I got my 2013 Honda Accord Coupe from David Mcdavid Honda in Irving on May 31, 2013 and had a fantastic experience. I communicated with a salesman (John) through emails before I actually drove up there and t in Irving on May 31, 2013 and had a fantastic experience. I communicated with a salesman (John) through emails before I actually drove up there and told him the price I wanted to pay for the vehicle. After exchanging a few emails, he gave me the price I was looking for and the next morning I drove to the dealership and the car was waiting for me in the front and John had everything ready for me to sign, I didnt even have to deal with the managers because he already got the price approved with them when we were emailing. So when I got there, I just signed the paperwork, John showed me some cool features on the car and I was out of there! This was a no hassle transaction and will most definitely recommend this dealership/salesman to friends and family. More
Lea Gibson was the sales associate who assisted me and my wife with our car purchase. Lea was very helpful, answered every question we had, and made our purchasing experience a pleasant one. My experience was not pleasant. Mr. Patel would not state unequivocally the price of the car until I filled out the finance form -- which was not necessary because I was paying cash. I should have left at th unequivocally the price of the car until I filled out the finance form -- which was not necessary because I was paying cash. I should have left at that point. I received very little in the way of instruction for use of the "features" of the car. I had the distinct perception that, because I balked at filling out the finance form, he--and the rest of the staff--considered me a nuisance even though I wrote them a check for $18,000. IT IS NOW SIX MONTHS LATER, AND I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE LICENSE PLATES FOR MY CAR. More

This is one of the worst experience I ever had at Honda dealership. I visited David McDavid Honda of Irving to purchase Civic EX on 8th Jun 2013. Mousa (Salesman) helped me selecting a car, and started pri dealership. I visited David McDavid Honda of Irving to purchase Civic EX on 8th Jun 2013. Mousa (Salesman) helped me selecting a car, and started pricing discussion. My wife was not with me during this visit. Before the pricing negotiation started, I mentioned that I have to bring my spouse to select the color of the car. Salesman agreed and expressed no problem with this request. Mousa and Jim handled the price negotiations very professionally and we arrived at an agreed price. Then salesman asked me for the deposit of $500 so that the deal can be interlocked, and I can go back and bring my wife to select a color. I gave him my credit card. 5 Mins later he came back and insisted to decide color of the car right then and there. I went inside their office, Jim directed me to talk to Selim Arisoy (Sales Director). This is when the shocking experience started. Selim told me that I can not leave the shop without finalizing the color, and he was very rude. I requested him that we have interlocked a price, you can process the deposit, you might want to hold on to the documentation as I plan to come back in 30 mins. He refused to hold on the deal, or even taking $500 deposit. A sales director (i.e. Selim) could not wait for 30 mins for a customer satisfaction. I told him I will even prefer to not buy a car than ignoring my wife's selection of color. AND HE WAS OK even with a customer walking out of the shop (after they almost sold me the car). It was not my loss, I will go ahead and buy the same car from other dealer. but It is this dealership's loss, and something that Honda should take VERY SERIOUSLY. More

Everything was pretty standard car dealer hustle back and forth. My wife and I came in with what I thought was a reasonable settle-on price "out the door" and we went back and forth a while. When it came d forth. My wife and I came in with what I thought was a reasonable settle-on price "out the door" and we went back and forth a while. When it came down to negotiating the last $250 difference, they tried to say that they agreed to the final price "without tint" in the package... In Texas... We were never told that. Period. We said we felt like they were trying to hustle us and held firm on the price "with" tint. Gordon told us that the sales manager would probably "let us walk" if we didn't agree to come up $250 or take the car without tint. We held firm and he said "OK, I will be right back." We did not see him for 15 minutes. During that time Sales manager (aka every bad cliche' sales line you can think of Michael Sawin) walks by and waves at us a bit theatrically and says "Have a nice day, we will see you later!" My wife and I, awaiting Gordon's promised return, look at one another a bit confused and ask each other what the heck that had meant? Now, he did this passing by from about 15 feet away, he did not come up to us and say this, and he continued right on by to other customers. When we finally did see Gordon again, we were working our way towards the door and he came casually strolling out of a back hallway drinking a cup of coffee and we say "we were wondering where you went?" He acts surprised, as though he hadn't told us he would "Be right back" when he left us earlier, and says "Oh, did you decide to help us out a little bit?" Exasperated at his arrogance and lack of respect I uttered a "Pssh" sound and we immediately left the building, got in our 2008 Accord we had purchased from them new years before, and went to Vandergriff Honda in Arlington where we enjoyed the most pleasant new car buying experience either of us had ever had. We even agreed on a price $100 over what David McDavid tried to force us to accept underhandedly just in spite of our experience with them. If they had just politely told us that they were not going to accept our offer and had not acted so arrogantly and dis-respectfully we might have actually returned to their dealership over the $100 difference to concede to their offer. They not only lost a repeat customer on that sale but I would drive to Alaska to buy a Honda before I ever returned to buy another vehicle from this dealership for the rest of my life. I hope your that their GM is as amused by their actions when I write to them next because most of the time permanently driving away repeat customers is frowned upon! Do yourselves a favor and skip this dealership. More
