I bought a Pre-Owned car from this dealership. I was told the car was recently traded-in for a new acura. I was shown a copy of the car's Carfax report, which showed that it was "clean." About six mon told the car was recently traded-in for a new acura. I was shown a copy of the car's Carfax report, which showed that it was "clean." About six months after taking it home, I took it in for an oil change. (yeah, I know it should have been sooner, but I don't drive alot of miles.) My mechanic called me and asked me, "Who had the accident?" Of course, I didn't know what accident he was talking about. The accident happened before I got it. Needless to say, I was not happy and drove out to Davis Acura to talk to the sales manager about it. I showed them the car. With it up on the lift, they could not deny that it was in an accident. On top of it all, even the repairs done on it were not very good. The car was missing one of the bolts that hold the engine down! My Subaru mechanic told me he had to special order the bolt, so when I took it back at Davis Acura the nut was still off. The shop at Davis Acura just threw some nut they had laying around onto the motor mount. This was despite the fact that I told them just to visually inspect the car, not to fix it. My Subaru mechanic told me he wanted re-hang the door as well as some other repairs. The sales manager assumed I wanted all of my money back immediately, but I assured him that i was reasonable. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that they didn't know that the car was in an accident. I know that it is indeed "buyer beware" and that my legal rights were limited. I thought I would give them the chance to make the situation better somehow. I was pretty opened minded and, again, aware that I had no right to sue them. How did they make it better? what did they offer me? Nothing. They stopped answering and returning my calls. It is not that short a drive to Davis Acura, so running there once a week was not on my agenda. They win, I gave up trying. I recently found out that the car does have an accident reported on Carfax. The accident is less than two weeks before Davis Acura shows up on the Carfax report. It wasn't just a fender bender, either. I don't know what they showed me when I bought the car, but I know it wasn't the most recent Carfax history available. There goes "the benefit of the doubt." These guys sold me a car with an accident, and represented it as a real car. If someone at that dealership actually took this car on a trade without knowing it was in an accident, he should have his eyes checked! My mechanic noticed it changing the oil and Davis told me the serviced the car. They got my money once, they'll never get another dime from me or anyone I know. Don't buy any car from Davis Acura. They seem real nice, but don't be fooled. They ripped me off and did nothing to make it right. These guys give the decent car dealers out there their bad reputation. Trust me, stay away from Davis Acura. More
I brought my car in for state insp (04 tl). they called later in the day saying it had failed because of a bent rim. I had just came back from a trip to Boston the car drove perfect. I went down to the dea later in the day saying it had failed because of a bent rim. I had just came back from a trip to Boston the car drove perfect. I went down to the dealer and asked to see the bent rim so he put it on the lift for me. The rim was bent on the inside very badly so I told him that I just got back from a trip and had no problems told me I hit a pot hole or something in the road.Needless to say I'm out 310.00 for a new rim. I suspect that when they pulled the car in to put it on the lift the rear tire hit the corner of the lift. Davis was an extremely good car dealer who became just another car dealer I'm sorry about that. More
Even when I looked at the (used) SUV (Montero Sport), they lost the keys and I had to return another day to test drive it. When I showed interest in a 4runner (over the phone) that night the price on th they lost the keys and I had to return another day to test drive it. When I showed interest in a 4runner (over the phone) that night the price on the internet went up about $700 (on both 4runners in my price range). I ended up with the Mitsu. They have a 90 day dealership warranty ($50 deductable) and I bought a 2 yr extended warranty. BUT after only 35 DAYS my temp gauge showed "HOT" all the time. I brought it in and they say it's a sensor and it's not covered... I needed to have the gold package and it will cost $120 for parts and labor. I called the finance guy (who sold me the warranty) to find out I HAVE the gold package. I explain the situation to him and ask him to contact service dept to straighten it out. Service dept calls back and says I need the "Gold Plus" package, But they are going to dispute it with the warranty company to see if they'll cover it. Then they call me back to tell me that even if it is covered there is a $100 deductable anyway and that they'll do it for $100. I check my warranty paperwork...My deductable is ZERO! They completely lied to me! This has happened over the course of 4 days. 4 days that I've been driving their loaner car. So it is costing them money for me to drive their car. Plus it's costing them their reputation (with me and every soul I can possibly reach) because they wouldn't show some integrity and replace a ($75?) part after I paid them 14000 a month ago. The service manager actaully had the sales guy Pat call me as if he were a bill collector. He whined that it was his day off as if he came in just to deal with me ( I'm still laughing about that one). He was still trying to tell me that the deductable was $100. Once I told him I had the contract right in front of me and that I felt I was being played with. He simply offered to call me back, which never happened. I wish I could return the truck and go back to Conicelli where I bought my Camry. At Davis Acura no 2 people are on the same page unless they are trying to get your money, and service and courtesy only last until you sign the dotted line. I'll have to pray that nothing else goes wrong with the truck as I NEVER EVER WANT TO DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE AGAIN!!!!! 100% True story. More
CHEATers, fradulant, UNFRIENDLY people. Horrible experience from a standard dealership that I ever had. I bought a Preowned car and they promised to fix few things before buying the car. They took t experience from a standard dealership that I ever had. I bought a Preowned car and they promised to fix few things before buying the car. They took the advance and when I went to make my final payment, the car was not fixed. I talked to the sales guy named Paul, his language was BLUNT, saying this is not a charity orginzation, I did not promise any thing etc. Then I talked to Ryan, the used car manager. He listened to everything and promised to fixed everything. I made an appoinment with him and when I went for the promised date, he was not there. I left messages on his phone but he never replied. I could not fix the car because I moved immediately out of PA withing two weeks of buying the car. Davis Acura cheated me. Do NOT recommend this dealership to even my foe. More
