My 1st Acura was purchased elsewhere and I wasn't happy with that dealership so I took my business to David McDavid. This is my 2nd Acura from David McDavid and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. More

However, I'm unhappy with what happened after the purchase. I had test driven the truck that evening and thought I had looked at the truck as best I could. I realize that this is not a certified used car, but I was assured by Dorian that everything was in working order and checked out by their mechanic. I also had asked if there is any warranty and Dorian said no but he verbally said that if something goes wrong in the first 30 days the dealership would access the problem. He said the dealership didn't want a bad reputation by selling a defective car. Upon driving home that evening, I noticed the tire pressure indicator light was on. Checking the pressure the following morning when the tires were cold, I doscovered all four tires were overinflated by 10 lbs. according to the manufactuer's door label. I took the truck back to the dealearship and asked Dorian about the problem. He said Adam in used cars was not there and to come back the next day. I came back the next day and this time the used car technician was not there. So I was asked to come back again. This time the technician did look at the car and according to Adam it was either a low battery or a bad tire sensor, and I WOULD HAVE TO TAKE IT TO A TOYOTA DEALERSHIP! THREE times to the dealership only to but told they weren't going to fix it anyway. For the reasons I have stated I would not recommend David McDavid Acura to anyone based on their buisness practices. Dr. Michael McCarty More

Service has deteriorated I've taken my Acura's to McDavid for many years. The past couple years the service has definelty gotten worse. The entire Service department staff h I've taken my Acura's to McDavid for many years. The past couple years the service has definelty gotten worse. The entire Service department staff has changed, the wait times have greatly increased, and the feeling that you're at a higher-end car dealership no longer exists. Having an appointment no longer seems to make any difference. I've had to wait a minimum of two hours before my car is even looked at the past couple times I've taken it in, even for just minor service like oil changes. And no one keeps you informed of the status of your service or how much longer you'll have to wait. Eventually you'll get a text message telling what the technician found, asking for your approval to do the work (rather than a service manager coming to the waiting area and explaining to you what was found and what your options are, like they always use to do). I will not return to this dealership for service again. More

Competent routine service This B16 service (oil & filter change - tire rotation - rear differential fluid change) was in response to the code warning displayed on my 2014 MDX. This B16 service (oil & filter change - tire rotation - rear differential fluid change) was in response to the code warning displayed on my 2014 MDX. During the multi-point inspection it was discovered that a new engine air filter was needed, along with fuel injector cleaning. Since I was not waiting at the dealership, the additional work was notified by convenient text message and was authorized through the text app. Upon my return via dealer-supplied shuttle, my car was ready to go. The total time was approximately 1-1/2 hours. David McDavid Acura Austin has handled all servicing since I relocated to Austin 2 years ago, and has never disappointed. Service Consultant David Chessmore coordinated this latest visit, and I will ask for him in the future. More

White glove service I was experiencing a issue with the front parking sensors. It started approx 6 moths after I purchased; initial dealership in CA would not even look I was experiencing a issue with the front parking sensors. It started approx 6 moths after I purchased; initial dealership in CA would not even look into it as it was occurring intermittently. D McD dealership worked with me on 3 occasions to diagnose. Ultimately, Jason (service manager) needed to work with Acura warranty dept to obtain the approvals needed to replace the sensors themselves. He was patient during my multiple emails and phone calls and showed a genuine desire to resolve the problem fully. Throughout, they provided me with loader cars as i would leave the car for 1-3 nights. Very happy with the handing of the issue. More
