A Great vehicle ,Traded for a new Acura MDX I had a 2013 MDX and traded for a new one only because it was getting close to 100,000. This my Third Accura MDX. Each time I was car shopping I looked around at different brands.......and because I could not beat the price, or a salesperson that didn’t know the vehicle, or courtesy, like I have found at David McDavid, I have always returned. They are very knowledgeable and showed me all the new features of the vehicle before I left the showroom. I have never been disappointed. The only reason I don’t always use them for service is that I live 1 hour away. Never even had a need for any major repair to go back down there! TONY YEO was my salesperson and he listened to us as well as knew our concerns for a new vehicle. He made sure we were completely satisfied and knowledgeable about all the new features. More

I took to David McDavid Acura who said warranty expired and they will not cover. Their position apparently is it is perfectly normal for paint to start peeling on a 4 year old luxury Acura. I left message for general manager and did not receive a return phone call. I contacted Acura Client Relations. After weeks of no action or decision, Acura Client Relations finally admitted they also could not get a return phone call from David McDavid Acura. Finally, after I got an estimate from a body shop that Acura uses and who indicates the peeling is due to a defect, Acura Client Relations agreed to pay the damage. They withdrew their agreement when my car was totaled a few days later in an accident (unrelated to the peeling). The insurance company deducted from the value, the paint peeling as prior damage and Acura Client Relations refuses to compensate me from the loss in value which is no fault of mine. One excuse they gave is when the title changes hands or is salvaged, they can't pay me. The title had not and has of this writing, has not changed hands. I still own the vehicle as I have not settled with the insurance company. More

I was suggested two services and called as immediate attention to fix. Both of them proved to be wrong when I checked at other places. Funny part is they contradict their own report in my different visits to their dealership. Example: wheel alignment test was failed at the first time and recommended for wheel alignment tuning. When I went there second time, the same results showed as passed. Yes! The readings are all same the both times. More

