DO NOT BUY FROM WEEKS PRE-OWNED We recently purchased a certified pre-owned 2018 Audi A5 convertible with just 12,000 miles on it at Weeks. We saw the vehicle on a Thursday early eve We recently purchased a certified pre-owned 2018 Audi A5 convertible with just 12,000 miles on it at Weeks. We saw the vehicle on a Thursday early evening, left a deposit and arranged to pick the vehicle up Saturday at 10:00. We arrived at 10:00 am sharp, super excited to get the paperwork signed and get the keys. Derek Smith, our sales guy, took us out to the car and it much to our surprise the car was filthy, dead bugs all over to the front bumper and grill, smear marks where is looked like someone basically hosed it off and wiped it down, the inside was dusty on the dash and in the vents. On Thursday when we left a deposit it was pouring out and we knew the car needed a detail, they had all Friday and Saturday am to assure it was done. Derek was equally surprised and said how embarrassed he was. He said he was going to get the detailer out immediately to take care of it. After sometime waiting with no results he went to speak to his sales manager's and came back out and assured us he was working on it, he asked if we had time to wait, keep in mind that we live in Middletown and with no traffic it is a an 70/75 minute drive one way, we agreed to wait. After another 20 minutes sitting outside waiting for the detailer, sales manager or anyone for that matter to clean the car we decided to leave. I went back inside and found Derek sitting in his managers office. They said the detailer was not answering his cell phone, they offered for us to bring the car back another time. I explained that we were not traveling 2 ½ hours to get the car detailed and that resolution was not acceptable. We paid $225 to have the car detailed. A few days later we received an email from Joe Catanese thanking us for the purchase and assuring us complete customer satisfaction. I am sure it was an auto-generated email because it never addressed or apologized for what happened. I responded with our displeasure and copied Derek in, Derek called shortly thereafter and thanked me for the email and said that two detailers were fired for the incident, he again wanted us to drive back down to Danbury for a detail, we declined, we told him that it was not acceptable and would be happy if they just reimbursed us for the detail. Now the second issue, we inquired where the windscreen was for the car, Derek originally said on Thursday when we looked at it that it was in the trunk, we checked and it was not, he then told us that the car didn't come with one because it wasn't on the original sticker, we believed him but thought it was odd because the car is equipped with a Premium Plus and Luxury Package with every option available. We went to Wallingford Audi last week to order it and when they looked up the vin# they said the car did come with it as a standard item with that car, that pacakge. When we asked Derek about it he said that the dealership was sabotaging them which was far from accurate, they were simply trying to save us the money of ordering one when the car did in fact come with it. We paid $48,000 for the car, original sticker was $$62,000, we never thought we needed to inspect the car before signing the paperwork, we previously purchased from Danbury Audi and they were great. I would never purchase from Weeks Pre-Owned again and would NOT recommend them to anyone. More
