First of all, I bought my Ford Focus from here and when I got it home I could see the trunk latch had been DUCT TAPED and shockingly enough started giving me fits within a week of ownership. I returned to D got it home I could see the trunk latch had been DUCT TAPED and shockingly enough started giving me fits within a week of ownership. I returned to Dahl only to be told I had to pay $200 before the warranty would cover. I had my car serviced there about 3 times and each time I left there was a new problem. I purchased a new Focus from a dealer out of town and now I have a letter stating some part has been recalled. I work about 20 feet from the Dahl dealership but I'm calling Courtesy because this place is awful. The people were pleasant, the services rendered were the worst. Also I have no idea what employee I dealt with but I could not submit this review until I clicked on one. Sorry, Lisa. More
I have a highly-modified 2005 Mustang and typically take it to my regular mechanic. As a general rule, I try to avoid dealerships like the plague. However, I recently had a particular problem that was, I it to my regular mechanic. As a general rule, I try to avoid dealerships like the plague. However, I recently had a particular problem that was, I felt after a LOT of consideration, probably best left to a Ford dealership to resolve. I bought my Mustang at Dahl Ford and knew it had a decent air of professionalism about the place. I contacted Dan Wich by phone and arranged to bring in the vehicle. Before the day of my appointment, I went out to meet with Dan in person. I wanted him to see my Mustang (seeing it gives everyone a pretty good idea of how "special" it is to me). I again explained the problem, and Dan left me feeling comfortable in my decision to leave my Mustang with the Dahl service department. When I brought it in on the day of my appointment, April Ricketts handled things... took my keys, went over the work to be performed, et cetera. She arranged for someone at the dealership to drive me to work that morning (and when the work was all done, to pick me up from work). She, like Dan, also made me feel like my Mustang wouldn't be "hurt" while in their care. Later that day, Dan called me at work and told me they had identified the problem, located the correct replacement part, and gave me a cost estimate. I gave him my permission to proceed with the work. When everything was done, and I picked up my Mustang, the problem (an issue with the lumbar support) was resolved to my satisfaction, there was no damage to the interior, and a walkaround revealed no dents or scratches. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and actually came out a bit cheaper than I was expecting. Dan and April are professionals, courteous, and they treat you like people, not just portable wallet carriers. Though I am still going to avoid dealerships like the plague... at least where my Mustang is concerned... I have no problem whatsoever in recommending Dahl's service department. If you deal with Dan or April, I believe you'll be taken care of properly and in a manner to your liking. More

My wife and I were on a trip to Michigan when our Ford Freestyle had trouble with the transmission- the only time we ever had any problems with it. It just so happened that this happened very near the Davenport exit. We were able to drive it, but not at highway speeds. We were able to stop at a local business and found out that we were near a Ford Dealer - Dahl! At least we thought we could get it looked at and be on our way. So we called Dahl and found out we were only 3 miles away. We sat in their spacious and nice waiting room while they looked at the car. I picked up a book in the waiting room and found out that they were a very prestigious Ford dealer and had been in business for over 5 generations. Well, they came in to the waiting room and notified us of indeed a transmission problem that could only be repaired the next afternoon- due to a parts delivery needed. Since we really didn't know what to do, I decided to look at some of the used cars on the lot JUST to see if we had any interest. We were directed to a salesman Javier. He was very perceptive and showed us around the used car lot at the type we were looking for. We already knew that if we bought another car, it would be used anyway - since we live on a gravel road in Iowa. Javier found us a Ford Edge that had only 28,000 miles on it. It looked good, but at first we weren't ready to pay the first offer with our trade in. As we were leaving to eat lunch in town - to drive our car, Javier offered for us to take the Edge and see how we like it. I agreed, liked the ride and my wife liked the car too. After checking the blue book values and trade in via my son over the phone, I felt more comfortable with the prices, not having the time to think about it before. I called Javier from the restaurant and told him what I was willing to give for the Edge after the trade in. After I got back and we talked about it, he came back with a contract, and we had a new car to continue our trip in! We noticed everyone we talked too was very happy to be working there. Everyone was so helpful - better than any other car dealer I have ever been in- and I'm 65 yrs old. Javier was very