Went to the dealership to check out vehicles and left with a 2020 Sienna leftover. Chris was the salesman he was courteous and professional. Was very helpful throughout the process. I shoul say first that I have been using this dealership for about 15 years. Have bought and had serviced all my cars here. I am not sure if I want to trust them anymore. Brought my SUV in for the requested for about 15 years. Have bought and had serviced all my cars here. I am not sure if I want to trust them anymore. Brought my SUV in for the requested battery change. Was told to wait 45 min. Later was told that the problem was not in the battery but that the "alternator had suddenly died". The car had less than 30K miles. The receptionist assured me that the mechanic knew well what he was doing. Since the car was "pronounced" not being able to start anymore (that's after it had gotten into the capable hands of the mechanic" I was given no other option but to have the alternator replaced. After the market part was about 250 and twice as much the one that was of Honda. Again, the mechanic would recommend "the more expensive one". The car was to be left in the garage for the overnight. Yes, I had to walk 2 miles home. Few hours later the receptionist called and cheerfully declared "a mistake took place" and the alternator was alive once again. So, instead of paying about 800$ (cost of the battery included) I only had to pay 180 or so. That has made my day. I had to walk back 2 miles. I tried to get some explanation about how they do their diagnostics and the same receptionist seemed to be clueless...Asked if the manager would be able to clear up my concerns, but was told that the manager was gone for the day. Told that story at work and made people laugh. However, it turned out that at least two coworkers have their own stories about the service at this place that made them to want never come back. Which I was suggested and begin to think about. Since I have filled out the review of my experience being e-mailed to me later, probably a week later someone (the manager??) had finally replied asking one question: "what was the location where my service was done?" !!!!!!!!??? I sent back my reply: "Plattsburgh". So far no response. Consumers, beware! More
Della is dollar driven GREEDY MONOPOLY IN PLATTSBURGH. I have tried to buy from this Della Honda dealer; the car I test drove involved an accident when I asked salesman did not know anything about it so h I have tried to buy from this Della Honda dealer; the car I test drove involved an accident when I asked salesman did not know anything about it so he went asked the guy who took the car in, he said the car involved rear end accident in park inland but auto check clearly indicate that it was front end collusion with another car and had police report.They knowingly lied about it! Della owns every car dealership in the town their cars way overpriced even if you think you are getting a good deal you still end up screwed,most of the time they don’t bother the negotiate any way! If you want to buy a new or used car go downstate or other dealers in the area,That’s what I did, you get way better deal and save not hundreds, thousands of dollars.Della People nice to your face cause they after your money.Do not give them your hard earn money, do your research, don’t trust them blindly.Plattsburgh and North Country deserves better business practices, not greedy monopolies.Tell your friends, neighbors ,coworkers we want honesty and integrity NOT GREED AND MONOPOLY.... "Dollar Driven Della" Della Plattsburgh charged me $99. for a diagnostic (took them an hour). I was told the part I needed was a speed sensor ($110 in house part) and anoth Della Plattsburgh charged me $99. for a diagnostic (took them an hour). I was told the part I needed was a speed sensor ($110 in house part) and another $79. to install it -total $289. I went to a local parts store and bought a part that Honda recommended I get ($21.89). Returned to Della and it took them nearly 2 hours to install. The part wasn't right apparently and I still was charged $192. for their time. I wasn't given any cautionary advice as to the nature of the exact part that I needed (it's a rare part from an older model) nor did they check to see if it was the correct part before they installed it. Service technician didn't seem to be knowledgeable about parts in house or out of house (they had to call Queensbury, NY to ask for assistance) or, what may happen in the event of a model specific error. They casually gave me the bill and showed little remorse for their poor judgement and costly error. I will not return to Della Plattsburgh, albeit it's where I bought my car to begin with. More
