I’ve gone back and forth on buying a van for years. I’ve been a loyal Toyota owner since the late ’90s, but once our family grew, the Highlander just couldn’t cut it. With two weeklong trips planned this summer, I finally decided to buy. I started with the Toyota Sienna, it felt like the natural next step. But Beaman Toyota didn’t have any on the lot and wanted a $500 deposit just to bring one in. That turned me off. No pressure, clear info, and made both me and my kid laugh. That matters more than I can explain. I lost my wife to stomach cancer last December. I’m solo parenting two little ones while working full-time. So to go through a big purchase like this and not feel stressed or hustled was a gift. I walked in expecting another dealership headache. I walked out feeling taken care of. That’s why I left Toyota after 20+ years. The Odyssey checked every box, more space, sliding second-row seats, and still runs on gas.
