Service Department Been a customer for some time. Bought two new cars and have two cars serviced at Mungenast. However, as it is impossible to have simple routine mainte Been a customer for some time. Bought two new cars and have two cars serviced at Mungenast. However, as it is impossible to have simple routine maintenance done on a timely basis. Called for basic oil change & tire rotation, and first available appointment was in 10 days. Although the dealership has "Express Service" lanes, it is not available at Mungenast. Dealership was under construction for an overdue remodel for more than a year. That was the reason given during that time for untimely service. Now it is the airbag recall. Frankly, a dealer that allows its customer service to deteriorate because of an issue like this means that the customer is NOT #1. I am currently sitting in the waiting room of another Honda dealer while having my oil change and tire rotation done via their Express Service. Mungenast has lost me as a customer. In addition to a vehicle purchase last December, I have spent in excess of $4,000 in service and parts. Somehow, I think that, if Dave were still alive, he would be concerned about customer retention, as St Louis Honda became the region's biggest dealer while he was at the helm. More

Joe in the Service department was very courteous explaining the work that they felt was going to be necessary on my sons dirt bike. They didn't mislead me or add-on for unnecessary repairs. I had some frustration waiting on some of the parts, but they told me there might be some delays if certain parts were needed. One of the Service Mechanics even showed me the pieces that had to be replaced, so I was comfortable they didn't try to oversell me on repairs. Jim sold me a used motorcycle and was very helpful in explaining all he knew about the condition of the bike. He even tracked down the owners manual from the original owner. His knowledge of Motorcycles was very impressive and he knew the right answers to all the questions I had about the bike. More
Amazing customer service! Kurt went above and beyond to help me with my 2015 CR-V! I needed to obtain my lease agreement to renew my tags, and he retrieved it within minutes! Kurt went above and beyond to help me with my 2015 CR-V! I needed to obtain my lease agreement to renew my tags, and he retrieved it within minutes! Kurt exemplifies the standards the for which the Mungenast name is known. Kurt even followed up to make certain no issues occurred with the DMV. Needless to say, he is now my new sales person! More
Horrible experience I brought the car in shortly after buying it because I had it at a tire place who said the tires were wearing wrong because it needed an alignment. T I brought the car in shortly after buying it because I had it at a tire place who said the tires were wearing wrong because it needed an alignment. They didn't do the alignment at this time only changed 2 tires. A few months later I now have bald tires that have an irregular wear pattern because it has been out of alignment all this time. They were willing to fix the alignment finally but not the tires that are bald. Had they fixed it right the first time it wouldn't be like it is! More

I've recently moved to California & I'm struggling to find a Honda dealership that I like even 1/2 as much. Chris Taylor was my service advisor all of those years & my service couldn't have been better. He was honest, knowledgable, always pleasant & really great to work with. I even had engine trouble one time while traveling out of the state & while I was on the side of the highway Chris helped me try to diagnose the problem & find the closest dealership. I wish every dealership had employees like Chris! More
'Angela' never has answered or called I like Honda and their actual service, but, dealing with Angela has not been so easy. My question Angela, "why call me and leave a message if you have no iintention of answering or returning my call when I call you back?". Amazing customer service I was traveling thru St. Louis from Texas to Ohio on 8/13 and made an unscheduled stop at the dealership due to an oil leak. I can’t say enough good I was traveling thru St. Louis from Texas to Ohio on 8/13 and made an unscheduled stop at the dealership due to an oil leak. I can’t say enough good things about my experience. The service advisor (Steve Tiepelman) was great. With all of the technicians busy he personally took my car in to take a look. Long story short, they replace a damaged oil filter (damaged by dealership in Texas during oil change previous week), filled up the oil and even power washed the underside of the car. Steve explained what the issue was and even bagged the filter for me to take back home to show the service manager at the dealership that did the prior work. I was in and out of the dealership in less than one hour and was surprised when Steve told me there would be no charge. Thanks for the outstanding service!!! More
Great Service! I recently brought my vehicle in after it coughed and sputtered when I tried to start it in the morning. I wasn't sure what was happening, but I can' I recently brought my vehicle in after it coughed and sputtered when I tried to start it in the morning. I wasn't sure what was happening, but I can't be without my vehicle! I have foster children, and spend a good portion of my day in my vehicle. Dan did a preliminary check, and made sure my battery was good, then tested the starter. He visually inspected the connections. All seemed fine, and the vehicle started up without any problems several times. Dan walked me through the possibilities - and gave me a good list of problems/indications that suggest I needed additional service. However, since the car was working fine, and I've had routine maintenance done on it at Honda, Dan suggested that I wait on any additional service. My car has been working fine ever since, and Dan saved me a lot of money. I always bring my car to Honda because of Service Personnel like Dan - people who take the time to understand my concerns and check my car out rather than just taking it in back and charging me a lot of money. Gary treated me with respect I wanted all to know about the courteous, friendly and knowledgeable advise I received from Service Advisor Gary Opitz. Gary treated me with respect and excellent product knowledge. I spoke to Gary last March, during routine maintenance and liked him so much I asked for him for my last service, just last week. He is helpful and treats customers like they deserve to be treated. I will be asking for Gary for all my future needs. Service is a great way to keep a customer. Honda's are a great product but with advisor's like Gary, it's a good way to ensure customers stay in a Honda and it means a lot. Thanks Gary. More
Trust is a Must RE: Service: 5/22/2014 I am a single woman and over the years I have felt at times a little intimidated by car repairs. Sometimes I felt like "they c RE: Service: 5/22/2014 I am a single woman and over the years I have felt at times a little intimidated by car repairs. Sometimes I felt like "they could see me comin' ", and possibly not be so honest. However, I don't feel that way at Mungenast Honda. Gave me great service during an emergency (lost most of braking ability) and determined no additional work necessary after car cooled down. I was only charged for labor for inspection (removing rear drums and finding all pads, drums, cables and fluid were good). Service Advisor Chris Taylor was extremely patient and polite when reviewing potential damage and cost prior to inspection of the car. And the Mechanic Tracy (Tech) was thorough and checked everything. They didn't charge me for anything I did not need. What Happened: I unknowingly drove with my emergency brake partially on, and suddenly, about 3 blocks from my home, lost about 90 percent of my braking ability. Managed to park at home safely and immediately called Service Advisor Chris Taylor at Mungenast Honda. I was upset and wanted to bring in the car the next day but didn't know what time as towing company only does two hour windows. Chris told me to bring in my car any time the next day. Before I hung up, we discussed potential damage and cost regarding brake pads, rear drums etc. When I arrived the next day with the tow, Chris and I again discussed potential damage and cost, and said within the hour would have determination of needed repairs. Well, within the hour, they had determined no repairs were necessary. Driving with the emergency brake on had heated the pads and made them too soft. But no permanent damage! I have been going to Mungenast St. Louis Honda for several years now and they have my trust. More
