This dealership is void of any ethics. I bought a Ridgeline from them and we ended up $8,500 less than where they originally tried to sell me. They tried to absolutely steal my trade-in. This, of course, led to me giving them poor remarks on their survey. At that point, they started calling me and begging me to change it. My salesman called me and told me that the dealership would take $1000 from his check if I don't change it. The floor mats included in their $1100 add-on package are not even real Honda floor mats. They are generic cheapo floor mats. I would suggest staying away from this dealer all together. This is a terrible dealership. More
I had such a great experience buying from David McDavid Honda of Frisch. Steve Harris made every step of the buying process so easy. I was moving across the country when I bought a 2023 CRV from him, so he held onto the car at the dealership until the following week, and it was going to be almost impossible for me to come get the car right away when I moved in, so Steve drove the car to my house (30-40 minutes away). Stay away from this dealership to save some money and respect. Had a very bad experience with Zach and his team. Almost finalized a car. On the first they denied DCU financing by giving wierd reason. They called 2nd day back and said they will accept DCU and asked me to come and finalize. When I reached there as per the decided time, they started doing the formalities and then in middle , Zach tells me Car is sold .wow... that's was so strange Wasted my 2 days and then nothing. The sales manager is so shameless that they can't even say sorry for it. They offered me other crv hybrid at same price with hail damage with $500 less than current price . Even for hail damage they charge msrp .. Anyways I went to Classic Honda of Texoma and got a new crv hybrid L at MSRP.. saved almost 1200 bucks .. Also I felt , the Indians people are not treated well by this dealership, (my personal opinion but felt in the same way, especially the sales manager and Zach) More
We bought a 2020 Odyssey a year ago. After taking it in four times to have the audio system repaired it was still broken. Every time we took it in they told us it was fixed. Then, after questioning why it kept breaking after a week or two, Chris said it was an Apple problem. After doing our own research we found out that it was a faulty part from Honda. But they never admitted to the class action lawsuit against Honda. They were never forthcoming with the fact that most of the Pilots, Passports, and Odysseys have this problem. June 2023 we were sick of trying to get it repaired so bought a brand new 2023 Odyssey. We had it only two weeks when it had a major malfunction. We were left stranded hours from home after multi systems failed and the emergency brake would not disengage. We had it towed, at our expense, back to DMcD. They’ve had it for two weeks and have continuously told us we put bad gas in it. Called the gas station, no other complaints. Nor were there any symptoms of bad gas. Now they say it’s the EGR valve and want us to pay a large amount to get our van back and still no solid evidence as to what went wrong. We have zero confidence it’s actually fixed and are afraid to drive it away from this dealer. They have been very DECEITFUL. From our experience, these people are totally incompetent. Can I give zero stars? Our salesman Michael Kennedy was great, but the service people are terrible. Kelvin told us so many different stories. We totally regret buying a second car here. We thought it would be different with a brand new car, we should have known. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALER!! More
Overall horrible experience buying a new Honda Civic EX. When I visited the dealership, while there was no car in stock at that time, we worked on pricing for my desired car. I was told that we have 3.99% When I visited the dealership, while there was no car in stock at that time, we worked on pricing for my desired car. I was told that we have 3.99% APR financing available for new purchases as well as a $500 Honda Graduate Offer. However, within a few days when the car arrived, I was not only not offered 3.99%, I was treated as a sub-prime borrower with over 800 FICO score! I was able to refinance the loan at 4.94% within a week. I was denied a graduate offer even though I am completing my master’s at the end of the year. There was no walk-thru of the car or basic training on the new car features. Our family has purchased a car from this dealership in the last decade and our experience was great but with my new experience, I am my greater family will never return to this dealership ever again! Second Honda, first, with this dealership. I have owned many cars with different dealerships and this is the worst dealership I’ve ever worked with the service department is by far the worst I I have owned many cars with different dealerships and this is the worst dealership I’ve ever worked with the service department is by far the worst I have ever dealt with disorganized, will not return calls. I have had trouble since the day I purchased the car with this dealership. The last straw is I had appointment last week to have the car serviced. The appointment was for 11 o’clock. I waited three hours for an oil change. I told them that I also needed them to look at some thing that was wrong with the car. They said I had to bring it back. I scheduled an appointment to have my car serviced this morning and when I brought it in, they told me it would be two days before they can even look at it and diagnose it. No loaner cars, no pick up service - joe sims the technician was rude and told me if I wanted it done sooner I should take it to another dealership. I will be going to another dealership for the remainder of the time I own this car More