good to work with and we would recommend him to any customer. I bought a car from Dahl a few months ago and my sales experience was awesome. Javier was easy to work with and understood my reasons for trading my truck and only wanting a specific type of car. I purcha experience was awesome. Javier was easy to work with and understood my reasons for trading my truck and only wanting a specific type of car. I purchased the vehicle I wanted and was happy Javier was able to find the vehicle and have it shipped in. Now begins my story.... The same day I purchased the vehicle and the day after I called and complained about the brakes squealing. I was not happy with this as brakes should not sound this awful. I took it in and Mike took a look at it since it was Javier's day off. Of course they didn't make the awful sound when Mike was listneing. He told me to drive it a little more and see what happens. Next day I took it back again because I couldn't stand it. Javier took it down to service to have them look at it. Service says the brake pads are brand new or near new and the brakes squeal a little bit. I said this is not a little bit....really irritated. Service said the squealing will stop once the pads are broke in. ok....I said I would drive it a little more and see what happens..... we are now in June, 3 months later. The brakes continue to get worse, I can't stand it and call Javier and tell him about the brakes and tell him I am ready to trade it. He tell me to bring it in the next day and he will get it looked at again. I did and service decides they would soak my brake pads in what they call no squeal and that this should help for a while. Not really, we took the car for a test drive before I picked it up and they were squealing as soon as they warmed up. Josh was very concerned and went to speak with Javier and other members of the sales team to see what could be done. They sent me home because they needed to discuss options. Javier called me bright and early the next morning to discuss trading it in. Meanwhile I had done some research and talked to people and found out that if brakes are making that much noise when they are heated up they are defective brake pads. Talked to Javier and discussed this with him and it was a safety issue. Javier was concerned this whole time because he knew I was not happy with my new car, I mean I was ready to trade I was hating it that much. Javier was able to arrange new brake pads and rotors. Its been several days since I received the car back from service and I am 100% happier with the car! It hasn't made a noise since! Javier was awesome once again! He went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the car I purchased! Josh in service was awesome also! They both understood why I was hating the car after listening to the way it sounded. Thank you to both Javier and Josh! I will for sure be back to see you! More
I was passing thru and stopped to get an oil change and have a front end noise. I had an appointment and was there before 8 a.m.. I advised my service advisor, April, I needed the truck back by 3 pm. have a front end noise. I had an appointment and was there before 8 a.m.. I advised my service advisor, April, I needed the truck back by 3 pm. About 2pm I called to check on the status. After checking, I was advised they had not worked on the truck at all. Very disappointing. Wasted a day siting in Davenport waiting, for nothing. Picked up the truck and moved on to try and have the work done elsewhere. More
This was our first visit to Dahl Ford. We were looking for a late model used Edge until we learned what great deals were available on the 2012's. Our salesman, Kenny McGinnis thought we might like to see for a late model used Edge until we learned what great deals were available on the 2012's. Our salesman, Kenny McGinnis thought we might like to see what's new on the 2013 and they had one that had just come in the day before and was in the wash bay. Kenny went to get it for us to look at and we liked it from the beginning! Kenny was awesome at describing the features of the car and the differences from the 2012. After a thorougly enjoyable test drive, we were pretty much convinced that this was what we were looking for, but how could we afford it? Kenny patiently worked with us on getting the most out of our trade and the sales management was very receptive to our offer and deal suggestions. Since this was only one of two 2103 Escapes in the Quad Cities, we knew we didn't have a lot of bargaining power, but were pleased with the deal that we could agree to with the management. Now, for the trip to the Business Mananger, where they traditionally try to add to your bottom line---Not the case. We did buy a couple add-ons, but only because we intended to from the start. We were not pressured by anyone, at any point during the deal. Dahl Ford was a pleasant surprise in car buying!! More

James came up to me and asked if he could help me and i told him about my problem and he took the key and re-programed my key and it worked awesome. James went above and beyond my expectations. He was so helpful and maked sure that i did not have any more troubles. James is defintely a true asset to Dahl Ford. I would rate James a 10 in customer satisfaction.
