I would NEVER do business with this company again, even though I am currently shopping the Buick lineup lineup (they ARE well engineered vehicles and I have had mine over 35 years) if I can get a good trad though I am currently shopping the Buick lineup lineup (they ARE well engineered vehicles and I have had mine over 35 years) if I can get a good trade-in value. They do NOT put their service where their mouth is, and David Raming is the worst "plastic" scheister of them all, and that's why he is running things for the misinformed owner(s) (to hush / shut down any ideas of a lawsuit). He will twist your repair work legitimate complaints to suit his legal protection and outright lie about the condition of your vehicle (a classic rare Buick in my case) to the Attorney General himself if he can stop him from inquiring further. I should have known not to talk to him with his sales training tactics and weaseling. But he is as high as you can go in that company, the owner just hands the certified letter over to him to "handle". Can't believe they have no experience working on older models, but really can't believe they would try to snowball me for 2 weeks waiting for the repairs to be done, charging me over $2000 for NOT doing the repairs or even diagnosing the repairs even close to the actual issue (when the lower engine sound re-occurred after I conveniently got over an hour's drive away from them after they had closed and would not wait nor encourage me to do a test drive when I was there picking up the car and asked them if I could test drive it, I then headed over to the next nearest Buick dealer with this car and it was diagnosed within 15min (counting the 10min wait) simply by putting the vehicle on the rack, taking the belt off, and running it to easily "put an ear to it" to follow Zack's only comment to me what they would be doing for 2 weeks while I waited patiently (service manager at Dave Cross Motors) "technical" term) and immediately confirmed with me, the customer (Dave Cross Motors will not listen to the customer Dave Raming assured me in a recorded audio I have with him after I returned home, having to leave my car behind in another state because I was warned that it would not make it home and so I could not risk getting my family stuck in the mountains somewhere or worse if the engine seized up on the icy mountain roads and we went off the road to our deaths, even though Dave Cross Motors Zack had assured me it would get me home and "you can even do a little turbo if you need to"), that the issue was indeed a lower bearing noise and likely was the lower main bearing that went out (turns out he was right as was confirmed by this other Buick Dealer and 3 other sources later on) and I would have ruined the engine if I continued to UNSAFELY drive it and shred the bearing more. As it turns out I had to get the engine rebuilt and all the bearing shavings cleaned out of the intercooler, turbo, radiator, and engine at the least. I think you can see, Dave Cross Motors just didn't want to listen to me describing where the sound was coming from the day I came into the shop. I might also add that this other Buick dealer (Marmie's Chevrolet-Buick-GMC in Great Bend, KS) was a phenomenal IMMEDIATE help to us: they gave us a Buick to drive to a hotel they put us in, free of charge, then drove us north an hour the next day to the nearest car rental place so we could safely travel over the mountains to our home. I sent them a big thank you card for their service. I left out the fact that I was looking at a replacement new Buick (even though these new cars are mostly plastic nowadays and underpowered) at Dave Cross where they only offered me $1,500 for my $40,000 classic Buick, and David Raming lied again in our recorded conversation that there were several service technicians interested in buying it for around $15,000 and he would talk to them about it and follow up with me. HA!!! LOL. Dave Cross Motors was totally clueless on proper repair diagnosis and customer safety by comparison. Dave Cross Motors in Lees Summit Missouri CUSTOMERS BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE! More

Unfortunately you have to give at least one star to write a review. My experience equal zero stars for the predatory repeated practices by this service department. My experience with this dealership service a review. My experience equal zero stars for the predatory repeated practices by this service department. My experience with this dealership service department has been beyond the worse. Reading the other reviews confirmed my thoughts that they have inexperienced technicians, do not care about the customers and intentionally prey on inexperienced customers. I too brought my vehicle here seeking guidance due to complications with my vehicle. I also was misdiagnose after originally requesting a diagnosis check to determine the cause of the issues I was experiencing. I spent $2500 only to pick the vehicle up and experience worse problems than before including a check engine light. To then return the vehicle get another diagnosis that was not apart of the original diagnosis. Then to have my vehicle sit on their lot for two months. Meanwhile I believed repairs were underway to later learn no repairs had been completed or even started. Although the last conversation with the service department was authorizing completion of the work because I need my vehicle. Then to get a call a week later the day before pick up $480 more repair work needed to be completed. I agree to that work and then the day of pick up the following week again another call now an additional $1900 - $2500 more repairs need to be completed. Based on other reviews I’m not alone in this. It appears to me this is the common practice for this service department. They misdiagnosed your vehicle repairs causing further damage and or worsen the problem then charge you to fix it with no compensation for their negligence or lack of knowledge. I have also experienced horrific customer service from Dave Cross and Kerri who are the leadership of this service department. This is disgusting that a business would continue to operate with these unfair practices and treatment of their customers for years without any recourse. There has to be laws again predatory auto service departments like Dave Cross Motors. More

