So so SO glad we decided to stop in at Dan Cummins! Long story short...we’ve been actively car shopping everyday for nearly a wk. We’ve been to every kind of dealership that you could possibly imagine. Long story short...we’ve been actively car shopping everyday for nearly a wk. We’ve been to every kind of dealership that you could possibly imagine. I didn’t really feel like I was a part of the process until today at Dan Cummins. We have a large family and actually needed an 8 seater vehicle. At the other stops an 8 searer was out of the question and the 7 passenger vehicles were either high mileage or just waaay out of the ball park for a used family style car. Dan Cummins didn’t have only one 8 passenger vehicle to choose from ...they had 4! They also had a HUGE selection of 7 passenger vehicles for us to choose from. We were sooo excited to finally find a vehicle large enough for our family...that wasn’t a church bus! We ended up choosing a really nice Honda Pilot. Ashleigh Ferrabee helped us today! She was a pleasure to work with. She was great about answering any questions we had and explaining the process as we went. I would definitely recommend Dan Cummins to anyone looking for a new or used car!!! Pros: * they gave an itemized printout showing us where every dollar was being spent! * since buying a car is a time consuming process (plan on at least 5 hours) it was great that snacks were readily available. My husband is a diabetic, it was great that he could just go choose a snack when his sugar dropped. We didn’t have to leave or ask anyone for a vending machine. * I felt like the prices of the cars were competitive with the other dealerships we visited. * Ashleigh Ferrabee was a joy to work with. * we got a great insurance package with our certified car Cons: * it’s a long process so leave a whole day open * the sales rep is going back and forth to this ...unknown person to talk about getting your payments lower. It’d great to have some kind of relationship with the person...the back and forth is frustrating and caused us to feel like we weren’t part of the process. If we ask you to lower the payment just go as low as you can...why the back and forth?!?!? * they were only going to give us $300 for our trade in. ...but to be fair none of the dealerships was actually going to “pay off our old loan” they were going to tag it on the price of the new car and make us think we were getting a good deal. With Dan Cummins we realized we would be better to pay off our trade-in and sell it ourselves than to actually “trade it in”...so maybe this should have been in the Pros section idk?!? I felt a little cheated with what they were going to give me for my trade in ($300 be for real!!!) but I was glad they were honest! * we were supposed to get a full tank of gas but didn’t realize until after we left that we actually only had 1/2 a tank * we had a headlight out and had to run into Walmart for a new one the same night we bought our car More
