I have to thank Dahl Ford and especially Tim O'Leary for the great service and care they gave us over the last several months. We have bought vehicles (F-150 and Edge) from Tim previously, and always e for the great service and care they gave us over the last several months. We have bought vehicles (F-150 and Edge) from Tim previously, and always enjoyed working with him, but he went above and beyond this time. We special ordered our Explorer and he talked us through all the decisions - even letting our kids climb in and out and fold seats over and over. Then a week after ordering, we were in an accident with our Edge and had no idea what to do. The body shop at Dahl and Tim did a great job keeping us informed, helping figure things out, and checking up on us. Tim kept us in the loop on the status of the Explorer and helped us out with getting into a used car to drive while we waited for the Explorer to be built. Now that our Explorer is finally here, I love it and can honestly say that Tim made the car buying experience wonderful. He is so easy to work with, friendly, and truly cares about his customers. When we are looking for another car in the future, our first (and only) call will be to Tim! More
I stopped in on a Friday night just looking to see what the dealership had for new vehicles since I was looking to trade in my 08 Chevy P/U. James was very patient and took the time to figure which vehicle would best fit my needs and budget. AFTER SHOPPING FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS for a new vehicle with no luck do to the way we were treated at other Ford dealerships. We want to thank Javier Calleja for helping us with the purchase of our Ford F150. Javier was patient, informative, and concerned with the needs of my disabled veteran husband. We no more than entered the door of Dahl Ford and within five minutes of meeting Javier we were in a pick up looking at what vehicle we were interested in. Javier picked us up at the door and drove us to the lot were the trucks were. Javier never made us beg for a test drive. Javier never let my husband stand out in the weather. Javier made us feel that we were in control and that our decision was our own. We were so impressed with Javier tat we are telling everyone we know to shop at Dahl Ford and ask for Javier. We plan on buying another vehicle in a couple years and we will purchase the other vehicle at Dahl Ford. Javier made us feel like part of the Dahl Ford family. We think Javier should be considered a valuable employee. When my husband a disabled veteran went to the Dubuque Ford dealership and a surrounding Ford dealership we were treated as though we couldn't afford a new vehicle. While looking at the Ford in Dubuque I, Joan, was told that I didn't know what I was talking about when the salesman was trying to sell us an older Dodge Caravan for practically the same price as a new one. I knew all about the problems associated with the engines in these vehicles. While my niece was visiting her truck broke down and the Ford dealership tried to keep her truck and refused to fix it with the extended warranty. While searching for a vehicle at Victory the sales person let my husband standing out in ninety degree heat refusing to let us test drive a vehicle. These are just a few of our problems with our local dealerships in and around Dubuque. My husband and I will always travel to Dahl Ford for our new vehicles as long as we are treated like human beings like Javier treated us. When my wife and I went to Dahl Ford we already knew exactly what car, and options we wanted on it. Unfortunately they did not have the Ford escape we wanted. Our sale rep. Car shopping can be a real pain but our experience at Dahl Ford was a pleasant one. Javier is good has his job. We had access to D plan and told him at the beginning. He readily added on incentives and gave us a good price on our trade-ins that brought the price down to a more reasonable figure. Overall a pleasant experience that ended in a nice new car for us. Jim "Ike" Isaacson is a great guy who makes sure that he gives you accurate information, he's honest and does not give you the run around like many other salesman I've dealt with over the years. Dahl's practice of giving you 120% of Kelley Blue Book is a great idea, I knew what my truck was worth before I entered the store and their figures were an exact match. Our negotiating a final out the door price was very relaxed and comfortable and I did not feel that I was being squeezed for every last penney. I believe that I got a good deal and an excellent vehicle. My past experience with the Service Department has been outstanding, great people and good service. They have been a family dealership for over fifty years and they seem to maintain a different attitude than I've experienced at other dealerships. Maybe that is why so many of their people have worked there for twenty years and longer and still have good things to say about their supervisors and the Dahl family. More
