Karl, Thank you for the review. These are unprecedented times in the auto industry, as I’m sure you are aware. Shane quoted you a price with a trade in. Your deposit was taken the following day by a different manager, when Shane was off, with no trade in. We promptly refunded you your deposit. There is a huge shortage of used and new vehicles across the country, which is why almost every dealer has no stock to offer to customers. We think you’ll find it more common than not that most dealers are charging thousands above MSRP, but also not even allowing out of town customers to purchase a new vehicle off their lot. We wish you the best of luck car shopping.

I agree that these are unprecedented times in the auto industry. However, the times should not deter you from your values as an organization. I did not indicate I had a trade-in, and I am not from out of state. We arrived at a deal with a down payment. If there was an error by your manager, then you should have honored the agreement and made the necessary training/communication with your team...not canceled the sale. It is unfathomable that you canceled a deal based on your error so you could get an extra $1000 from someone else. You aren't disputing any of the facts, and the reality that you don't understand this was an awful decision/practice is a real head-scratcher.

Your response only substantiates your dealership's attitude towards your customers and it's lack of Customer Service. The point was not whether we traveled 3 1/2 hrs to come look at a vehicle. The point is that your salespeople were incompetent and dishonest, and didn't bother to check the vehicle or the convertible top and its operation, as they were requested to, and then lied and said they did. Furthermore, your website and advertisement of the vehicle is not accurately advertised regarding it's condition, because if it was, nobody would be interested in paying almost $20K for a convertible that has a broken top, that is cracked with duct tape and an Air Bag issue. Again, very thankful we did not end up doing business with your dealership.

Your experience doesn't match the description of almost all of our customers, as you can see in the large number of positive reviews left of our store. Every buyer has different expectations when looking at pre-owned vehicles. We will work with our team to ensure they are providing as much detail as possible, however we always recommend a customer coming to see the vehicle for themselves to properly evaluate it, as each customer may have different expectations. You also told our staff that you were planning to have a relative of yours come see the vehicle before you made the trip to see it in person (this must not have happened either). How far out you spanned your search to come across a vehicle from such a distance is entirely out of our control."
