The people at David Stanley Dodge have done nothing but LIE to my Husband and myself. They have you sign the paperwork for a vehicle then tell you what your payments are, and they are higher payments then LIE to my Husband and myself. They have you sign the paperwork for a vehicle then tell you what your payments are, and they are higher payments then what you wanted. Then when you try and get out of it they tell you "Its a binding contract", or that they have already been paid by the lender, and thats a LIE. These people should not be in business. They need to be run out of town. They need the Better Bussiness Bureau to close them down. They are just ripping people off. More
David Stanley Dodge is sending out a scam telling you to scratch & win and guess what? Everyone I know who goes to claim it wins one and the same thing - a $5 Walmart gift card. Even after I called to verif scratch & win and guess what? Everyone I know who goes to claim it wins one and the same thing - a $5 Walmart gift card. Even after I called to verify the information, they were very evasive on the phone. So I decided to drive up there. They first try to sell you one of their cars or get you to do a trade-in. If this doesn't work out, they come up with your $5 gift card telling you it's got between $5-$5,000 in it. But everyone I know who ever went up there won the same $5 gift card. And know what they told me? I should have stayed at home after I found out all my friends who had received the same mail received a $5 gift card. That does not even account for the gas I used to drive up there. I was in the ER last night and got prescriptions and I'm thinking to myself if I go get this card, I could pay part of my prescriptions with it. A single mother, no family here in the US and I fall for this kind of scam. Why do I have it up here? Because others who fell for it kept silent so more people keep spending gas money and valuable time to go up there and fall for the same scam. It's Christmas time, a time of good cheer. So I decide to do the right thing - prevent DAVID STANLEY DODGE from scamming people of their valuable time and gas. Their advice to me I give to everyone: IF YOU RECEIVE A MAIL FROM DAVID STANLEY DODGE ASKING YOU TO SCRATCH & WIN, EVERYBODY RECEIVES THE SAME MAIL. SO IF YOU THINK A $5 GIFT CARD IS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME AND GAS, STAY AT HOME! Just so you know, I threw the $5 gift card right there in their face because the salesman kept mocking me as I left, laughing and saying "Enjoy your gift card. Enjoy your gift card". I know car salesmen act horrible all the time. But this was one greater then horrible experience for me. Please STAY AWAY FROM DAVID STANLEY DODGE, Midwest City, OK More
We were in the area so we just decided to stop in and look at new trucks to see what they had. The salesman came out and we told him that we were interested in a 1 ton diesel. He showed us the ones he look at new trucks to see what they had. The salesman came out and we told him that we were interested in a 1 ton diesel. He showed us the ones he had in stock but the one we liked the best didn't have a sticker on the window so we asked how much it was. He said he would go inside and check. When he came back out he gave us the price of $45,365.00. So we went inside the office to start the usual back and forth stuff. We unfortunately ended up buying the truck on the spot, which was a very bad mistake on our part because we weren't prepared and we made the mistake of stopping at the dealership pretty late in the evening. After signing all the financing paperwork which didn't get explained to us, probably due to time factor, we ended up with this truck. After getting back home that same night, which was a Saturday, I got on the computer and started looking at David Stanley's website. To my surprise I found the same exact truck, I know this because the VIN and stock numbers on the website were the same numbers that were on our purchase and finance paperwork. But the price they had advertised on the truck was $35,872.00, almost a $10,000.00 difference. Also we did a trade in with our truck and we received about $4,000.00 less than what we found it was worth in the NADA and Kelley Blue Book value for trade in. Also when we had asked the salesperson what incentives they had for the truck we were only told that they had either $4500.00 off or 0% for 72 months. Of course after getting home I also found they were running a special of up to $15,000.00 off the MSRP on all 2009 Ram 2500 and 3500 Quad Cab Trucks, this one we were never told about, which is the type of truck we bought. Needless to say David Stanley ripped us off extremely good. Since this deal was made after closing time on Saturday my husband called the salesman on his cell phone and told him not to do anything to our old truck we had traded until he got over to the dealership first thing Monday morning. He then spoke to a sales manager, Paul Taber, and told him what had happened and had all of the documentation on this matter with him. Mr. Taber said that it should not be a problem to sale us the truck at the sale price listed, but he would have to go upstairs and talk to the upper management. About 4 hours later he came back down and said the upper management said no they would not honor the sales price that it was our responsibility to have done our research and found out before we came in, that we just lost out on this deal, live with it beacuse there's nothing you can do. So beware when you go to David Stanley they will get to you anyway they can, even as prepared as you think you may be. People that don't have internet access are definitely done for. More
