Ms. Lovitt purchased a pre-owned 2011 Equinox with 109,000 miles from us on 6/2/18. Per her comments, about a week after purchase she did make us aware of a popping noise when she makes a turn. Both myself and our shop foreman Brian Cole drove the vehicle, and indeed heard a slight clicking sound coming from within the constant velocity axle joints. However, this noise is consistent with like kind vehicles of this age and mileage. Brian also inspected both front axles and found axles and axle seal boots to be in tact with no splits, cracks, or leaks of joint lubricant grease. The vehicle was found to indeed be safe to drive. We also performed a diagnostic trouble code scan and found no codes stored anywhere on the vehicle. We are here to help Ms. Lovitt in any way we can, and we certainly appreciate her kind words about her salesperson, Martin Downey. He is fantastic, and we’re luck to have him!
