Competent routine service This B16 service (oil & filter change - tire rotation - rear differential fluid change) was in response to the code warning displayed on my 2014 MDX. This B16 service (oil & filter change - tire rotation - rear differential fluid change) was in response to the code warning displayed on my 2014 MDX. During the multi-point inspection it was discovered that a new engine air filter was needed, along with fuel injector cleaning. Since I was not waiting at the dealership, the additional work was notified by convenient text message and was authorized through the text app. Upon my return via dealer-supplied shuttle, my car was ready to go. The total time was approximately 1-1/2 hours. David McDavid Acura Austin has handled all servicing since I relocated to Austin 2 years ago, and has never disappointed. Service Consultant David Chessmore coordinated this latest visit, and I will ask for him in the future. More

White glove service I was experiencing a issue with the front parking sensors. It started approx 6 moths after I purchased; initial dealership in CA would not even look I was experiencing a issue with the front parking sensors. It started approx 6 moths after I purchased; initial dealership in CA would not even look into it as it was occurring intermittently. D McD dealership worked with me on 3 occasions to diagnose. Ultimately, Jason (service manager) needed to work with Acura warranty dept to obtain the approvals needed to replace the sensors themselves. He was patient during my multiple emails and phone calls and showed a genuine desire to resolve the problem fully. Throughout, they provided me with loader cars as i would leave the car for 1-3 nights. Very happy with the handing of the issue. More
Long wait My past 3 experiences have had super long waits. I made an appointment for an oil change the previous day for the following day. Well it does ALMOST 3 hours just to get oil change done. I had to ask about the hold up. Recently my tire had a leak and I did expect to wait since I didn't have an appointment. I bought my tires there so that's why I went to David McDavid for the tire patch. It took 2 hours for them to patch the tire. I asked them specifically NOT to perform the multi-point inspection as I had my oil changed there less than a month ago. But behold they did it anyway. The staff is nice but don't ever expect prompt service there. It is frustrating. I do appreciate how they will drop you off and pick you up. unfortunately they don't offer that on Saturdays More

Waiting for 2 hours for changing oil, feeling discriminated My wife and I bought our Acura MDX at David Mcdavid Acura Of Plano and the sale-man told us that we have a free oil change at their dealership include My wife and I bought our Acura MDX at David Mcdavid Acura Of Plano and the sale-man told us that we have a free oil change at their dealership include the one in Austin because they are the same company. However, Service Consultant here in Austin said he does not have any record that we have a free oil change. I tried to call the sale-man at Plano but could not reach him. We ended up paid $97. Bringing our new car for changing oil the first at 5700 miles, we didn't expect to pay for anything else. However, that is not what brings me to write a bad review. We feel bad at the service we received at David Mcdavid Acura Of Austin. The Service Consultant told us that we have to wait 2 and half hours and that he will arrange a driving us home since our house is less than three miles. But that never happened. More than one hour waiting, we saw our car brought back to the drive way but no one notify us. I saw the Service Consultant came out and talked to one of the new customer in waiting lounge but he seemed to ignore me even though I was standing about seven feet in front of him. I did not even have a chance to talk to him as he finished the conversation and walked quickly away to the service area and never came out to his desk nor the waiting room. Finally, I walked in the greeting area asked one of the Service Consultant and one of them texted him. Five minutes later, he came out, said sorry and that he thought the driver took us home and then offered 10% off from $107 charge. When asked details about the charges, the Service Consultant did not explain what work was performed saying they are in my copies. He get me signed the invoice and credit card charge in a way trying to quickly dismiss us out of the office. We have never had a bad service like that at any dealerships. We feel that we were treated unfairly. We feel that we were discriminated since we are minority. That is the only way we can explain the negative attitude and indifferent treatment of the couple service consultants at David Mcdavid Acura Of Austin. More
