I really don't like dealing with car dealerships because of the pushy behavior I experienced before but this two gentlemen proved otherwise. My car buying/negotiation experience with Felix was hussle free. He explained all the technology and went above and beyond to demonstrate how to connect the phone, using the map, adjusting the car seats, operating the radio. Felix didn't assume I know all that stuff which of course is foreign to me. The only downside the car came without a manual. Please if you can get one for me I would appreciate. For Rafael he was outstanding, paper work was not that overwhelming. I thank you for making my car buying experience hustle free. About the car itself I can't comment on that for now since I haven't used it since driving it home. Mary Mungai More

They had Sales was very good not the usual BS about costs and trade in value. Then came the finance department. This have been 3 months of errors. They had the wrong VIN number, so I learned to take a photo of any VIN of a car I am purchasing. Thought it was corrected on the second visit. But the bank received the incorrect paper work. Dealing with the bank is a whole story of how not to treat a customer. Then I get another call that some how the paper work is still not correct. So I am hoping the 3rd time is the last time. The have lost a customer and I will not recommend them to anyone. I also had a short dealing with the service department and would not recommend having your car serviced at this location. More

This is a known, Took 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour in for known engine failure in 2016. The engine failure occured at 53,000 miles. Code was P0303. This is a known, well documented, issue due to piston ring issues that will eventually foul the spark plugs. Honda replaced the spark plugs and updated the PCM, but didn't fix the piston rings (the real problem). 7,000 miles later, another engine failure. This time Honda states it's an o-ring issue. Charged ~$500.00 to fix the issue. 6,000 mile later, another engine failure with the same P0303 code. This time the car is out of warranty and Honda recommends a complete engine rebuild to replace the pistons and spark plugs. The car has 65,000 miles. I Honda used to be known for reliable engines and transmissions. I've lost all confidence in Honda and the David McDavid dealership. Save yourself some trouble and service elsewhere. More

We had a pleasant experience with both Sal, the sales manager After days of reading Consumer Reports, we made the decision to visit this dealership. We had a pleasant experience with both Sal, the sales manager and Jesus Mireles, the sales consultant. We were most impressed with Jesus, who was honest when he did not know the answer to some of our questions but was able to inquire to get our answers. (He had not been at this dealership for very long.) Sal was extremely thorough in explaining all the features in the vehicle once we decided to purchase it. Would highly recommend these two individuals. Our experience took a negative turn when we went to financing. At our age, this is not the first time we had purchased a new vehicle. Upon repeatedly asking about interest rates, the subject was avoided. Would have appreciated saving some time and being upfront. More

One of our vehicles had a minor issue so we dropped it off and DP handled everything, took care of the repair and got us in and out! Great dealership with a super salesman! I believed it as I am buyin I purchased a used odyssey in Mid June and was told that everything is tested/inspected before putting a vehicle for sale. I believed it as I am buying a Honda from Honda dealership so believing that the vehicle should run at least 6 months with any significant issues. Here is what happened, My car stalled within 10 days of purchase and driving less than 500 miles of purchase. Alternator is gone. Went to trustworthy mechanic (Definitely didn't want to go to this dealership) and said that soon need to change the excel assembly (big blow to the pocket). So I believe their inspection might be like washer fluid - check, 4 tires running - check, car starts - check, 'No check engine light' - check. OK let's sell it and let buyer handle it. After N number of used vehicle purchase from independent owners I decided to go to dealership and not a good experience with vehicle. I would prefer other dealerships over this one or buy certified vehicle (still be careful) with extended warranty. More

My paper tag was expired and when I called to ask why I never received my tags in the mail (like the salesman said I would) they kept transferring me all over the dealership. Every person that answered the phone was very rude, except for the lady in finance with the accent, and everyone acted like it was their first day on the job. Now they tell me my tags never came in and they don’t know why they didn’t, and I have to have them reordered and i have to print off another temp tag through my email (we will see if they’re smart enough to remember to email me like they said they would) ... glad to know I paid approximately $600 in TTL just to receive this. I don’t know the names of the employees because they didn’t want to stay o the phone long enough to tell me their names. NEVER GOING BACK. Sad excuse for a large, reputable dealership. More
Horrible Sales and Service by Dealer and Honda David McDavid Honda of Irving, Texas gave me the beast price and experience in buying a car. That was in 2016 when I leased a 2016 CR-V. Fast forwar David McDavid Honda of Irving, Texas gave me the beast price and experience in buying a car. That was in 2016 when I leased a 2016 CR-V. Fast forward to early 2019 and because I had such a great experience back then, I returned to lease another CR-V as my family has grown in size over the last few years. Unfortunately, this experience was a much more negative experience and even though I sort of knew the salesperson (we had worked for same company many many years ago), the price I was charged was inflated as I review the price in retrospect. But it gets worse, much worse! Honda for some reason made some changes to the car but didn't think them through enough before doing so. So imagine that you just leased a new car, and you are at the gym working out, and suddenly it's pouring rain outside. You walk out to your car only to find all 4 windows completely down and your vehicle SOAKED inside! Well, that is what happened to me. And I was baffled because I don't roll my windows down when it's cloudy outside. I typically don't roll all my windows down even when it's not raining. But not knowing any better I thought maybe somehow I had accidentally rolled them down and didn't realize it or overlooked it. Then over the course of the next month this happened several more times, and unfortunately my step-sons wallet and iphone were stolen from the car during one of these times. I called the David McDavid service department in Irving, and the technician I spoke with knew of no reason why this may have happened. They wanted me to drive the 60 or so miles to bring the car in and have it looked at. I wasn't sure if it was a malfunction or what, but decided to contact Honda directly through their online chat feature. Come to find out Honda made a change to where the "unlock" button on the remote key, if pushed twice, would roll all 4 windows down automatically. Why - I do not know why anyone would want that feature??? Very frustrating. What was enraging was the representative on the chat line actually had the nerve to blame me for not knowing about this feature. He or she stated it was on page 153 in the owner's manual and I should have taken the time to review the manual to know that this could have happened. No apology, no ownership, just that I should have read the manual from cover to cover and known every new little feature there was and that Honda makes changes to their vehicle models year over year. I'm really very, very upset with Honda over this - oh, and it took them 4 months to get my new plates to me after they sent me a card in the mail a few weeks after the purchase stating the plates were in; I drove 60 miles to have them put on the car only to learn they could not find them. There were several other irritations about the overall experience - none as large as the windows rolling down automatically - but an email sent to the sales representative went unanswered about those. Then I had changed this review from 3 years ago to a 1-star review and I get a call from the salesman asking me to update it to 5-star (the review itself was still the positive experience fro years ago as I hadn't had time to update the verbiage yet). I'm going to file a BBB complaint and also tell as many people as possible to avoid David McDavid of Irving and all throughout the DFW metroplex for that matter, as I've had negative experiences at other locations e.g. Frisco also. I can only imagine they are all sub-par customer experience locations. Either way - this is a lose-lose situation for both parties, Honda and I - as I will never buy another Honda and had this not happened the sales rep would probably be getting another sale near future from my step-son; but I'm steering him to another brand of car rather than risk him suffering as I have from an overall poor dealership and company that does not stand behind their product or take ownership for mistakes. So very disappointing!!! Also - filed the BBB complaint nearly a month ago to which there was no response as per a letter received from the BBB. More