I just bought an 2023 Honda CRV Hybrid from McDavid Honda of Frisco. This dealer is deceitful on their website advertisements . They DO NOT NOTE that they are selling these 2023 Honda CRV hybrids th of Frisco. This dealer is deceitful on their website advertisements . They DO NOT NOTE that they are selling these 2023 Honda CRV hybrids that have had HAIL DAMAGE ( due to the recent hail in the DFW area). The salesperson says ( deceitfully) - that they are discounting the car by $1k ( if on their lot for 30= days but then they have added $1,500 of wheel locks and splash guards and tinting - their cost minimal) - but not told you that the NEW CAR had hail damage until you finish finalizing the deal. I had looked at their pricing on their website including getting my trade in value with Kelly Blue book instant cash offer. When I went to their showroom and met the salesperson Mr. Ed Nogar - I asked them about ANY hail damage and was told that They have NOT reported ANY HAIL Damage to CAR FACTS. However after finalizing the deal they ask the customers to sign a Note that they are aware of the HAL DAMAGE to the NEW CAR ( estimated at $2,500). However they do NOT DISCOUNT The CAR for this HAIL DAMAGE ( fixed by them as they claim they are sell insured) and NOT Reported anywhere on CARFACTS. ATROCIOUS POOR CUSTOER SERVICE TOO:- DO NOT EXPECT ANY CUSTOMER SETVICE FROM THIS DEALER IN TERMS OF THE SALES PERSON EXPLAINING THE BASIC FEATURES OF THE NEW CAR WHEN YOU BUY THE CAR. THEY WANT YOU TO SIGN THE DOCUUMENTS AND TAKE THE NEW CAR WITH YOU BUT DO NOT HAVE THE TIME TO EXPLAIN THE FEATURES OF THE NEW 2023 HONDA CRV HYBRID. THE MCDAVID HONDA SALEPERSON AND HIS MANGER RUSH THE SALE PROCESS BUT THEN IT TOOK OVER OVER 1.5 HOUR FOR THE DOCUMENTS TO BE PREPARED ON A CASH DEAL. ( BUT NO TIME TO EXPLAIN HOW TO USE THE FEATURES OF THE NEW CAR BY THE SALES PERSON??). THEN WHEN I ASKED THE SALE PERSON - MR NOGAR TO EXPLAIN THE BASIC FEATURES AN SHOW TO USE THEM ( CRUISE CONTROL; APPLE CAR PLAY, ETC.) HE TOLD ME TO GO TO THE HONDA WEBSITE AND LOOK AT THE VIDEOS AS HE WAS BUSY. HE SAID MAY BE YOU CAN COME BACK ANOTHER DAY - BUT TAKE AN APPOINTMENT - AND I CAN SPEND SOME TIME EXPLAINING HOW TO USE THESE FEATURES TIME PERMITTING. SO I HAVE TO DRIVE 30 M AGIAN TO LEARN THESE FEATURES. I HAVE CALLED TO TAKE AN APPOINTMENT ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT "I AM VERY BUSY NOW" BY THE SALES PERSON. NOT ONLY IS THIS DEALSHIP - DAVID MCDAVID HONDA OF FRISCO DECEIPTFUL I THEIR SALES ADVERTS ON THIER WEBSITE ( NOTTELLING YOU OF THE HAIL DAMAGE) BUT ALSO EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE ONCE YOU BUY A NEW VEHICLE FOM THEM AND NOT HAVE TIME TO EXPLAIN THE FEATURES AND HOW TO USE THEM. Complete Disappointment! !! This is our 4th Honda car overall and first with this dealership. We love the new car but had a disappointing purchase experience with this deal !! This is our 4th Honda car overall and first with this dealership. We love the new car but had a disappointing purchase experience with this dealership. We decided to buy 2023 CRV and reached out to one of their sales associate (dnt want to mention any names). He was proactive and followed up with the details we needed. The car had dealer added cost which I asked if that could be removed. Associate asked his manager who promised that if we come with a check then we could talk/have deal. We recently had a newborn baby who was settling at home at the time and was bit distressed and the mom was nursing too. I specifically mentioned this to these folks and wanted to close the deal as early as possible as we wanted the car on the mom’s name. When we reached the dealership, spoke to the associate who was very professional and took our numbers and took it to the manager who came to us after a bit and said NO DEAL to our faces. It was very rude and very unprofessional. We understand sometimes the dealing numbers can be lowball and there is always scope for negotiation which this manager failed in all angles. We left the place very disappointed. We actually had Accord which we wanted to trade in and upgrade to new CRV. Next day I used AmEx auto purchase program to get trade in value for our current car and wanted to close the car purchase with the dealership who is a certified dealership in the program. Again, the same Sales guy was very good in coordinating the purchase but he didnt have any authority with the numbers at all. We didnt get the value for the trade in that we expected but still proceeded with the purchase. We downed minimum amount with AmEx credit card to be eligible for their Auto Purchase program and added some extra services talking to their finance manager. We purchased the car for MSRP + $1198 Dealer added price (honda pro pack plus tint which is now where near to $1198) + extended warranty, maintenance. We didnt get any deal in any of these numbers. Now after closing thr purchase, their finance manager reached back saying the loan application was denied since we downed minimum amount with a credit card and asked us to pay the amount with debit or check and would refund back the credit card amount. We paid off that credit card using our savings account and they refunding that amount back to our credit card would put it in negative and paying with the debit would put extra burden on us financially. Else, they said they would refund the down payment back to credit card and put it in the loan amount which again our monthly payment would increase by $50, again this would be a burden on us financially. We had to compromise at every step and the experience was a complete disappointment through out the entire car purchase. We already are stressed and this extra stress was just too much. Their finance manager assured us he would fix this but we are still waiting for an update. God knows how much more stress they are going to put us in further. And now after a week, we got an email from their GM about the new offers (new car price match) and trade in appraisal boost offer. We just bought the new car a week back and begged for a deal/offers before but after purchase, after a week they changed their attitude. I sent a request to them to reconsider our purchase and make it right by giving us any cash back or any incentive but there is no response as expected. I just feel like our purchase experience was HORRIBLE, STRESSFUL and I would NOT recommend this dealership to any of my circle or friends. More