Here is the poor expe I went in to test drive a 2018 Acura TLX A-Spec and worked with a guy named Adam Binard. Adam works in the pre-owned sales dept. Here is the poor experience I had. First off, Adam was very cocky and arrogant and obviously very proud of the numerous used car salesman awards he has out on display on his desk. He is definitely the stereo-typical "used car" salesman that everyone dreads when car shopping. He told me on our test drive that sales is just a numbers game and it's all about how people he can get in front of. He's right, but that's something you don't tell a prospect on a test drive. Through normal chit-chat he asked me what I liked about Acuras and if I was considering any other cars. I told him that I've always liked Acuras and that I had a potential deal in the works on a Nissan Maxima. He asked me what Nissan dealership so I told him Cedar Park Nissan. He then laughed and told me that if I wanted a true comparison that I need to compare the TLX to an Infiniti. He then asked me what they offered me for my trade and I told him they offered to completely pay it off. Again, he laughed and told me that he knows several people over at Cedar Park Nissan and that all he has to do is pull out his phone and call the sales manager to make sure I'm not lying. Who does that?!? Then he told me to stop BS-ing him. I told him that they only thing he needs to be worried about is the deal in front of him and to get me the best price if he wants to earn my business. They offered me a price that is below rough trade in value. I told him it wasn't going to work and then left. More
wasted my time Never thought it would be so difficult to bring my business to a dealership. I had an amazing experience with David McDavid 5 years ago so I wanted to go thru the dealership again. They currently do not have a vehicle I’m interested in but I have been in contact with their internet sales rep. He scheduled an appointment with his ‘manager’ to review options because they work with 80 dealerships. When I arrived I went to the front desk and advised the girl I had an appointment. She asked if I knew who it was with, stated no. Instead of checking the schedule she just pointed me to an available sales rep. He pulled up the same cars from their website, like I didn’t already look at those. Told him I was told we would be going over other options, not just reviewing the ones posted. He said they work with their sister stores but they stay in the Texas region and those were my only options. There was one vehicle I was interested in until my credit union pulled the value. He then tried to say there are other options with finance and they can beat your credit union. That doesn’t matter because the value is the value. He showed me the value they pulled and tried saying my credit union was using trade in value, I saw the valuation myself and I’m not lying about what it came back as. Seemed like they didn’t want my business whatsoever when I have been wanting to work with them. I am in need of a vehicle asap I do not have time to waste my evening with a clueless sales rep that is trying to push me to a new lender and implying my credit union and I are wrong with the value. I agree with another review, David McDavid of Austin was great years ago but this go around has been an awful experience. Seems like I’m trying to sale them my business, not the other way around. Apparently, their service department needs a more efficient system to manage their appointments. The service department has gone downhill over the past few years. They offered me a Lyft but said it couldn't take me home because I lived too far away. Basically I was held hostage by bad customer service. NO MORE ACURAS FOR ME!! More
I got hosed. Buyer Beware! Ownership and management have changed since the good old days with the original David McDavid crew. A few years ago I bought a used MD Buyer Beware! Ownership and management have changed since the good old days with the original David McDavid crew. A few years ago I bought a used MDX and had a flawless experience. This time around, could not have been worse. Worst car and buying experience of my life. I got totally hosed. We bought a used MDX. On the test drive I noticed the car shook when braking, remote didn't unlock, and the paint needed touching up. They agreed to correct it is as long as I paid sticker price and closed on the car first. I got a call about a week later letting me know the car was ready. I come to take delivery and the touch up paint didn't match and the brakes had not been done. I wait a couple more days and the call again to let me know it's ready. This time the brakes were done and the paint looked ok sitting in the dark delivery bay. The remote still didn't work, but the salesman Kelvin said it was just the battery and they didn't have one. I told him I could take care of replacing the battery myself. I get home and replace the battery. It's actually a broken button on the remote. I look at the paint it good lighting and it's still the wrong shade. Lastly, I get the car up around 80 MPH and it starts shaking. I call in and say I want to return the car and get my money back. They invited me to come in and work it out. I get to the dealership and sit down with Oran (used car manager). He starts off by telling me they can't refund me my money because I financed the car. I told him I'll just pay the loan off. He then says he doesn't have authority to take a car back. So we call the general sales manager KJ on the phone. KJ answers the phone call with a F bomb. That should have been a clue right off the bat with the kind of business I was dealing. He proceeds to tell me they won't take the car back, but will take a look at fixing any issues with the car. I explained I had been through several failed attempts and had lost faith in them to get it right. Returning the car was the only way I was going to be happy, and it wouldn't cost them anything to do so. He then offers to give me just trade in value for it....really?! When I refuse that offer he starts getting upset that I'm bothering him at home. I wait a couple weeks to decide what I'm going to do with a car that doesn't feel safe to drive. I decide to take them up on the offer to fix the car. I call and they agree to look at it, but that I'll be responsible for the costs to make it right. After reminding them of what they had agreed to before, they agreed to look at it. Upon inspection and a test drive they told me the tires were subpar/bad. However, they wouldn't do anything to fix them. They also refused to give me a working remote. More

The front receptionist will get you in contact with someone or your designated sales person very quickly. Jeffrey was a pleasure to work with. He helped get us a great deal on a new MDX. He never shot down an offer and instead went to his boss trying to lower the price more. On the finance side, we dealt with Myron. He was so fantastic to work with. Very easy going and also helped us get scratch and dent protection at a reasonable charge. He wasnt pushy trying to upsell us things that we really didnt need or want. Instead, he listened to our concerns and what we could afford and he built packages around that monthly figure. Typically you have to watch out for the finance guy as they try to upsell you a bunch of stuff to make the dealership more money. I cant stress enough how great this finance process was. If you buy are thinking of buying an Acura from David McDavid, then request Jeffrey and Myron. More
