Poor Service for Fender Bender Repair I recently chose to bring in my Jeep Grand Cherokee for a fender bender repair rather than use the insurance body shop. HUGE mistake. Like many dealer I recently chose to bring in my Jeep Grand Cherokee for a fender bender repair rather than use the insurance body shop. HUGE mistake. Like many dealerships, they longer have an in-house body shop but work with 2 outside shops. The adjuster came on Tuesday and by Friday I had to call to request an estimated repair completion date as no one had an slightest inkling of customer service so as to call me first. I was told that the bumper would be in on the following Wednesday and the vehicle probably done by the end of the week. I was given the totally unverifiable excuse of "part not available". If Jeep has no bumpers for aftermarket for their flagship vehicle, then they have a serious problem. I feel that there is no control over the body shop that works for several dealerships, and that this is a totally canned response because they are overbooked, or my $2,5000.00 repair is too small to have priority. David Dodge is certainly not defending their customer's interests, nor theirs, as my business is GONE. More
