I have been a Honda customer for almost 10 years...As I live in Irving, McDavid honda is only dealership near to. I do my recommended service at Honda authorized dealer. I moved to Mesquite for a year, and live in Irving, McDavid honda is only dealership near to. I do my recommended service at Honda authorized dealer. I moved to Mesquite for a year, and back again to Irving now. Honda had 2 recall on my year model Civic. I took my car to McDavid Honda for recall and had brakes done too at the same time. I did not look at the bill when I paid. On the second recall back in Dec 2012. I had an oil change at the express service just a week ago. After the service i was feeling difference in my car performance, The throttle was not smooth and my gas mileage dropped from 30 to 27 inside the city. When I mentioned this problem on the recall visit, this service adviser answered with an attitude saying " Oh we can not do anything about it, If we look at this matter, we will have to charge you $99 for diagnose fee" I told him I am having this problem after the oil change, but he still said can not do anything until I pay $99. Even the manager said the same thing. I was there 9 a.m., was told to leave my car and had picked up around 5:30 p.m. and it was just a low beam headlight. after i took the delivery my "Airbag" light had come-on, when i asked why the light has come- on , he said it was on since you dropped your car. I was so upset, first my problem from the last oil change was not taken care, second, wasted the day by dropping the car for Recall, and third they lied to my face about the Airbag light. When I got home I called American Honda, and when I was going through the bills of McDavid Honda, i found that I was charged for the first Recall when they worked on my car and on the second recall work paper they wrote a note on bottom saying "customer did not Authorized for the service recommended" which was around a total of $900. For $40 of oil change,. i was going through these hassle, just Imagine after I pay $900, if something goes wrong How much hassle do I have to go through to get it solved? They think they are the only with jobs. We customer doe snot have to do anything. Later I found that McDavid honda of Irving has been sold and now run by new owner. That is why i was seeing so many new faces in the service department. with this management the service department is going to rip lot of customers. Always check your bill and ask questions about the work done in your car. "We are the one who drives it everyday and pay money to keep it running smooth" More
It was my first experience buying the car from the dealership. The sales process was really good but it took some time so when I had to sign the papers I have not noticed all the charges being added. dealership. Next day I read the contract and wanted to cancel those extras for 4000$, I came to the dealership, signed the cancelation papers and ... It has been already 4 months and I still have not got my refund... I call, leave messages and they are not calling back, will see. More

The salesman was great and gave just what he said he would do without any hesitation. The car I purchase was what he described and the amount for the trade that he gave was on line and this was all ove would do without any hesitation. There are more than just a handful of Honda dealers withing a 50 miles radius from where I live. I did my homework thoroughly and asked all dealers the same questions. John Toland was one of only two withing a 50 miles radius from where I live. I did my homework thoroughly and asked all dealers the same questions. John Toland was one of only two who did give clear answers. John did need help from his Manager when I was getting quite adamant about how much I was willing to pay. What we have settled for was that I got a great deal and they had a great sale. More
The worst experience I ever had. Gordon is a big liar and John is no better. Even Gordon's manager stuck by him. They play games and I would say buyer aware. My husband and I recently purchased a certified pre-owned Honda from this dealership. For the salesman this purchase was very easy, my husband I already new they exact we wanted and already had financing. A Honda from this dealership. After we purchased the vehicle we were unable to receive any service or help unless my husband showed up at the dealership. I purchased a certified car and only 3 weeks later I am having brake or rotary issues and there are 2 lights that are coming on to indicate there is a problem. When reaching out to the dealership for assistance, they stated they do not provide loaner cars and the shuttle has a 5 person minimum to provide to us while my car is being worked on. My husband and I purchased a pre-owned car from Texas Direct and received exceptional service. I should have taken my business there. I will not recommend David McDavid Irving to anyone, nor will I go back. There service is horrible. Once the sale is done they are done with you. Very Unsatisfied, Morgan More