Do not trust this dealership. Was in the middle of negotiating a new GMC over the phone when the dealer went silent for an hour. I assumed they were trying to hammer out the small details...nope. I don’t even know where to begin. We had such an awful experience with this dealership that I felt inclined to share my experience with others, to hopefully keep anyone else from having this done to them experience with this dealership that I felt inclined to share my experience with others, to hopefully keep anyone else from having this done to them too. My husband’s GMC Yukon started making an awful sound and he immediately drove it to Dave Cross. He has a personal relationship with one of the salesmen and thought that taking it to a dealership would prove to be worth the added “dealer mark-up.” Well, we left it on a Friday afternoon and were told it would be Monday before they could look at it. The following week came and he received diagnosis #1, TRANSFER CASE. We approved for the work to be completed and another week later went to pick up the vehicle. Yes, it took this dealership 2 weeks to diagnosis and replace one part. We got to the dealership and didn’t even get out of the parking lot before he took it right back into the service department. The vehicle was worse than when we dropped it off. They obviously didn’t drive it before calling to say the work was complete and obviously misdiagnosed the problem. Another week goes by and we received diagnosis #2, FRONT DIFFERENTIAL. We approved for the work to be completed and 1 week later went to pick up the vehicle. We are now at one month without his vehicle. We got to the dealership and the vehicle was worse than when we tried to pick it up after the transfer case had been replace. Again, they obviously misdiagnosed the problem. Mind you, we have now spent $4,500 on repairs that didn’t fix the problem and actually made matters worse. We are pretty upset at this point and make MULTIPLE phone calls to the service advisor, service manager and escalated the situation to the director of operations. No one wanted to take any responsibility for their misdiagnosis and no resolutions to make things right were offered. They then tell us that since those two repairs didn’t fix the problem, they can rule those out as the issue and they “think” the noise/"dragging" is coming from the transmission. Oh, and that’s another $5,000 to replace! So, $9,500 total they want us to pay. We tell them that since we’ve already paid $4,500 for unnecessary repairs, and we have little faith in their service team’s ability to properly diagnosis the issue, we will pay $500 for them to replace the transmission (that would bring us to paying $5,000 total which is what they quoted for the transmission). They will not budge on pricing, keep making excuses for their techs and saying that the parts they replaced did in fact need to be replaced because all 3 parts went out and failed AT THE SAME TIME! The likelihood of that happening is literally impossible. We were backed into the worst position possible and had no other option than to walk away from the vehicle and start over with buying him another vehicle, which we didn’t have a down payment for since we’d spent $4,500 in the past month. I specifically asked if they were going to take $5,000 off the trade-in value since we’ve already paid $4,500 for other unnecessary repairs and they said NO. However, they did just that which left us upside down in the vehicle so we were not only out $4,500, but now had negative equity and no money for a down payment. Literally, not one single person in this dealership cared at all for the situation THEY created. Had the problem been diagnosed properly from the beginning, we would have paid $5,000 for a new transmission and been done with it (if that’s really what was wrong?!?!). After sharing our story with an unbelievable amount of people, we have learned this is how this dealership operates. Not one person that we have spoken to had anything positive to say about their service department. My boss took his vehicle there EIGHT times before they finally fixed the problem with his Yukon. I can’t warn people enough about this dealership. Oh, and let me be clear, our vehicles are meticulously maintained and serviced before it’s even due so it’s not like he was driving a clunker! If there was a zero rating, I would have preferred to used that! They are the rudest, incompetent and arrogant people I have ever encountered. It starts from Dave Cross all the way down to their servic used that! They are the rudest, incompetent and arrogant people I have ever encountered. It starts from Dave Cross all the way down to their service and parts area. All over a defective battery that they refused to replace unless they could diagnose our SUV and charge $325 to start with. This amount doesn't include the service of whatever problem they found. Even after having our battery diagnosed and charged at another car service establishment and they confirmed what we thought in the 1st place. The battery was bought 9 months ago. When I spoke with Dave Cross about replacing the battery, he told me to get out of his business and not to come back or he would call the police. HOW RUDE! I guess customers don't matter to him.
