This is the first time I have ever taken the time to write a review about a car buying experience, but I was so inspired by the “Royal” treatment I received at the dealership that I felt that other people needed to hear. This was, by far, the most “painless” new car purchase I have ever made. I would like to take a moment to mention how much I enjoyed working with Paul Hartge and his handling of every aspect of the purchase. Paul is a seasoned professional who knows the product line well but more than that, he adds a personal touch that made me glad I chose Dave Mungenast St. Louis Honda. Paul made the whole process an enjoyable experience from start to finish. No hassles, just answers. I look forward to working with Paul when I buy my next Honda from Dave Mungenast. More
I had a 50,000 mile maintanence done (the check engine light pops on for this), for my 2005 CRV. This includes an oil change and tire rotation. The Mungenast service team failed to rotate my tires. I marked my tires with chalk and wrote down distinguishing marks of each of my tires and where they were positioned. If they fail to do something as simple as rotate tires I would be very leary of other work. I don't even trust that they changed my oil. More

I have a whole house full of Hondas that only get serviced at Dave Mungenast St. Louis Honda. The service and parts departments have always been very kind and humble to me. I have never been to pla serviced at Dave Mungenast St. Louis Honda. The service and parts departments have always been very kind and humble to me. I have never been to place where every single person is friendly and full of joy. It's almost as if the employees are at home and not at their jobs. Overall Dave Mungenast St. Louis Honda has been the best dealership that I have ever been to. My 2005 Accords a/c stopped working on the hottest day so far in St Louis so I took it to the service dept at Dave Mungenast St Louis Honda for estimate/repair. They found that a "rare occurrence" of a beari far in St Louis so I took it to the service dept at Dave Mungenast St Louis Honda for estimate/repair. They found that a "rare occurrence" of a bearing coming loose inside the compressor, destroying it and sending metal shards throughout the entire system, required the entire system be replaced @ $3,255.00. The KBB value was only listed at $6,200 so I decided not to fix it. I immediately called Gary Jones to locate me another Accord with same features as my existing vehicle. He returned my call that same day but learned that the vehicle found was a demonstrator with 5,xxx miles so he expanded the search to 7 surrounding states. A dealer trade was completed & my new 2010 Accord was picked up and delivered to me on Saturday. Of course I would recommend this dealership to everyone, as this was my second experience, and I did refer a customer to them in June. Gary Jones and Ivo Saric are outstanding associates that provided proactive, friendly, knowledgeable and excellent customer service. They are great ambassadors of the Dave Mungenast and Honda’s values. More
I took my automobile on the hottest day of the year (so far) to St Louis Honda's service department because my a/c stopped working. I called Gary immediately, asked him to find another with everything that was on my 2005 Accord (bought my first from Gary in May 2005) the same Red, brand new. The first found was everything except new (demo w/5,xxx miles) so he widened his search to 7 states and located one! A dealer terade was processed & someone went to pickup my new car Saturday morning. Gary called me at 10am to let me know it would be in that day (it was still very hot). He thwn called me at 1:00 to advise it should be available by 2:15. The vehicle was everything I wanted (except for my '05 a/c to have not broken) plus there was several item that I didn't really want so I didn't pay extra for them. We now have 2 brand new Honda's (a 2010 Ridgeline & my Accord) along with my 2005 bought from Gary. He is very good, knowledgable and professional and a great steward of the high values and customer service Honda wishes to project. Gary, as well as Ivo Saric (financing), both have my high regards and respect. More
We came to St. Louis Honda after looking for dealers in the Yellow Pages. We did not know anything about ANY St. Louis dealers at that time. We then met Dave Gierse. They really knew their products were extremely professional as well as courteous. In my over 60 years, these were exceptional people in the car business! More

I would like to personally thank Shan Herwig and St. Louis Honda for the kindness and thoughtfulness that was extended to my family when our car recently broke down. Even though it was after hours on a Saturday evening, Shan, with the support of her manager, drove us across town in order for us to rent a car and pick up our daughter at the airport. We were traveling from Arkansas so Shan's helpfulness was not done in hopes of us returning and buying a car. It was an act of genuine intergity. St. Louis Honda continues to go above and beyond what I would expect from a dealership on the service side. We have to drive about 20 minutes to get there, but it's worth the extra time. Not only are the customer service people friendly, considerate and up front, but each time we go back, they've made some kind of improvement. The most recent time, to my GREAT surprise, they have remodeled the waiting room (again) and have added a room just for kids! It has a flat panel TV that was tuned to a kids TV station, two comfortable tables and benches, and a ton of toys, coloring books and markers and crayons. My 5 and 2 year old were so excited. I was dreading that particular wait, because it was raining outside and most times I take the kids out in the lot while we're waiting. The time went so fast my kids were sad to have to go. St. Louis Honda exceeds all my expectations and each time I buy a car, I will buy it there. More
