My initial contact was a result of having a poor experience at another dealership in NJ... I first started with e mailing from the Internet and Tom in that department got right back to me. I was surprise how fast I got a response. After getting the e mail I call Tom to explain what I was looking in that department got right back to me. I was surprise how fast I got a response. After getting the e mail I call Tom to explain what I was looking for to view as cars at Davis. He set me up with George the manger who was very nice and we set up an appointment for the same night I sent the e mail. I met with George who talked to me and my wife first and then had us test drive 2 vehicles. We were with a sales person on the test drive for both vehicles and then went to discuss what type of payment we were looking for. The time frame was not long and we came to a price that we both agreed to and had the car within one hour from signing the papers. The experience was great with sales and George and I hope the service is just as friendly. I was referred by a friend of mine who bought at Davis in 2008 on a TL and his experience was the same. I would recommend Davis to other friends who have interest in buying a car and not looking for it to be a tough deal to go threw. Joe Ricci More
Dot Tarka is by far the most experienced and professional salesperson I have ever dealt with in all my years of purchasing cars. Her ability to work with a customer in making sure that they understood all th salesperson I have ever dealt with in all my years of purchasing cars. Her ability to work with a customer in making sure that they understood all the high technology features, and the patience that she displays is further testimony to her familiarity with the Acura product line. She is very enthusiastic about the dealership's reputation and Acura. This is the first Acura that we have purchased,and it was precertified and literally in "mint" condition. We have previously owned several Lexus models, Volvo and many other high quality vehicles and have always expected high quality service and fair treatment. I would (and am) recommending the Davis Acura dealership to friends and relatives and will urge them to ask for Dot Tarka, as she is an asset to the Davis Acura organization nd will "do right by the client." Davis Acura rescued us from a very bad situation we were having with Precision Acura of Princeton. They were very friendly and professional. Joe was very helpful and friendly, not too pushy like most sales people. He got me a great deal and "help me to master all the stuff in my car." Everyone at Davis was so nice! After doing alot of pricing around I found that they had the best deals. They really went above and beyond to get me in a new TSX. I wouldn't go anywhere else!! Just don't trust them. I am a professional minority woman who went in to trade in and buy. I had a scheduled appt w/ one guy and this guy named Dwight offered to assist me. I told him that I wanted to trade who went in to trade in and buy. I had a scheduled appt w/ one guy and this guy named Dwight offered to assist me. I told him that I wanted to trade my car in and buy an MDX. He proceeded to get the keys, I asjed him for a CARFAX and he replied,"Later, there's a process." I'm thinking ok if there's a noted problem on the CARAFAX, I've just waisted my time. Also I thought that while we were out he would have someone appraise my car. Neither happened. No CARFAX, no appraisal. Instead, when we got back to the office, he asked for my social. I asked him why, he said real quick, "payoff financing" I said "what" he said it again. The third time I told him that I didn't need financing. He said, "Well in order to get the internet price you have to finance with us." I then told him that I thought that the ad was misleading and that I had called to inquire about that and no one knew initially if that was the case. I then told him that I did not like the fact that he tried to run my credit. He then said that he was attempting to save me some time by running my credit. I told him that I didn't like the way basically tried to pull a fast one by saying that he needed my social for for financing. I said shouldn't you ask someone first before you make assumptions about them and their financing needs. Needless, I left and then he calls back saying that he had good news he could give me 500 towards the internet price. I had also went there in January looking with my niece. Each time I went they could not find the car, one time they said it was sold the other time they called a guy from the new car lot who said that he didn't know why they called for him to help me he doesn't know anything about used cars and when we rode down to the other lot to find the car, the office was locked and he left me there and said come back later when the used car guy arrives. I met the used car guy on two occasions neither time did know anything about the used cars on the internet he said that the price couldn't be right because if it was really that low, he would have bought it himself. I give them low ratings because I have been there at least 3 times this year to buy and the experience has been terrible. Terrible attention to customers and their needs. Customers are more informed and they don't want that old school used car salesman routine. It's old and tired and sure won't get you a sale. Change up the approach and treat the customer with respect. Give them what they want within reason. AND Don't judge a book by their cover. I am AF AM female w/ two Masters degrees, a veteran, supervisor and only 34. I was more than ready and qualified to buy. But I will NEVER go back and will pass the word on to my friends. You just lost one. More
