I will never walk into NissanWorld of Dartmouth again. They played head games with me for 30 days, saying they would honor the back back voucher for my Maxima and in the end, did not. My experience started out as any other my girlfriend and I pulled into the dealership looking for a new vehicle to purchase in the near future. We walked around for a bit then we were greeted with a salesma I pulled into the dealership looking for a new vehicle to purchase in the near future. We walked around for a bit then we were greeted with a salesman by the name of Jerry. He was nice and helpful but we were just looking at the time so we didn't sit down and talk numbers. A week or two later Jerry gave me a call to check up on how we were doing and asked if we would like to stop by so we did. We were interested in a new pathfinder but weren't able to reach an agreement so Jerry showed us some used vehicles on the lot that we took a liking to and again weren't able to reach an agreement. so the manager told us he would contact us if a vehicle he thought would fit our needs and budget. A week or so later I received a call from another salesman named Jason who had told me that Jerry was no longer at the dealership and that he would get us into the vehicle we wanted. So we went in and sat down with Jason. We explained that we couldn't come to an agreement with the pathfinder so he said he would go talk to his manager and come back. When he came back he explained it couldn't happen because I have less than perfect credit which is no ones fault except mine. So he showed us another vehicle a 2012 Nissan versa hatchback. The vehicle was for my girlfriend she took it out for a test drive and liked it. So we started to talk numbers we reached and agreement and filled out the paper work. It was on a Friday and with it being Veterans Day weekend the vehicle couldn't be registered until Tuesday. I asked for veteran plates and they told me it wouldn't be a problem they had the veteran plates at the dealership I just needed to turn in my dd214. So Saturday we go in to turn in what we needed to. Sunday Jason calls and says I need to turn in a form for the rmv to acquire the veterans plates not a problem I went online and printed out the form and turned it in that day. Tuesday rolls around and Jason calls and tells me that its looking like the vehicle will be registered Wednesday again not a problem. Wednesday Jason calls me and tells me I gave him the wrong form and the rmv won't accept it. So me beginning to get fed up I say forget it just give me regular plates ill get the veterans plates another day. It's now Thursday afternoon and I haven't heard from Jason so I call and can't get a hold of him. The receptionist asks if I'd like to leave a message and I reply with yes tell Jason if my car isn't registered by today he can keep it. Not even 2 minutes later Jason calls and says I need to come in to the dealership. I go to the dealership and he tells me that stock numbers on the keys have been switched so instead of filling out paper work for the versa hatchback I filled out paper work for a versa sedan of less quality. So Jason shows me the sedan and tries to convince me it's a better suited vehicle for my girlfriend. My girlfriend disagrees and says she wants the hatchback so to try and deter us Jason tells us it's more money for the hatchback. I reply with that's not my problem I want the same deal and it should be made the same deal for our inconvenience. Of course they disagree but we eventually come to an agreement. By this time the rmv is closed and its to late to register the car. So they have us a rental and said they would inspect the car and deliver it. Friday around 10am Jason calls my girlfriend and tells her it's all set so she heads to the dealership. When she gets there the car still hasn't gotten its inspection so she had to wait on it. When she finally gets the car and gets in it the car smells like someone had been smoking in it. I didn't bother complaining because I was tired of getting the deer in headlights look with no straight answers. I'm sure this mess doesn't happen often there but because of this experience I will never recommend this dealership and I will never go back in the future to purchase another vehicle. More
My husband and I visited two dealerships before going to Nissan World of Dartmouth. After the experience with those dealerships, I told my husband I could never buy a car without him. That all changed when we went to Nissan World of Dartmouth. Mr. Joe Ferreira was polite, very professional and made us feel relaxed about the car buying experience. He took time and did not rush us. We bought a new car that first visit! He then had to have us speak with the finance manager, Carlos Machado. I thought, "oh no this is where it gets difficult". Again, Mr. Machado made us feel very welcome and comfortable, everything went smoothly. Even other employees not involved in our sale were genuinely friendly, you have a fantastic team at Nissan World of Dartmouth. We have already recommended the dealership to anyone who has asked about our new car. Thank you! More
