Mr. Rick Brennan and St. Louis Honda's used car lot were great to do business with. They were friendly, prompt, and professional. I was some distance away and unlike some other dealers Rick gladly worked w great to do business with. They were friendly, prompt, and professional. The price of the particular car purchased was great and they were straight to the point without lots of back and forth haggling. I received an email from Rick Murphy at St. Louis Honda stating that my 2008 Pilot was holding great value! I had earlier talked to Rick during a routine service visit about the possibility of getting out stating that my 2008 Pilot was holding great value! I had earlier talked to Rick during a routine service visit about the possibility of getting out of my current lease (due to expire in April 2011) and into a new lease because I would be over on allotted miles if I kept the car thru the end of the lease. His response: "No problem - we'll make it work for you." I made an appointment to meet with Rick following his email and he got right to work having their crew examine my car and get the payoff value from American Honda. While that was going on, he found a 2011 Pilot in the configuration and color I wanted on their lot and we took it for a test spin. The car drives phenomenally and is much quieter than the 2008 version. Lots of new bells and whistles, too! When we returned to the dealership, Rick met quickly with their finance manager and came back to me with a great offer -- get out of my current lease immediately, forgive the last 5 payments and any dents/dings on the 2008, start a new lease at the exact same payment (actually $.02 higher/month) and drive a new car off the lot that day...a deal I could not pass up! I filled out the necessary paperwork and waited to meet with the finance manager. The only downside to the entire process was that the dealer only had one finance manager working and two other salesmen were working deals at the exact same time and got their customers' paperwork turned in (literally) one and two minutes ahead of me, so I had to wait until they were finished to sign my paperwork. I only state this in the review because a successful dealership like St. Louis Honda should be able to handle more than one transaction at a time or at least have a back-up person whose primary job might be something else, but who could fill in to avoid having a customer wait 90 minutes to start the process. I live with a lot of patience in my life, so it really wasn't that big of a deal, but since this is a review to help improve their service, I felt it worth noting. Loving my new car and will remain a loyal St. Louis Honda customer for life. This is the 5th Honda I have leased from this dealership since 1995. More

Had an excellent experience with St Louis Honda. Started with online shopping contact. Randy Called me about the interest in the web hit, but was not pushy. They only called back after I asked them to, and all the information and numbers and fees were explained up front, I shopped 8 Honda dealers and chose Mungenast because they just seemed more honest and trustworthy than the others, plus by the time I was ready to buy, they offered the best price. Best of all, Randy was very personable when we finally met, and there were no suprises when I drove 100 miles to pick up the car. I have returned to the dealer to have a few accessories installed (after 1 week) and the whole experience buying plus returning for my first service visit, this was the best car buying experience I have had. (I have bought 12 new vehicles from 8 different dealers. Bill, Age 44 from central Illinois) I would definitly recommend this dealership to anyone wanting to purchase a new car. More
The Sales Representative and finance managerinitially told me that my car was included in a tax incentive program and I could expect to get about $1,200 back in taxes. This turned out to be false The program expired over 12 months prior to my purchase. Then on several subsequent maintenance visits I was promised services that were not delivered. Including having warrantied tires replaced at 18,000 miles (under warranty) that were never covered and an oil change that wasn't. The tires were replaced on a Saturday so the warranty shop was closed. The repair tech promised to take care of it on Monday. On 3 consecutive visits over as many months I was promissed they were taking care of it. I never recieved so much as a letter. Then I had a big road trip to take and had an oil change in advance. About 200 miles in to the trip, my oil light comes on. I called the the dealership and they said, "oh...sorry, maybe we just did not reset the sensor. If you pull over I can wal you through how to rest it yourself". I mean really? More

I test drove the Honda Fit on Wednesday and returned to buy it on Friday. On Wednesday I was immediately greeted by Greg Raup a very nice and genuine salesperson. I was able to test drive the vehicle without any pressure to buy. When I came back on Friday I was treated to a great sales experience where, again, no pressure to purchase anything extra (i.e.: floor mats, paint protection, extra warranties). Greg discussed the extras with me and explained why he thought they were a good idea, but in the end I was left to make my own decisions without feeling like I HAD to buy anything. Ivo was the business manager who helped with financing. Again, a wonderful experience. He made me feel comfortable with making such an expensive purchase, and did not force any extra warranty options down my throat. Again, he explained each option's merits and let me decide. I felt I received a fair deal and I absolutely love my new car. In all, I had a great experience, and I am telling everyone to go buy a car from Greg at Dave Mungenast! You will not be disappointed!