We decided to buy Dodge because they were offering double $$ for cash for clunkers. We went and within 10 minutes we knew what we wanted (especially after being pressured to buy that day). We were in the Dea $$ for cash for clunkers. We went and within 10 minutes we knew what we wanted (especially after being pressured to buy that day). We were in the Dealership for 6 and a half hours!! We knew there would be a wait but this was rediculous. So after we settled the buying price and all we waited for finance to meet us. The price of our car was awesome because of the incentives and Family discount. But because of the HUGE discount they pressured us to buy extended warranties. Pressured so much that it became a debate tournament between my husband and the finance guy shawn, until I finally settled it. In turn, he sent in the next guy to try and sell us and extra $1,500 service plan... No thanks! I bought my car two and a half weeks ago and I still haven't received ANY paperwork to prove that this car is mine so I can get a tag for the thing! Additionally I keep getting calls from the dealership for more information that they forgot to get. My dealer came to get my trade in and when he did, I handed him the registration. One week later I got a call from finance asking for it. I said I had given it to James and he call 15 minutes later to tell me he didn't have it. He also hung up on me when I told him it was too bad because I didn't have the thing anymore. The Dodge branch isn't the only bad egg, I've heard that the Chevy branch is just as bad. Do yourself a favor, SPARE yourself! More
I bought a 2007 Chrysler Town and Country from David Stanley Dodge on May 16th 2009. As soon as we found the vehicle we wanted and started negotiating prices, it was obvious that that they were trying Stanley Dodge on May 16th 2009. As soon as we found the vehicle we wanted and started negotiating prices, it was obvious that that they were trying to take advantage of me because I was young, which I didn't take kindly to, especially since I told them upfront that I was shopping with hard-earned combat pay. We walked out of the dealership twice, but we finally made a deal because they finally offered us a decent price plus a good deal for my trade-in. However, during the negotiation the dealer tried to pull all kinds of shady stuff like telling me I needed to sign a paper that said I would buy the vehicle if he got me a certain price before I even got a carfax report for the vehicle or anything. The car had just been traded in the day before so it hadn't been inspected, but in the contract they specified that a "used car inspection" was due and they promised to fix anything they found, although I didn't expect them to do a great job after the car was sold. I found a few things wrong (falling weatherstripping, warped brake rotor) and I brought it to them for the inspection. They "fixed" the problems, but the fixes only lasted about 4 days, and one of my shocks almost fell off because the bolt was loose, so I took it back and demanded they make it right, which the sort of did, although my brakes still aren't right. Now, 2 and a half weeks later, they still haven't paid for my trade-in, and I'm about to have to make another payment. I have been trying for 5 days straight, 3 or 4 times a day, to get a hold of them, but they will not return my calls, and I can never be connected to a real person. Very bad experience. Would not recommend this dealership. More
Wife and I went to this dealership because we heard a radio ad stating they would make the payments on any new 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad or Crew cab for 2 years. The only thing that was said at the end of radio ad stating they would make the payments on any new 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad or Crew cab for 2 years. The only thing that was said at the end of the radio ad was that the dealer retained all incentives and rebates and if you was upside down with the car you were currently in the 2 years would help you get right side up. So I called and asked them specifically if there was a catch and they said no. So we drove an hour to David Stanley Dodge in OKC, across from Tinker AFB and set out to find a new Crew Cab. Right off the bat they had none of the trucks in stock that they had listed on their website. Everything was much more expensive. So the salesman said he would talk to the sales manager and when he came back he explained to us that they would get us in one of the trucks they had for the 30k we wanted to pay. After picking out a truck we went inside where Sam our salesman took our information and disappeared for about 30 minutes. When he came back he asked us to sign a paper stating that if everything looked good we would for sure buy from them. We signed it but that was all we signed. So he then disappeared again and we must have sat there for another 30 minutes before Chris, the sales manager, came to see us. He had a sheet of paper and confirmed with us that we wanted the special offer we heard on the radio. He then left and was gone for about 30 minutes before coming back and said heres our offer. 