HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY I live 5 minutes from another Jeep dealer and it takes me almost an hour to get to David Dodge ...... that should tell you everything you need to kno I live 5 minutes from another Jeep dealer and it takes me almost an hour to get to David Dodge ...... that should tell you everything you need to know. However, I will elaborate a little. First of all it doesn't matter if there is rain or snow, you don't have to get out of the Jeep till you drive it right into their service department. Y ou are then greeted by one man who takes your name and your Jeep and points out the next service assistant who gets all the info, explains everything and actually walks you over & hold the door for you to go into the waiting area (by the way, my service assistant was Dana ....very nice!) the service area is comfortable, clean and has 3 TV's, an area to plug in your lap top, complimentary coffee, bottled water and snacks. In about a half hour, Dana came out to explain that I needed an air filter and told me the cost and actually asked if they should go ahead with it.......it wasn't even expensive but I was glad she asked. And within another half hour she was back to get me an take me to the cashier. Dana explained everything on the bill ..... I didn't even have to ask. Needless to say, it was a good experience from beginning to end. More

Great salesman, terrible finance manager I recently leased a Jeep Cherokee from David Auto. I was dealing with Steve Ellis, who was great. He couldn't have been nicer and was extremely help I recently leased a Jeep Cherokee from David Auto. I was dealing with Steve Ellis, who was great. He couldn't have been nicer and was extremely helpful. When I eventually started talking about leasing the vehicle, Emilio Krumholz came over to speak with me. I used to work in auto retail advertising and I know that there is a push to make numbers, but he was immediately distrustful of whether I would come back and kept insisting I take the car for an overnight drive. I did so and after coming back again to return the vehicle, indicated that I wanted to wait two days to come back with the intention of leasing it. Emilio became incredibly pushy, telling me for the second time that he didn't believe I would come back to lease the car, and insisting I take it overnight again. I had come in after work and worked late that day, so I didn't get to the dealership until after 8pm. I wanted to go home and have dinner after a long day, but he just didn't care. He started to raise his voice at me after I tried repeatedly to leave without incident and was extremely aggressive, saying we had to do the deal for the lease right then and it wouldn't take more than 45 minutes. After about 10 minutes I'd had it and I left. I was incredibly upset that I had been treated so poorly, berated at the dealership, and that he had pushed me to the point of being shaken at the way he had spoken to me as a customer who intended to do business with David Auto. I called Steve the next day and told him I would not be coming in to finish the deal because of how I had been treated. Again, Steve was wonderful. He didn't push me and continued to be helpful, leaving the door open to come back. I didn't look at cars for a week and eventually contacted Steve again to come in as long as I did not deal with Emilio. I ended up working with Jason Finley, who was also nice and helpful. Of course actually finalizing everything with the lease took over 2.5 hours, nowhere near the 45 minutes Emilio had promised me, but I knew that wouldn't happen. After having a terrible experience with Emilio, I am still giving the dealership 4 out of 5 stars because of how great Steve was. If it hadn't been for him, I would not have come back. More
Vehicle trade in and lack of transparency Buying a car stinks, everyone knows that. Dealers know that more than anybody and use that to their advantage. My experience with David dodge was a Buying a car stinks, everyone knows that. Dealers know that more than anybody and use that to their advantage. My experience with David dodge was a perfect example. Here's how it works: 1) get a bogus trade in value for your car. Mine, according to the kelly blue book should've been $7400 at worst. With new tires and an aftermarket uconnect Bluetooth device I expected a bit more. 2) to avoid a credit check hit, use an outrageous and completely unrealistic interest rate. They used 9.5%, the current rate was 4.5% 3) pick a duration and show the customer the outrageous monthly payment. I was looking for $299, they showed me $450. 4) bring in the "numbers guy", a man named Dan who professed a deeply religious background (more people trust religious people than not), even blessing my broken finger with a laying on of hands and a quick prayer. As an atheist, this was rather offensive. Regardless, Dan repeatedly asked for me to raise my monthly payment requirement. All sorts of reasons but $299 wasn't going to work. He'd have to max out the trade in value on my car and maybe get me to $375. I should've walked then, but didn't. See, they've already had you test drive the vehicle and made you wait an hour, so you feel invested in the process and not willing to leave. You want to see it through. 5) I check my budget, and realizing I could probably cut $25 a month I could go to $325. Dan's eyes lit up. The bait has been taken. He went behind closed doors and forty minutes later came out with a number: $337. Just enough for me to feel close (he even offered to pay me my $12 a month if I stop in, as if money were no object). The original salesman begins filling out the paperwork, immediately. No time for me to think it over, just quick handshakes and to the back we go to fill out the paperwork. I should've walked then too. 6) fine. I've been there too long, the car is what I want, I go to sign papers. I find out the amount Dan gave me for my vehicle was 5000, $2500 less than the jelly blue book, and the rate was 3.1%, less than the average rate. Just to get me to $337. 7). Bottom line, if he had given me even the worst blue book value for my car, with that percentage rate for 72 months, my payments wouldve been $305, a mere six bucks more than I was paying and right in line with where I wanted to be and still leaving an extra $2500 on the old car loan that would be incorporated in the total. So in summation, if you want a textbook clinic on how a car dealership goes through every machination of ripping you off for their own benefit, go to David dodge. Follow the numbers closely, ignore the monthly payment and stick to your guns. Walk away if you have to. Or better yet, don't even try it. I went to Scott Honda and they tried to pull that but saved me two hours and allowed me to walk away by telling me they couldn't meet my needs. That's customer service. David dodge is robbery. I'm going to be posting this everywhere I can as well so that people learn from my mistakes. More
