I came to the store in hopes of buying a new vehicle but was not going to buy unless I was in love! Tim helped me find a most perfect car that I could not be happier in anything else at this time! He was am was not going to buy unless I was in love! Tim helped me find a most perfect car that I could not be happier in anything else at this time! He was amazingly professional and made sure I got the best deal the was to be had. Before leaving he was able to tell me things that I would never have even realized if he hadn't. I since then have brought my car back for window tinting and have doubled my happiness. I will be purchasing my future cars with David McDavid Honda! XO More
McDavid is an old school dealership that practices the bait & switch tactics from the 90's. The initial sales experience was good, with our salesman Ronnie doing a good job of accomodating our requests bait & switch tactics from the 90's. The initial sales experience was good, with our salesman Ronnie doing a good job of accomodating our requests to see multiple vehicles. Ronnie was patient and didnt push us around. After we found a couple of cars we liked, we told the salesman and and sales manager that they were all too expensive. The sales manager asked for our price, which was $2500 less (used 2007 Accord EX-L) than the sticker and $500 less than any other dealer for comparable vehicle. He matched my bid. This is going to be an easy, pleasant car buying experience, or so we thought. Then we went to see Duc Le, the Finance guy. This is where the tricks began. We had cash to pay for the vehicle by way of a pre-approved loan and blank check from our bank. This makes negotiating so much easier. When I told them about the pre-approved loan, they asked what the interest rate was. I told them 5.29%. They asked if they could try to earn our business on financing too. I said sure, as long as they could beat the interest rate. Duc initially came back with an offer of %8.03 percent. I just laughed and said No. Duc then gave us the spiel about the extended warranty programs (my Accord was past the factory bumper-to-bumper plan). The cheapest warranty was $3998! xxx? I told him I wasnt paying four grand for any warranty in the world. This is where the fun started. Duc then offered to give us the "employee discount" and lower our interest rate to 5.09% if we also purchased the warranty. Again I laughed. Then Duc lowered the warranty to $2100, almost in half! Again I laughed. Duc then lowered the warranty to $1600. I said I was interested but not sold. Duc then threw in three years of maintenance. So I signed the papers. Lessons: 1) Get your own financing arranged before you shop. This puts you in a great postion of power. Even if you decide to use the dealer financing, it makes negotiating simple. Dont talk payments. Talk final price. 2) Research research research. Look on the Internet to see how much extended warranty programs cost (especially for used vehicles). 3) Dont trust anyone. Dont trust the Finance guys, ever. Look over the final docs. You can negotiate on things like doc prep fees, etc. 4) The cost of warranties are negotiable. I felt I got the best of this dealer, and am happy with the outcome. But it did take research on my part. Also, I'm not easily pushed around. Dont let them push you into anything. If you are not 100% happy, just walk out. Really, walk out. It does wonders. More

I had this guy called buddy I given my car stating brake problems and car shaking and stuff he said everything will be done and after I took my car back no change of anything they did n my car stating brake problems and car shaking and stuff he said everything will be done and after I took my car back no change of anything they did not even fill up any of the liquids and took $200 bucks for what ? When I asked why you not even top up the liquids he said sorry bring the car again when I'm free and he will do it. What the heck in the world I given for service ?. He took me to some drive applied the brakes really hard and said whenever I get some noise in the barkes just do the same and the problem is gone. This is what they do for $200 bucks of service. Well, my wife wanted a white van and this dealership was the only one that had the trim level and color in stock at the time she was ready to buy. I made it clear that I was not interested in the stereotypical new car sales experience with all of the haggling and antics that go on. I was assured that this would be a positive sales experience and that I would be a raving fan. I can't understand why they (seemingly intentionally) did exactly what I suggested that they avoid. The salesman seemed willing but had litle to no product knowledge. The finance "manager" was a complete loser. He actually quoted me 12% with my A++ credit. It's the usual thing, but again, I didn't come to the dealer for shell games on margin, I came to purchase a van at a fair proce without all of the BS. Avoid this dealer at all costs. If your Honda breaks down in front of this dealer, call a wrecker or push it to ANY other Honda dealer. This is the bottom of the barrel. Old-school, disrespectful, venemous slime oozes from within. STAY AWAY FROM DAVID McDAVID HONDA IN IRVING! They are selling cars for thousands more than the average per Edmunds.com. Jay Kwan (Used Car Finance) was HORRIBLE to us yesterday. We went in to buy TWO selling cars for thousands more than the average per Edmunds.com. Jay Kwan (Used Car Finance) was HORRIBLE to us yesterday. We went in to buy TWO cars (one new, one used). We were pre-approved for purchasing two cars. Jay refused to let us speak with him in private. He sat at a table in the new car showroom with THREE SALESPEOPLE we did not even know looking over our shoulders. We repeatedly asked to be taken into an empty office (it was at 8pm). He was COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Then MICHAEL SAWIN (New Cars Sales Manager) walked in and tried to push us into buying only the new car. He has the voice and demeanor of a FUNERAL DIRECTOR. They were not willing to reduce the price of the vehicle to match the average sales price and were stating that they were "LOSING MONEY" on the deal. BALONEY!! DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR TACTICS! Too bad they were willing to lose TERRIFIC CUSTOMERS with SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS for a down payment for their sneaky tactics. More
