I first started looking at Dave Gill Chevrolet after my wife had a very positive experience with their Service department. We were so impressed with their friendly, courteous service personnel and clean service area, that when it came time to look for a new vehicle, we considered Dave Gill Chevrolet over some of the other dealers in the area. It turns out that the Sales area of the dealership is just as impressive as their Service area. We were treated with courtesy and respect when dealing with Sales Representative Joe Plantz. He was friendly and patient throughout the entire process of working out the best possible deal I felt I could get. He was very knowledgable about the vehicle and very helpful about providing any information requested. In the end, we finally came to an agreement, and I feel that I received a good deal and was treated fairly (which is not always a given when it comes to car buying). Unfortunately, past experiences with "typical" car salesmen have often left me skeptical, but I was pleasantly surprised at how positive my buying experience was thanks to Joe's professionalism and personality. After the handshake, the Finance Manager, Michael Dixon, continued to impress me with his genuine desire to make my purchase the best it could be even though technically, the deal had already been made. For me, he added the additional proof of authenticity that not just Joe, but Dave Gill Chevrolet as a whole, cared about the customer's car buying experience. More
I had been looking into purchasing a new Camaro from the time Chevy announced the new design. I was looking for a specific look (Yellow with Black Stripes and a Manual Transmission). I saw the car that I purchased on the lot and went to the Dave Gill web site to see its features and the asking price. I contacted Joe via e-mail and had numerous inquiries about the car. Joe was very patient and answered all my questions. I then completed the financing (online) and arranged to pick up the car. Joe had made sure the car was ready to go and went through all of its features even though it was 8:00 pm. Their finance department is very friendly and did not use any pressure tactics to sell me services I did not want. The process went very quickly. I had one occasion to use the warranty service to have an air bag issue resolved. I was shuttled to work the day I dropped it off and since the issue was more complex than originally thought I was offered a loaned car until mine was repaired. The service manager treated me very well and not just another customer with petty issues. I will use them again should I decide to either trade this one in or purchase a new car for the family. More

I found the dealership very clean, everyone was friendly and helpful, a conveniant location. Joe went through in detail the functions of the vehicle and was confident that I was familar with all functions before he allowed me to drive the vehicle into rush hour Columbus, Ohio traffic. As someone who had always owned Saturns, I was used to a level of customer service that isn't common in the industry. But with Saturn gone, I had to look to a different company for my new car. A friend had been happy with service at Dave Gill, so I gave them a try. At the time of sale, I was impressed with their service...at first. I arrived at closing time one evening, and Chip stayed late to let me test drive a vehicle and then talk about available options. Loree did a great job getting me through all the paperwork, giving a rundown of all the car's feature, and making sure I was satisfied with everything before I left the dealership. And when I came back later to drop off the extra key for my trade-in, I was in the parking lot searching the owner's manual for directions for one of the car's feature, and the manager spotted me in the lot and came out to give me a hand. Soon afterward, I had a voicemail waiting in my inbox from the dealership asking me to give a call to let them know how things are going with the car. So far, so good, or so it seemed. You see, when I when I purchased the vehicle, I paid for some extra accessories that were not immediately available, and I also paid to have heated seats installed. When I returned to the dealership for the accessories, they didn't fit correctly, but I was fine with that--they said they would reorder the correct accessories and contact me when they arrived (as well as when the heated seats could be installed). What I wasn't fine with was that I never heard back from them again about the reordered accessories and heated seats (which I had prepaid)--apparently, the ball had been dropped when a staff member left the dealership. It seems that if I hadn't contacted them about it, they never would have contacted me. Based on my friend's recommendation, I chose to buy from Dave Gill because I intended to do all my followup servicing with Dave Gill. And given what had happened with the lack of followup concerning these prepaid items, I was skeptical about continuing to work with this dealership. However, once the dealership was aware of the situation, they made every effort to make things right. I think that the problem with the prepaid items was a singular blip that happened during a staff transition and not characteristic of the dealership's typical level of service. They genuinely wanted to correct the situation as quickly and conveniently for me as possible. More

Instead, she was witty and personable in what I would have seen as a frustrating situation had I been sitting in her chair.
