Salesman was good but sales Mgr was pushy. We were shopping for a new vehicle and drove from Dothan to Tallahassee twice. Mgr actually gave me a time limit to call her back before the second trip…ask shopping for a new vehicle and drove from Dothan to Tallahassee twice. Mgr actually gave me a time limit to call her back before the second trip…asked me to call her back in a half hour with an answer. Kept finding the “perfect vehicle” for us even though it wasn’t what we were looking for. Ended up buying a 2021 Murano In Troy AL…much better experience and much easier to work with without that pushy car dealership feel. Received multiple text messages about other “perfect vehicles” that didn’t have the features we wanted even though they weren’t equipped like we desired. Just didn’t get a good feeling while shopping there…maybe others haven’t had this issue but I’ve been buying vehicles for over 30yrs…and I know what it feels like to be pressured. Definitely felt pressured to buy there and so glad we continued to shop around before making a purchase mistake! More
Brought my 2006 HHR in for service at Dale Earnhardt Jr. Chevrolet in Tallahassee, FL. Problem was mainly overheating 235 deg., loosing lots of coolant, had to add coolant everyone -two weeks. They had vehicle for several days, had to keep calling to check on status, finally get answer, that the water pump was bad and was leaking. I ask if they were going to change out thermostat and they said technician said it was ok and that it did not need replaced at this time. Oh, by the way when I got bill back after paying, I noticed several other parts, they claimed was also leaking at the time, several hoses, seals, and clamps, and Two gallons of coolant, they also said, get this, METAL SHARDS behind some tensioner plate. When I was in the Army, they use to call it, shot gunning for parts. Now $1300 later, guess what still leaking, same problem, took it back a few months later, tried to get back sooner, but could not because wife needed secure car that could hold a baby car seat in it. Brought back again for same thing, they had it once again for several days, service advisor asks if he could take it home, which was forty miles away, so that he and the technician could check it for long distance. They said they could not find anything wrong again. Once again, I asked about thermostat, possibly being bad and they said no didn't need it. I told service adviser that I would take pictures with my phone, to show proof that, the car is still overheating and that we keep adding coolant. Taken pictures at end of each week to show high temperature, 217 deg., next week 235g., finally I call my son an asked if he could replace the thermostat in my HHR for me, GUESS What, thermostat did the trick, temperature now gets up to 195 deg. and no higher, even when outside temperature is 110 deg. Cost $17.95 for part and six pack of beer. The service I got there is something I would expect from some off the beaten path garage, out to rip people off. I believe their technician ought to be paid hourly wage instead of commission. If they are going for shot gunning, diagnosing. More
I have never had such a terrible experience trying to purchase a vehicle. Caleb was a sweetheart and really tried to help. Barbie was rude and insulted me. This is the worst dealership you could ever possibly buy a car from. I have bought many cars and quite frankly I have never neen treated as badly as I have been treated at Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet in Tallah a car from. I found a 2017 Chevy Cruz and wanted to trade in my 2012 Ford Focus. I had a trade in offer from CarMax for $4200 and asked them to match it. They offered me $2000 and the Sales Manager Julius Jimenez came out and told me that was the best they can do. I asked him why they couldn't match CarMax and he said because Carmax isn't telling me the truth and wasn't really going to give me that much because that car only goes for $3000 in auction. I told him that I guarantee that my ford focus is going to be sold on their lot for $8,000 and he promised me that it was not going on their lot and that they were going to sell it in an auction. In less then a week, my ford focus was for sale on their website for $8,999. When I was about to leave the dealership with my new car, we noticed that one of the wheels was missing 3 lug nuts!! My wife and I test drove that car and due to this dealerships negligence, we could've been severely injured. This was supposed to be a certified preowned car that underwent a full inspection but some how they missed the fact that it was missing 3 lug nuts in one wheel. We couldn't even leave with the car because it was unsafe to drive and had to take a loaner home for the night. Then, after being incredibly dissatisfied with not only the fact that it was missing 3 lug nuts but also that I was lied to about my trade in, I chose to leave a review exposing them for how terrible they are. After leaving a review I immediately received a call from Julius Jimenez asking me that if they gave me $500 will I take the reviews down. I agreed that once I receive the $500 I will take them down. He said I will have the check within a week. The check never came and Julius started not responding to my text messages. I called several times to speak to the general manager Jason Goss and was never able to get through to him. I eventually received a call from General Sales Manager Angie Rogo who might possibly be the rudest person I have ever spoken to. She immediately started yelling at me and told me that I will not get anything from them and that I need to "check my tone" and that she will not allow me to question the integrity of her staff. She proceeded to yell at me until I eventually hung up. This place is horrible. I would never recommend anyone buy a car from them!!! They have never heard of customer service and they seem to think its okay to lie to your face! More
This dealership sold my 76 year old mother a really bad car with almost no accessories on the car. They new what she wanted and slipped a very poorly equipped car to her.
