Hi Mr. Shepherd, I left you a VM a few days ago, but have yet to hear back from you. We remember you and your transaction very well, and I'm more than happy to discuss your concerns. With regard to your comment about the picture of the truck that you saw online (and ended up purchasing from us), we had just received this vehicle into our inventory shortly before you called our dealership, so the online picture that you saw was simply a stock photo. We photograph all of our pre-owned vehicles for our online listings, and we simply had not had the opportunity to photo the truck yet when you saw it on CarGurus. With regard to our $1,995 Safety & Security package (Pulsating 3rd brake light, GPS feature, & Interior/Exterior Protection) that we add to our vehicles here at the dealership, I'm a little confused by your comments on that. You declined all of the products in the package, so you did not pay for any of them, and we also honored the internet price that you saw on CarGurus. Hopefully when we talk you can clarify for me. Finally, Davis Chevrolet actually paid for the water pump replacement that you mention in your review. You were not charged for that. All of that said Mr. Shepherd, we are here to continue to help in any way that we can, so please give me a call back if you would at 713-794-2500 Ext 117. No voice mail was ever left. Through the entire process there was never a mention of you just receiving this truck and a stock photo being used. In fact they kept telling me that you had the truck sold to someone. As far as you paying for the water pump your company said I had to pay for it. Martin had said I shouldn’t have to pay for it. Eko said I had to. I told them I was stopping payment on the check and bringing the truck back. At that point they said you would fix it. I had negotiated on the price to have your company sell the vehicle for the advertised price. At No time was I told that it did not include the extra package in fact I was told it couldn’t be removed. Even at the time of paying and signing Martin explained to my wife and I that we get all the features of 24 hour tracking and knowing where our vehicle is at all times and we should register since it was already included. It’s funny how Martin refused to give me any email address for anyone to complain to and I had to call in to get your address. I had sent you a detailed complaint of my experience and you never replied. You only now just replied when it was actually put online. Again there was no voicemail ever left for Me from your dealership.

I remember this customer well, as I was involved and spoke to him personally while he was here. As he mentions in his comments, he needed a new key and key fob for his vehicle, and he dropped the vehicle off on a Friday so we could get this done for him. After checking our parts inventory, we noticed that we did not have his particular key fob in stock so our service advisor communicated this to him and informed him that we would not have the new key/fob cut and programmed until the following Monday morning. As he mentions in his review, he had no issue with this. What he is leaving out of his comments is that he showed up in our service department the following morning on Saturday with no advance notice demanding that we give him his vehicle back. When he came in, I was right in the middle of getting his new key fob programmed to his vehicle so we could have it ready for him first thing Monday morning as promised (and as he agreed to as well). Since I was in the middle of reprogramming the new fob, I was not able to get him his vehicle until I finished that reprogram (as the vehicle will not start until this is done). We never want to inconvenience a customer, but this gentleman came in a full day before we were going to have his vehicle ready. I’m not sure what else we could have done.
