Purchased Subaru Ascent We read reviews on the new Subaru Ascent and decided we wanted to purchase that vehicle. I stopped at Dahl Subaru and met with Alex on my first meetin We read reviews on the new Subaru Ascent and decided we wanted to purchase that vehicle. I stopped at Dahl Subaru and met with Alex on my first meeting. He did a great job explaining the new Ascent including pulling it indoors. My husband then was able to look it over from his wheelchair. Alex spent a great deal of time going over the vehicle with us and asked if we wanted to take it for a test drive. We declined the test drive for that day and scheduled one for the next week. Again Alex went out of the way to make sure we understood everything about the Ascent on the test drive. We decided to purchase the Ascent. Tony then worked with us and GECU to get our financing in order so we only had to make one stop. The ladies at the front desk made us feel extremely welcome each time we came to the dealership. I can't say enough about how pleased we were in dealing with Alex, Tony and the wonderful ladies at the reception desk. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase a vehicle from them once again. A Place Worth Traveling to for buying a car We live in the St Paul / Minneapolis metro area. We have been to various dealerships looking for cars and actually bought one last May from an area de We live in the St Paul / Minneapolis metro area. We have been to various dealerships looking for cars and actually bought one last May from an area dealer. Those experiences were 3 stars at best and typically not even rating a star. We happened to drive by the Dahl dealership while in La Crosse and my wife thought the prices looked reasonable compared to what we had seen within a 60 mile radius of the Twin Cities. Upon stopping in, we found a genuinely friendly staff that was very helpful. And I mean - they really were sincere - you can tell! We were looking for a car for our daughter and asked about one we saw. Dylan was very knowledgeable about the car and offered to let us take it for a test drive. After driving it, I was thinking this was not the car I wanted. I had seen one other car on the lot that I thought might be ok. Dylan and I talked about it before the test drive and when we got back he had moved that car and had it ready just-in-case we wanted to try it! We didn't even have to ask! We drove it and decided it was the one to get. Then it got interesting - as we were from out-of-town and had not brought our check book. We were able to get things setup with our credit union, but the only way to make it work was to do a wire transfer and it was now too late in the day to get that completed! We were willing to stay another day to wait for the wire transfer but there were a few more things to do. When it looked like it was all arranged, we then found out the asking price was not going to meet the guidelines the credit union was allowed to do. As the dealer had already given us a good price, we thought it would be asking too much of the dealership to do anymore and so began thanking everyone for their time etc. (We were fairly confident someone would buy the car for their asking price.) But Dylan said - really, "it won't hurt to ask" so we waited and Nathan came back and said they would meet the credit union's guideline! We were floored! I'm still speechless thinking about it. The car had only been on the lot 3 days. They did not have to do that. We've been to other dealers - seen the games and indifference. None of that was here. Ashley set things up for the transfer and Nathan recommended a restaurant that we can't wait to try again. Ryan also helped with some paperwork. The next day when we came to pick the car up there was a slight glitch on our credit unions part. Nathan was great - very patient and supportive - (not to mention innovative - offering up a few options to take care of the taxes etc.) while we worked things out. All was set. Dylan had taken the car over for the final clean up yesterday and it was ready and waiting. Tony came out and greeted us. He shared other information about the car that he knew personally due to the fact that it happen to have been his son's! The entire dealership worked as a team. We plan on working with them again when we need our next car! More