Awesome experience, great car and alltogether a good purchase experience. Everything was done professionally, Mr. Salas was great and I highly recommend him. They had someone come and talk to me about purchase experience. Everything was done professionally, Mr. Salas was great and I highly recommend him. They had someone come and talk to me about extras (you know, the coating, and the fabric stuff, the molding, etc.)but not pushy. Just walked through, if I had a question they answered and we moved on. I ended up buying a couple of extras (alarm and tinted windows), got some gap insurance and overall I feel good about the price I paid. I read the other reviews posted here but my experience was completely positive. Love the Honda! More
I had to go to this dealer because I did not get the color that I was looking for in my nearest car dealer. Initially they seemed well to me. Later on I had the worst experience I ever had in my life. T color that I was looking for in my nearest car dealer. Initially they seemed well to me. Later on I had the worst experience I ever had in my life. Their behavior was rude. The finance guy named "DUC LEE" is a cheater and liar. I was a first time buyer and he took the advantage of my simplicity. I was little bit stressed on that day as well. He convinced me to take some warranty by saying that I can cancel at any time without any deduction. . Whenever I went to cancel them I found that they included the "Tire and wheel Guarantee Service $516" inside my sales price and it is non cancelable. While purchasing they assured me quite a few times about full refundable cancellation. But at that time their finance guy completely refused that. This is beyond my expectation from a Honda employee. NEVER TRUST THEIR FINANCE GUYS! NEVER TAKE FINANCING FROM THEM. THEY WILL TRY TO RIPP YOU OFF IN ALL POSSIBLE WAYS More
This place is a joke! I was told I was going to get zero down with a special program, they knew I had no car at the time and had to take a taxi. I paid $80 to get there and did a bait and switch on me and a down with a special program, they knew I had no car at the time and had to take a taxi. I paid $80 to get there and did a bait and switch on me and another salesperson told me they need several thousand down. So I was stuck in irving for several hours with no way to get home which was a hour away. So I paid almost $200 for both ways. They never cared, they are cold & heartless that only care about themselves. Zandra is a joke. Thanks a lot! More
Would not recommend this dealer! First off, I took a deal which charged a $500 premium on the car. Than at financing, there was a ridiculous doc prep/dealer fee which was $200+. The finance guy also mentione which charged a $500 premium on the car. Than at financing, there was a ridiculous doc prep/dealer fee which was $200+. The finance guy also mentioned to me that if I buy the warranty, he'd lower my rate and I could cancel after the purchase. I had signed documents before the car had come in. Once it came in, the interior was a different color and management refused to get me what we had agreed upon. I was a returning customer and treated with disrespect. This dealership is practicing Bait and Switch. HIGHLY DON'T RECOMMEND! However, Sterling McCall Honda in Houston, TX is a GREAT dealership. The easiest buying experience and no extra "doc prep" fees. I will never fall for the "flyer in the mail" trick ever again! I got a flyer that said that I might of won an xbox. I decide to go out there and at least see. Of course I didn't win it but since trick ever again! I got a flyer that said that I might of won an xbox. I decide to go out there and at least see. Of course I didn't win it but since I was there I thought I should look at something. The guy admitted to us that he didn't even work there until after I told him what I wanted. He said "don't tell me tell someone who actually works here, I'm with a marketing company that works with several banks to get rid of repo cars". I look at a couple of cars that I thought were ok and saw the payments not prices on the windshield. R-I-P O-F-F'-S If you ask me. For example I saw a used Sentra that I kind of like (cheapest car Nissan makes). Usually Nissan dealers sell them for around $190-230 a month, this one was $548 A MONTH! How is that possible you ask? Well I get on the net when I get home and play with their payment calculator. They told me the price online which was $16,500, about normal for a nearly new one (this was an '05), typed in $39 down like the windshield said and played around with the interest rate a little, how I came out to $548 was $39 down, and 25.5% interest! Horrible for a car purchase. Something tells me that this sale was intended for people with shot credit. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from the used car department/lot. More
