Fit for purpose, basically. It was represented as safe and drivable. I took delivery, and that night found that the car was leaking excess fluid when parked. (I have pictures on my Google map review) The next business day, I took it back to the dealer, and got it diagnosed. The part that connects the passenger-side front wheel to the axel was losing lubricant, and was going to fail shortly. When it fails (in the next few days, I'm told) it could cause several thousand dollars of damage. The fix was quoted as $450 out of pocket in a local repair shop. I asked them to address this, in their repair center, at their expense, given it was a problem before I took possession of the car. Dale Willey refused, despite several reasonable attempts to hold them responsable. - Steve Cain, sales manager, representing that they did not know, because they do not check the hubs, because they only check for safety issues, and this is not something they would have looked at. However, when talking to the mechanic the next day about the needed repair, they had just replaced the *other side connection* a few days ago, and choose to leave the (slowly leaking) connection alone. So a reasonable conclusion is they do check the hubs, and if one needs to be replaced, it would be common sense to assess and/or replace the other, especially if leaking. - Steve then fed me a line about how he can not help customers with problems like this, because it would show favoritism, and open him up to a class action lawsuit. After reflecting on this, I politely called BS, and he started yelling at me, stating to the effect of "The answer is No! I will not fix your car!". At this point I promptly left the store. - I talked to the general manager the next day, and he said that it is unreasonable to expect that the car does not have problems like this, and even if they knew about the issue, it was my responsibility to take the car for an outside assessment first. Which means that they do not stand behind their cars, and when buying there can be many, perhaps known to them, issues that are not disclosed. Caveat Emptor, basically. Fit to drive off the lot, but not fit to drive. Don't buy from them, because they do not consider a wheel seizing up as a safety issue. In summary, it seems completely unreasonable to need to spend $450 on fixing an issue that was known, or should have been known, by the dealer, and would leave the car undrivable in a handful of weeks. It might be that the sales team did not know what the mechanic did, but in that case you say sorry, and fix it, not yell at your customers. One star, will not be going back, will encourage others to also not use the dealer. More

I recently had to purchase a new vehicle due to mine having engine problems and Dale Willey was the place I chose. I worked with Shannon, and he was very kind and helpful. My review is lower because of having engine problems and Dale Willey was the place I chose. I worked with Shannon, and he was very kind and helpful. My review is lower because of the service department. I had my car brought in to the dealer to look at (I’m new to the area) and was told multiple times that a part was on the way, and given expected timelines. When I finally bit the bullet, I feel that I was not told the full scope of what was going on with my old car, and that they were keeping information from me. I would rather go to a local mechanic for major fixes, then use this service department. More
bought a 3 yo used car that pasted inspection with less than 100,000 miles. 35 days later the entire engine had to be replaced due to catastrophic failure. yes the dealership "helped" on replacing it, but than 100,000 miles. 35 days later the entire engine had to be replaced due to catastrophic failure. yes the dealership "helped" on replacing it, but I still had to pay $1000 with in 2 months of buying the car. About a month later my remote start from my key fob wont work, my catalytic converter is sending engine errors, my heat wont work now, and my radiator is running low. the dealership hasn't responded to any emails I sent after the engine swap. Do NOT trust their inspections. and do NOT buy a used car from these guys. The dealership called the day I made this review on google. they pulled the same crystal ball line 3 other employees had pulled on me. the sales manager said they would have the service department call me to discuss options. a week later with no call, I took my car into a different mechanic. who found the issues and I have to pay $450 to get it fixed up. In telling the mechanic about my RECENT history of this car, he informed me that he believes the dealership did NOT do an inspection of my systems or I wouldn't have been having all the problems I have had. Moral of the story, do not trust anything from this service department/Dealership. and if an employee pulls any line about a crystal ball, just walk awake they are just reciting verbiage to avoid stuff.
