Service experience good but not new car purchase! The Good: I have taken our Honda here for oil change/tire rotation. Service folks are friendly and everything happened promptly. I don't know how it would be for more involved/expensive repairs. We were looking to buy a second car. The test drive experience was fine. The salesman was very helpful in showing us some of the features. Went back home, emailed a few dealers, got quotes. I emailed the salesman about the quotes and he said that they will beat/match the price. We were keen to buy from this dealership because we live very close and it would be convenient to bring both cars for servicing as well. The Not so good: We went again to check out additional colors and salesman was helpful in showing us the cars. I gave him the printed email OTD quote from another dealer. Salesman went to the sales manager, and came back to say that the other dealer's quote was missing the door edge guards (MSRP $84). The price offered by the sales manager was $300 higher. Even adding the $84 plus labor for the door edge guard, he could have easily come down a little further (to live up to the promise of matching or beating other dealer prices). However, the sales manager didn't want to lower the price at all. We shook hands and left disappointed. Nothing out of the ordinary when it comes to the car buying process in this country! What happened the next day is terrible. 9:09am - Sent an email to salesman and Assistant Internet Director expressing my concerns with the experience on the previous night 9:59am - Received a voicemail from salesman 10:15am - Called salesman. We spoke amicably and I agreed to purchase at the price received the previous night (i.e. $300 higher than other dealer's quote) 10:46am - Salesman sent an email confirming an appointment for us to come in the evening for the purchase 3pm - Salesman called me to inform me that the sales manager has backed out of the offer. He wanted us to come in again to re-negotiate a price. I politely thanked him and refused! 5:43pm - Salesman emailed me that the sales manager has now reconsidered and is willing to offer the car at $300 more ($600 more than other dealer's quote). 6:45pm - I emailed salesman thanking him and refused the even higher sales price! What I don't understand is why someone claiming to be the highest volume dealer in the DFW area has to play these games. Don't offer to match/beat others' prices. Don't play games with customers over a few hundred dollars More
Great Experience I purchased a 2016 Touring Elite Odyssey for my wife 2 weeks ago. I contacted New Car Director Clyde Jacobs directly as we had purchased a 2013 Touri I purchased a 2016 Touring Elite Odyssey for my wife 2 weeks ago. I contacted New Car Director Clyde Jacobs directly as we had purchased a 2013 Touring Elite Odyssey at McDavid and were interested in upgrading. I put my request to Mr. Jacobs via email and he promptly email me back and met my requests. My wife and I went to the dealership later that evening where Mr. Jacobs paired us with John Pomroy and we picked out the Odyssey she wanted. We went back the next morning and completed the transaction. Finance Manager Aaron Koronkiewicz handled our financing and paperwork quickly and easily and also assisted us in getting a great extended warranty at a fantastic price. We also dealt with Lexi who was assisting our salesperson John and met Pooyah who was a sales manager. Every person we came in contact with excellent and made sure we had a great experience. After our purchase, we needed to add some accessories and Julian Solorzano got us in the same day the parts arrived and had them installed in less than 2 hours. We couldn't be happier with our purchase! A job well done by the team at McDavid Honda in Frisco! My wife is thrilled and that makes me happy! Thank you. More

Complete waste of my time I started my used car search a few weeks ago. I was 0 for 2 with salesmen descriptions of used vehicles not living up to the hype. So...when I calle I started my used car search a few weeks ago. I was 0 for 2 with salesmen descriptions of used vehicles not living up to the hype. So...when I called on a car at McDavid Honda I let the salesman know I was skeptical of salesmen used vehicle assessments. He acknowledged my concern, felt the same way and proceeded to tell me about an issue with the car. He later called and said he was wrong and it was a very clean car. So...I committed the 4 hours of my time (and gas) to drive up to see it. It didn't take me much but a few minutes to blow holes in his assessment. It was dirty so I asked him to run it thru the car wash before I let him have it. The car wash didn't help...lots of paint chips that were poorly attempted to cover (probably by the previous owner), large stain on a door larger than the size of a grape fruit, a front quarter panel that had been painted but still had a clean Carfax. I didn't even bother wasting my time to drive it. And the sales manager had the nerve to ask me if there was anything he could do to make me be interested...I laughed and walked away. As a matter of fact, this was the worst of the three experiences. And to top it off...I got a call the next day to thank me for my visit and to see if there was anything they could do to get me interested in the car. Did they not get the message when I let them have it about what was wrong with the vehicle and then I walked away without even driving it!!! More

I thought I would not be able to get a car for a very long time. What I found was a very compassionate and understanding staff, and to be quite honest, I have a new outlook on the car buying experience. Aaron in financing did his job quickly and honestly, and I applaud him for making me feel comfortable to be in his office and not nervous or beat down by the time I left. Erika began the process though, and I want to impress upon any reader, she was the main reason I came into the dealership. She drove to Dallas and picked me up because I did not have a car, and she drove me to the dealership. She was in constant contact, but she did it the way I wanted. I chose email because I cannot communicate via phone as often because of my job. She handled everything via email, and when we finally spoke, I could hear the smile in her voice. She made sure I was given red carpet treatment all the way, and I am most thankful for her service. She had the car ready, prepped and detailed, ready for me to drive it off the lot. I did! And I wanted to give these two folks a shout out for making my customer service experience one of the best ever. I drove off in a 2012 Toyota Prius C, and I have not been happier with an all around experience. Thank you Erika and Aaron! More
