agreed to actually pay for half of the repair, because I was 1 day out of the warranty. I did not feel like it was an attempt to buy my approval after the purchase experience, and I truly felt like they wanted to keep me happy as a customer. Obviously there's no way we could have known the pump was bad when we bought it. It showed no signs of failure, and it ended up being a defective sending unit that was reporting the wrong fuel level, which burned the pump out. I was very happy with their offer to help me out, and I can honestly say they've redeemed themselves with the service after the sale. More

After the first time, i was told that the rear main seal was leaking. After it was done, i took it home and 2 weeks later it started leaking again. I took it back in and now the oil pan gaskets needed to be changed. I have had several people tell me that this should have been done along with the main seal. After picking it up the second time, i almost got home and a light came on telling me that engine oil needed to be added. I pulled over and called and told the service manager. He promised me that there was oil in it, but he would check. Came back on the phone and said there was oil in it and there is a switch that probably wasn't latched. A guy came out to my house and checked the oil and fixed the switch. Here we are less than a week later and once again it is leaking!! I am taking it somewhere else. No one should have to deal with this on a truck that is only a year and a half old!!! More