35k with 840.00 a month payments with 4k cash back. First off we explained to Sam before he left the first time we were only willing to pay 30k for a vehicle and wanted payments around 500.00. So this should have been clear to Chris. I promptly explained we weren't willing to accept that and Chris said he would go back and re figure it out again and come back. Another 30 minutes went by and no one had came back so I went looking for someone. I found Sam walking around and explained to him we didn't want to sit there all day. He said he would go talk to Chris. About 10 minutes later Chris came out with the same sheet as before but this time the offer was around 34k and 640.00 a month payments. I was pretty upset by now and he could tell. I explained that I didn't understand why it was so hard for them to understand what I said. I only wanted to pay 30k for the vehicle and wanted 500.00 a month payments. And if they couldn't make that happen just tell us and we would leave. He said he would go see what he could do and be right back. When he came back he said he could do the 2 year payment offer by giving us 12k cash back but he would have to add the 12k onto the price of the truck which would make the truck 40k! I said are you kidding me? He just gave me this blank expression like he couldn't believe I asked him that. So the deal would be 12k cash back for us to make the payments on the truck until it was down to 28k, then we would take over the payments. This doesn't sound like the ad I heard... I guess he thought we were stupid enough to do this and get stuck paying the interest on a 40k vehicle. I told him we weren't going to do that and he offered to sell us the truck outright for 27k... I asked him, “Is that with you guys making the payments for 2 years?” and he stated, “No we can't do that”. Sounds like false advertising to me. This is where we ended our conversation and left. So 2 hours wasted looking at the vehicles then another 2 hours wasted getting the run around... I seriously doubt these guys have a clue how to run a business. For them to take 4 hours out of someones time and act like its no big thing to do just makes me feel like they enjoy doing it. When we bought our 2008 Prius it took us 1 hour from the time we picked out the vehicle to the time we walked out the door and drove off. To the guys who work for David Stanley, if you read this you should take note of these complaints and fix this issue... You will gain more business, make more sales, and be happier in life if you will listen to your customers. If not your going to make more and more people unhappy, mad, disgusted, and unwilling to ever do business with you again... just like my wife and I. More
went to purches a new Ram 2500. the trip prior I had asked for the best price they could give me, Chris the manager lied and didn't tell me of all the discounts. this time I was told there were 3 in sto asked for the best price they could give me, Chris the manager lied and didn't tell me of all the discounts. this time I was told there were 3 in stock. cody was unable to assist at that time, was turned over to another person. told him I had to be elsewhere in 40 minutes or so, was told no problem. went outside to look and compare the 3 trucks. it was raining, was never even offered to share his umbrella. I asked to have copies of the three build sheets to compare. He just kept asking which color we wanted. I told Cody I wanted all three build sheets, he said the sales person would have to get them that was his job. it was a major fight, still did not get them. this was just the start to make a long story short they offered the truck at 20,000 then tacked on the full amount of the balance of my trade in(in other words buy there truck pay for the trade in too and give them said trade in. I ask them if they thought I was stupid, told them I wanted my keys back,I was leaving.the sales person went to the managers office to get my keys put them in his pocket. it wasn't until I threatento call the piolice did I get them back. Presently I await a call back from my Lawyer and Chrysler corp. More
You have to really watch their paperwork. I ended signing 3 sales contracts in about 2 hour and did'nt catch in the last one and they had changed it from a 60 month period to 84 monthes. I did'nt catch this 3 sales contracts in about 2 hour and did'nt catch in the last one and they had changed it from a 60 month period to 84 monthes. I did'nt catch this until it was too late to get corrected ,so I'm stuck with it. Needless to say every time I get in it, I think about this and it ruins my day. More
dealership screwed me by sticking me with the same finance company that i asked not to be with so i got hooked by that alone. This dealership told me that they were going to get me into a vehicle that finance company that i asked not to be with so i got hooked by that alone. This dealership told me that they were going to get me into a vehicle that would get me rightside up and eat up the negative equity of my trade in. The liers put me in a 2008 pt cruiser for $17,000 and instead of being a couple thousand upside down now i'm $7000 upside down. I would recommend anyone considering david stanley to runaway from that idea because they will hook you in any way they can don't do it. If your looking to great your credit in better standing you will probably have a better chance of going to express credit auto. More
I got a publicity on the mail from these guys with a scratch off extravaganza, which I won and I went to reclaim my prize, which was supposed to be a $2,500 gift card, but the guys gave me a $5 gift car scratch off extravaganza, which I won and I went to reclaim my prize, which was supposed to be a $2,500 gift card, but the guys gave me a $5 gift card. Never gonna buy a Dodge in my life. That just shows how honest these people are. More