In August I decided that I needed a bigger car after just having another baby. I was currently driving an Altima, which I was not a huge fan of and was paying way too much for. I went to Nissan Dartmouth to see what my options would be, but was not really expecting to drive away with a new car. My salesman was Henry Alfonso, and he was unbelievable. He made me feel right at home, never pushy and very honest. I have had experiences at previous dealerships where I felt taken advantage of bc I am a female. This was not the case at all. I felt very comfortable with Henry and he suggested the Rogue to me. He worked the deal so that I was paying exactly what I wanted to pay, and not a penny more. He could have tried to sell me something much more expensive, but I was honest with him about my financial situation, and he made the deal happen... which by the way, was not easy on his part bc I owed so much more on my Altima than it was even worth. I never thought in a million years that I would be able to get into a new car that I LOVE, considering how upside down I was on my Altima. That really impressed me that he was able to make it happen. I also wanted black on black, but there werent any in the showroom. Henry also made that happen as well... I was willing to take a blue one that was not really one of my top choice of colors. Henry suggested I wait a few days so he could find me a black one, he really wanted me to be 100% happy with my purchase. He took the risk of me not coming back or going to another dealership. Also, I was hoping for leather, but knew it was out of my price range. But Henry, once again to my surprise, made it happen. I would also like to add that while I was there for a few hours, I had my two boys with me- 2 years old, and a 6 month old. Henry actually babysat my baby for me while I took care of my toddler... he gave him a bottle and everything! I never had such a wonderful experience with a car salesman, and I would recommend that everyone go buy a car from Henry Alfonso! He will somehow make it happen. And ps, I love my new Rogue too;) More
I just purchased a 2010 Nissan rogue,I not only love the car, but my experience at Nissan world of Dartmouth was incredible. Before I went to Nissan world I shopped a few other dealers in the area and the t car, but my experience at Nissan world of Dartmouth was incredible. Before I went to Nissan world I shopped a few other dealers in the area and the the treatment I received at nissan world was a 10. When I first drove onto the lot there was an employee walking around the service area and little did I know that employee Josh Papoula was going to be my salesman. A few minutes later I was approached by Josh and welcomed to Nissan world of Dartmouth. He asked me if this was my first visited at the dealership, so I told Josh that I had been shopping around a few dealers in the area and I was overwhelmed with the pressure and unfriendliness that I had received at those other dealerships. Josh then said to me that it was unfortunate that I had to experience that but that's not the way we conduct business here at Nissan world of Dartmouth, he then reached in his pocket and gave me his business card and told me very politely that he wasn't going to hound me around the lot, and if I had any questions that he would be right inside. Right then and there I new Nissan world of Dartmouth was going to earn my business. I then walked around the lot and was approached by two or three sales people and told them I was just looking around and that I had already talked with Josh and that I was going inside to ask a few questions about this silver Nissan rogue. Josh was sitting at his desk and when I walked in he asked me if I would like a coffee or bottle of water and he also pointed out where the ladies room was located . This was professionalism at it's finest,I have never felt so comfortable during a car buying experience and I have purchased 7 cars in my lifetime. He then went and grabbed the keys and a plate for a test ride. Mind you I had no intentions on test driving anything that day and only wanted pricing and financing options. on the test drive, Josh went over every aspect of the vehicle, warranty information regarding the Nissan cetification program. I had no idea that the rogue was a 4 cyl and that it was built on the Nissan altima platform. Mind you I had also been to a Nissan dealer in the area and test drove a rogue and wasnt informed about anything about the rogue. While on the test drive I kept on bugging Josh about price, and picking his brain on much of a good deal I could get on the Rogue. I loved it and he knew it but he didn't used that to his advantage. Josh said " you live local and we would love to earn your buisness, and theres going to be no games or back and forth to his manager,"When we arrived back at the