I’ve been coming to Davis Auto for years, and never had a bad experience. That is quite a compliment. I have even run into friends who live in NJ and bring or buy their cars to Davis, because the service bad experience. That is quite a compliment. I don't know the actual mechanics who do the work on the back end but so far I have not had any grounds for perceiving as nothing but consummate professionals who know and excel at their work Customer waiting area is always clean, presentable and very accommodating with the amenities and internet units. I had my vehicle service on 5/20/2021 for the state inspection. Mr Yates went over repairs that needed to be done in order to pass inspection. Solid team responsive to my concerns. I came in to the facility without making an appointment secondary to noticing some quality issues with my car within a month of purchasing it. I informed Bob that the facility without making an appointment secondary to noticing some quality issues with my car within a month of purchasing it. I informed Bob that there was a vibration sound coming from the back of my car. He immediately got the service tech leader to take a ride with me to listen to the sound. Within two hours they diagnose and fixed my car. They informed me that it was a heat shield or something to that nature that was loose on both sides. A week later I noticed that the holes that sprays windshield wiper fluid on my windshield was not connected on the left side. This was problematic since I was trying to clean the window which got some dirt on it while I was on the highway. Again I took it to the dealership without an appointment within the hour they connected it. Overall I read the service that was given to me very high however I think the build quality in fit and finish of my Acura TLX is far inferior to any of the other Acura cars that I’ve had purchased since 2001. I am already considering ending my lease prematurely and moving to another brand. More
I noticed that there was excessive wind noise coming from the door behind the driver seat. I could not tell if it was coming from the door or from the window. I schedule an appointment and rode in the car wi the door behind the driver seat. I could not tell if it was coming from the door or from the window. I schedule an appointment and rode in the car with the service manager who heard the noise as well. He did a full replacement of the sealing around the left passenger side door. My car was in the shop for two days and as soon as I drove off the lot I noticed that the wind noise was still there. This time I could tell that it was coming from the window. The next day I bought it back to Acura and they replace the sealing around the window. They had the car for another 24 hours. After this second intervention the car sounds like a luxury SUV should. Overall I rate the service that I was provided high however I am not sure if they drove the car after replacing the seals on the door. This may have alerted them that the wind noise was still present. I also I’m wondering if I’ve outgrown Acura since the fit and finish of this car is below what my current taste are. I’ve had the car for less then two months and I am already regretting not buying the Audi Q7 or Volvo V 90. Also I purchased an Acura TLX on the same day that I purchased this Acura MDX and each car needed survive for quality issues. More
