Dear Stuart, I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the recent service experience at your dealership. I have brought my Jeep to your service department multiple times, trusting that the work would be done correctly and any issues would be properly addressed. Unfortunately, my most recent service resulted in a catastrophic engine failure. Your service department informed me that they needed to investigate the cause of the issue. The only feedback I received was that my engine was ruined, with no explanation as to why it failed. I sought opinions from several outside sources, all of whom indicated that the repair your department completed is a highly probable cause of engine failure if not performed correctly. Despite this, your service department quoted me over $12,000 for a new engine and claimed no responsibility for the failure. After weeks of no communication from your service department I decided to remove my jeep from the lot. I was then charged $570 for a compression test, which merely confirmed the engine failure without identifying the cause or investigating previous work done by your technicians. When we jeep was dropped off it was known that the engine had failed. A $570 compression test was not needed. I have now taken my Jeep to an independent shop for further investigation into the probable causes of the engine failure. Given the circumstances and the lack of accountability and communication from your service department, I am requesting a full refund for the past repairs performed by your dealership. I am extremely dissatisfied with the handling of this situation.
