This review is about the extended warranties offered on a new vehicle purchase and issues with the service department due to extended warranty repairs and severe lack of communication. If you purchase a car new vehicle purchase and issues with the service department due to extended warranty repairs and severe lack of communication. If you purchase a car from Daniels Long DO NOT buy the Extended Warranty from them, shop on your own and buy it through many of the other reputable companies available. When I purchased my vehicle new from Daniels Long I purchased the offered extended warranty. Just outside of the manufacturer warranty the transmission failed in my vehicle. I tried to have a different dealership repair my vehicle, but Daniels Long would not release the Extended warranty for my vehicle to be repaired by a different dealer as the vehicle was within a 50 mile radius of Daniels Long. If the vehicle is within the 50 mile radius of Daniels Long, the vehicle must be repaired by Daniels Long per the extended warranty. I had to have the vehicle towed to Daniels Long from the dealer it was at. The extended warranty offers a rental vehicle for 6 days max for repairs, I was without my vehicle for almost 6 weeks waiting for a transmission replacement and no rental vehicle was ever offered, not even the 6 days covered by the extended warranty company. Various difficulties with getting a remanufactured transmission, a cancelled transmission order, no communication of additional diagnostic charges above and beyond the transmission repairs when other issues were found but the extended warranty company refused to cover the repairs. So, I have an engine that could fail at any time since the extended warranty company wouldn't repair it and I was shocked to be billed for diagnostic work I never authorized on the engine and never ask if I wanted repaired out of pocket. In addition, the assigned service advisor stopped communicating as they had resigned, the assigned mechanic quit which delayed repairs even more. No communication for any of the issues, delays, or costs were ever communicated by the Service department or service manager regarding my vehicle. More
I wrote Daniels Chevrolet with questions regarding A Bolt EUV. First response was canned and generic. When I responded with the same questions a second time I got no response. I took my business elsewhere EUV. First response was canned and generic. When I responded with the same questions a second time I got no response. I took my business elsewhere and purchased from one of their competitors who treated me right. Daniels Chevrolet is a terrible dealership. More
From the experience of purchasing a truck that was like going to the dentist. To getting all the assessories installed in the service department. Their experienced mechanic too triple the time that was al going to the dentist. To getting all the assessories installed in the service department. Their experienced mechanic too triple the time that was allotted in the book to install tow hooks that took two times when ordering to get the correct ones. Same with the rims that was ordered. Wrong rims ordered so had to reorder. The sales person was not experienced to be an asset and the service department does not reflect a positive experience. For the first service. New KID was assigned to me as my service advisor. To sum up our interaction when dropping off my car. I had questions as to why certain questions were necessary and he laughed in my face as I was ignorant. Not acceptable at all in any service oriented industry my service advisor had 2 kids with him distracting him from his job. When my truck was done. My advisor stayed on the phone instead of asking another person to take care of me. So I asked. I am happy to say that even though this truck is not a year old that I am selling it and am glad that I never h a very to go back to this dealer. My advise to anyone that may be thinking of buying from this dealership is to go elsewhere. There is other dealers in town and though I don't know how they are. It cannot be this bad that I experienced. More

Went in last Saturday to take to someone about getting it looked at and do a better job. Talked to Roger there and got a good feeling about Daniel's long chevy. I thought we set a appt up for Friday and we left our traverse thur night . Friday came and no call. I called about 1 pm and was told Roger was at lunch. He called be back at 140pm and told me there were just taking it in to look at it and would get a call when he gets so. Info on it. 5 pm comes around no call so I called and left a message. Got a call back at 545pm. Roger said the tech had another big job and didn't get to look at our vehicle. He said he could get to it on Monday. We picked up our vehicle sat and will find someone else to look at it More
Roger was my service advisor and he was great! He was super patient and answered all my dumb questions. The dealership is really nice and has great amenities if you’re waiting there for your car. Vacationing from Texas and my chevy duramax had engine light on. Pulled up to this dealership and the service guy Beau was like an angel to me. He went the extra mile to take care of my truck's problem so light on. Pulled up to this dealership and the service guy Beau was like an angel to me. Unfortunately today was my last day as a service customer. Im disappointed after 3+ years of living here this place has service my 2019 Chevrolet Trax. I probably should have started looking for ano customer. Im disappointed after 3+ years of living here this place has service my 2019 Chevrolet Trax. I probably should have started looking for another service back in 2021 when they had to break my oil pan off and replace it during a routine maintenance because technicians there previously put the bolts on too tight. Anthony in service was there then and helped me during that time. Anthony is no longer there now in 2022 so I had Roger in service help me. Roger is a great service advisor. When I brought my Chevy Trax in for another scheduled routine maintenance last month (June 2022) I brought to the attention that my car overheated when I was up in Denver on a 100 degree day and that it stopped overheating after a few minutes. This would be the only issue I have seen since purchasing this car back in 2019. I was told that day other than my 60k service that needed completed that everything else checked out in the car. About two weeks and less than 1000 miles later I have a check engine light come on. I schedule to bring my car in July 2022 a month after I just had it in there. I wanted to make sure before I moved forward with the 60k service scheduled that the engine light was nothing catastrophic and hopefully had something to do with the service needing completed. When I brought it in today I was contacted by Roger saying they drove it for 11 miles with no engine light on. Confused as I brought it in with the engine light on I had no explanation and neither did they. As a few hours progress I get another call telling me that the radiator needs to be replaced. Parking the car in a garage and not seeing it leak I was confused. I was also confused how this wasn't something spotted last month when it was in. It really brings me to my conclusion that now I am under the influence that who knows how long and what in my car goes un-maintained when I was coming here. More
bought a truck from them on 7/8/2022 was told they were going to throw in a 60 mon 60k warranty on it for free, then they charged us $5995.00 for it and didn't send the paperwork for 10 days so we went in going to throw in a 60 mon 60k warranty on it for free, then they charged us $5995.00 for it and didn't send the paperwork for 10 days so we went in to get it and that's when we found out about the charge. they wouldn't give us a refund on it and would honor their word about it being free. all i want is the money back because we didn't want it if we were paying for it. i am never going to shop there again and will tell everyone i know about this experience. Do not shop here!!! They are using fraudulent sales tactics to get people to pay more. The finance guy claimed his copier died so he couldn't give us the paperwork that day and made us wait past the 3 day return policy so we couldn't get our money back More
Unfortunately, I had to write this review even after purchasing five previous vehicles from the Phil Long dealerships over the years. Not only did they NOT honor the stated price on their website but ma purchasing five previous vehicles from the Phil Long dealerships over the years. Not only did they NOT honor the stated price on their website but marked the vehicle up an additional $5K due to so-called "current supply". I will NEVER set foot in another Phil Long dealership again. The Tesla model of factory direct sales is the future of vehicle purchases and the only way to stop the insane mark-up. More