dealership, we agreed upon a fair price, and everything was done in under a hour. Josh thank you so much for such a great experience and I one have a local dealership to do business with that I'm very very pleased. It really couldn't have gone any better... I went in on a Thursday afternoon and drove off with my new Nissan XTerra the next afternoon. Josh Papoula was very good at helping me pick out the right car for me. Back in May, I started a new job with a major corporation that pays for my vehicle. Since I am in outside sales, I knew I needed a safe vehicle that was good on gas. I have always owned Toyota's, specifica that pays for my vehicle. Since I am in outside sales, I knew I needed a safe vehicle that was good on gas. I have always owned Toyota's, specifically, Camry's. I went in to my local Toyota dealer, and the sales person was awful to me. I got the feeling he felt that because I told him this would be my 5th Toyota, that he didn't need to "try" to win my business. After a few trips to the Toyota dealership, my husband and I left very angry. I could not believe how I was treated after being such a loyal customer. It was a car I was going to be driving daily, and he ignored me, and only wanted to talk to my husband. It was as if I was not even there. I decided to look into Nissan's. I went in, having never test driven a Nissan, but knew they ranked very high in their class for the Altima. Specifically, the Consumers Report I had read, put them at #1. Since I am out on the road, all day, everyday, saftey is the #1 priority to me. I walked around the lot and looked at the Altimas. Brian approached me and was very nice. I have to admit, because of my experience over at the Toyota dealership down the road, I was a bit leary. But, Brian was great! He knew I LOVED the Altima, but also, that I wanted to have a vehicle that was good on gas, sporty and within my budget. Brian was so patient with me, very kind, and extremely knowledgeable. He lifted the hood, went through all the saftey features around the car, and explained why that would keep me safe, while going about my daily business in my sales territory. He won my respect, because he listened to what my most important need was. I appreciated that. I was so impressed with how I was treated by Brian and Miguel (his then sales manager), that I felt compelled to call the dealership that night after I left, and let them know about my negative experience at Toyota, and how I was already having a far superior experience. I returned to Nissan World of Dartmouth 2 days later, with my Husband, and knew I wanted the Altima. I got one fully loaded, and though they did not have it there at their site, they were able to get it in, after Memorial Day weekend. The entire process was seemless. Even after I told them I found out my employer has discounts negotiated with Nissan, they still treated me the same, even better, actually! I hadn't known that the first time I went in, and they seemed happy to have the partnership with my employer. That discount, my husbands trade, and their memorial day sale, we did very well. Brian was a class act. I felt it appropriate to send him a personal thank you note a couple weeks after my purchase. Thanks to Brian, and all the employees at Nissan World of Dartmouth, this EX-Toyota owner, is now a proud Nissan owner. And I must say, the car is amazing, has more bells and whistles than the Toyota XLE did. Awesome ride. Thanks to Brian and all the people that made me feel welcome at Nissan of Dartmouth. I went into the dealership to trade in my 2002 Acura; I looked at a few cars on the lot and saw 3 different ones I liked. I was approached by a very polite young man named Brian Ponte. When it came to numbers, we went inside and I told him firstly this is what I can afford a month I don't want the payment to be a penny more. Brian was very understanding and after some negotiating, (about 15 minutes worth) we came to an agreement that I was very pleased with. I picked the car up the next day; I did not have to wait around like some dealers will do. He told me it would be ready by 2 and when I got there at 1:45 it was ready to go. I really appreciated the kindness and understanding that was shown. I recommend Brian and Nissean World to anyone that mentions "I think I need a new car." More
My first new vehicle was purchased at Nissan world of Dartmoth, and let me tell you it has to have been the best experience ever.I never thought thought that after hearing all the horror stories you hear Dartmoth, and let me tell you it has to have been the best experience ever.I never thought thought that after hearing all the horror stories you hear that I would have found some of the greatest people along with my dream car. The experience was unforgetable. Josh was more like an old friend thana salesman at work. I was so happy and Josh went above and beyond to make evrything happen for me...and trust me I'm not an easy person to make happy... Thank you Josh.... More
