Well it does ALMOST 3 hours just to get oil change done. I had to ask about the hold up. Recently my tire had a leak and I did expect to wait since I didn't have an appointment. I bought my tires there so that's why I went to David McDavid for the tire patch. It took 2 hours for them to patch the tire. I asked them specifically NOT to perform the multi-point inspection as I had my oil changed there less than a month ago. But behold they did it anyway. The staff is nice but don't ever expect prompt service there. It is frustrating. I do appreciate how they will drop you off and pick you up. unfortunately they don't offer that on Saturdays More

Waiting for 2 hours for changing oil, feeling discriminated My wife and I bought our Acura MDX at David Mcdavid Acura Of Plano and the sale-man told us that we have a free oil change at their dealership include My wife and I bought our Acura MDX at David Mcdavid Acura Of Plano and the sale-man told us that we have a free oil change at their dealership include the one in Austin because they are the same company. However, Service Consultant here in Austin said he does not have any record that we have a free oil change. I tried to call the sale-man at Plano but could not reach him. We ended up paid $97. Bringing our new car for changing oil the first at 5700 miles, we didn't expect to pay for anything else. However, that is not what brings me to write a bad review. We feel bad at the service we received at David Mcdavid Acura Of Austin. The Service Consultant told us that we have to wait 2 and half hours and that he will arrange a driving us home since our house is less than three miles. But that never happened. More than one hour waiting, we saw our car brought back to the drive way but no one notify us. I saw the Service Consultant came out and talked to one of the new customer in waiting lounge but he seemed to ignore me even though I was standing about seven feet in front of him. I did not even have a chance to talk to him as he finished the conversation and walked quickly away to the service area and never came out to his desk nor the waiting room. Finally, I walked in the greeting area asked one of the Service Consultant and one of them texted him. Five minutes later, he came out, said sorry and that he thought the driver took us home and then offered 10% off from $107 charge. When asked details about the charges, the Service Consultant did not explain what work was performed saying they are in my copies. He get me signed the invoice and credit card charge in a way trying to quickly dismiss us out of the office. We have never had a bad service like that at any dealerships. We feel that we were treated unfairly. We feel that we were discriminated since we are minority. That is the only way we can explain the negative attitude and indifferent treatment of the couple service consultants at David Mcdavid Acura Of Austin. More
Expensive and always feel let down. There are only 2 Acura dealerships in Austin, so as an owner you get stuck with better of two evils. Acura makes incredibly nice cars but our local dealership is far from that quality of care. First, their staff has an extremely high attrition rate. You’ll rarely talk to the same people twice. Second, because of #1, notes are minimal or nonexistent. If you have a problem with service—MAKE SURE you take care of it ASAP. Otherwise out of sight out of mind. Third, it’s always 75% of the job complete. I had simple door edge film placed on all doors of my 2017 MDX. There were bubbles and after fighting through traffic, paying tolls and standing in their lines—I was too exhausted to deal with onsite. This was a terrible mistake because the rep said “we will handle next time you come.” Consequently, when I returned a new person said “Sorry, no notes on this and this appears to be user error.” Fourth, my last call was about my mirrors that are motorized and come inward for garage parking. The driver side is super super slow. It’s temperamental so at times it goes slightly faster but still lags compared to passenger side. I called and they said to raise issue next oil change. I did, but again....no notes and the rep said his manager checked it out as he had the same exact vehicle. He says “Both go slow, so it’s just how the car works. Since his isn’t a common issue we can’t do much about it.”....WTH?! My response was “if it’s not a common issue, you should be even more attentive to solving the problem.” Now I have a $50,000 car with a bunk mirror. Slightly embarrassing when trying to impress a client. And, it happened 6 months into the vehicle lifecycle! Fifth, I’ve had multiple oil changes in our 9years of service there that leaked afterward because their team forgot to replace seal, broke something or didn’t tighten it altogether. I have the oil stains on my garage to now remind me of their attentive service Overall, every trip to David McDavid is painful. We tried to buy a new car from them and the staff was super shady. Said they’d match any deal and then didn’t. I bought through another dealer 3 hrs away (who delivered the vehicle free!) The workmanship for service is fair at best. Thankfully they use Acura parts.. If I had any other choices I would run far and fast away. More

I had initially emailed John Knorre who was at that time away with a client-and met with Adam. I took a test drive and soon after got the necessary paperwork and picked up the SUV the next day. Process was pretty straightforward and both John and Adam Binford were very helpful and attentive. More

Always a complimentary thorough maintenance check every time I've brought car in for service. That is very much appreciated! Jason certainly has his service team well trained personably and mechanically. Definitely a good feeling to be confident that great & thorough service is being performed! More

Great buying experience I purchased a new 2018 RDX two weeks ago. Traded in my old car. The entire process was fairly quick and painless. The dealership met the Carmax offer on my car which significantly reduced the overall price due to the sales tax reduction. And they came down quite a bit on the sticker price. I came away feeling that I got a good deal and was fairly treated. More
