When taking our 2010 Sequoia in for service it was discovered that the oil plug had been crossed threaded into the oil pan. I was told I needed to replace my oil pan: $500.00. In that our Toyota had discovered that the oil plug had been crossed threaded into the oil pan. I was told I needed to replace my oil pan: $500.00. In that our Toyota had been serviced at Toyota dealerships in Orlando, Florida and at DCH Wappingers Falls Toyota it was impossible to assess blame. I spoke to Jeff Walsh, the service manager at DCH Wappingers Falls Toyota and explained to him that our Toyota had always only been cared for at registered Toyota dealerships. Instead of giving me the run around, Jeff Walsh and DCH Toyota took care of my oil pan and plug under warranty. Total cost to me: $0.00. This is not the first time DCH Wappingers Falls Toyota has gone out of their way to do the right thing. Thank you, James and Brenda Paterno More
went for a free oil change. and when i got their, I asked if it could be possible if they could do a wheel alignment, cause I change over from my winter snows to reg wheels. I notice that the passenger front if it could be possible if they could do a wheel alignment, cause I change over from my winter snows to reg wheels. I notice that the passenger front tire was worn out. they said no problem, I also informed them that I had a great amount of understeer with this car and for them to check it out.when the car was ready in record time i paid for the wheel alignment and drove away, I notice that I had no more understeer!!! I turn around and went back to the dealer and informed them that they had a great mechanic. That I was driving a new car again. It's nice to fine a dealer that showed their customer what was before the fix and after the fix results. great mechanic & great counter serviceman. I am the proud owner of a 2004 Toyota 4 Runner and have owned nothing but a Toyota vehicle since 2000. I turned to Toyota to fix my vehicle after having priced the job at a number of other places in the ar owned nothing but a Toyota vehicle since 2000. I turned to Toyota to fix my vehicle after having priced the job at a number of other places in the area and was informed i was looking at over $3100 in repairs and at least 14 hours of in shop labor with which I would be without a means of transport. I had always assumed that dealerships were more expensive than private mechanics and was pleasantly surprised my preconceptions were wrong. Not only was Toyota's estimate $700 less than the competition but from the first phone call I was greeted with a friendly manor, courtesy and respect by everyone I dealt with. The majority of my dealings were with Matthew Gaynor who went above and beyond to provide me with excellent service. Mr Gaynor provided me with a more than satisfactory quote and took the time and patience to arrange for not only the repair of my vehicle but for me to be accommodated with a loaner vehicle for the duration of my repairs. Mr Gaynor updated me during the week regarding my repair status and took the time to answer any questions I had. Mr Gaynor informed me he was going out of town for a short while during the repair of my vehicle and that he wanted to make sure I was well taken care of despite his absence. Mr Gaynor provided me with the name of a co-worker whom he fully informed of my situation and to whom I could turn while he was away. Upon the completion of my repairs Mr Gaynor informed me that the total cost was slightly higher than the estimate. He was more than happy to answer my questions as to why that was, and I was more than satisfied with the explanation. On the day of pick-up I arrived at the dealership and am surprised to say that every single employee I encountered was smiling, courteous, and pleasant. Let me take a moment to interject by telling you that I deal in "customer service" on a daily basis working as an RN in a busy emergency room. Just like people coming in with cars that are "sick" which makes them unhappy, I too deal with people who are in need of "repairs" and are unhappy. To have walked into a busy "car ER" and be taken care of so swiftly and courteously was a breath of fresh air, I am sure it is not always easy to do and so it was extremely appreciated. I finally had the pleasure of meeting Mr Gaynor for the first time that day after weeks of phone messages and conversation. As Mr Gaynor handed me my bill and thanked my for my patronage he told me that he was able to take care of the extra cost above that which he had quoted me for the repairs and kept the price to the original estimate. I was speechless. He insisted that I had spent a good deal of money on my repairs and that this was just a small token of Toyota's appreciation of my business. I left there that day knowing for certain I had not made a mistake in choosing Toyota of Wappingers Falls for my repairs and that they had gained a customer for life. I have trusted Toyota as my vehicle of choice for over 11 years now, and hope to be an owner for life. Thank you Mr Gaynor and thank you Toyota. Keep up the great work! P.S. I bet it would be a pretty funny to use the "car ER" as an idea for a Toyota service commercial... "car CPR stat!" ... saving lives one car at a time...lol... anyway... have a great day : ) More
Just got amazed, and pleasantly so. I'm a Dutchess County weekender who lives in Manhattan, and when my battery gave out in the middle of this heavy snow season, got a jump and took the car to a local Toyota weekender who lives in Manhattan, and when my battery gave out in the middle of this heavy snow season, got a jump and took the car to a local Toyota dealer who shall remain nameless. Got an estimate on some $4,000 worth of "needed" maintenance work, and paid for what was described as immediately necessary, holding back on the other half based on well-develop;ed cynicism. Lot of very shifty guys in auto repair, in shops big and small. When schedule permitted took car to DCH Wappingers where I've had good service in the past. Assistant Service Manager Crystal Costa had the car test driven, inspected, and came into customer service area to tell me nothing whatsoever was needed and there would be no charge. Don't know about you, but that's astonishing to me. Think I can actually trust this dealer to do good work at fair prices, and only the work that's needed. Wouldn't take my car anywhere else if at all possible. The place is clean, efficient, coffee is good and can't beat the pleasant, reliable, trustworty service. Thank you Crystal, please pass the thanks to the service guys, you have at least one customer who thinks you are all pretty special. More
