I have purchased 7 vehicles from DCH Toyota of Torrance and the sales department is great. This review is regarding their service department, every time I have taken my 2018 Tundra for service they have caused damage, they have forgotten to tighten lug nuts and just recently cracked my windshield. I just received a phone call from them regarding the windshield and was told there is nothing they can do about it. This is unacceptable and bad business! They did a pre inspection of the truck before taking ownership so they should be responsible for all damage they caused. advice is welcome. More

Since then, I’ve been going back and forth at your dealership already even getting off work just to have some issues resolved after purchase . First was the SD card issue which keeps the car beeping due to errors on dash cam. (4/27/23)I had to come back twice and wait for hours.(completed 04/29/23) Then I had to ask for the door protection/ guards which was supposed to be dealer add on already. Sales consultant Gerges Soliman promised that I have a full tank of gas when I drive it home. But it wasn’t. I had to come back 05/03/23 just to do it and follow up all the missing dealer add on advertised. He just simply said he is not the one responsible for it and can’t help me. Sales manager Jose Villalpando supposed to set me up an appointment a week prior just to have roof crossbars installed but when I came after a week, appointment supposedly set at 9am, he was nowhere to be found.(05/10/23)I had to wait for 4 hrs and was eventually sent to service and was given a rental instead and had to leave the truck. Unbelievable! Just to put a roof rack with 4 bolts. I even volunteered to just install it but the service advisor Michael Rodriguez said they’re busy and will arrange a rental instead. I came back after I got the rental and saw that the door protect and window etching was just now being installed by an independent contractor. Service was finally completed the next day (05/11/23).I have been bringing the 4 runner back and forth and most of the time no one seems to care anymore and is always given the runaround after I completed my payment the same day I drove the truck home. Receptionist was also screening my calls every time I ask to talk to someone, they’re not there. Finance department Alex Cho also willfully overpriced the perma plate fee by $563 and just hoped that I didn’t notice. Goodwill reimbursement was only sent June 1st after sending several email complaints. I used to bring my toyota vehicles here for service even though I have dealer service closer to my place. But now I will never set foot on this dealership and utilize their service department again. Trust is broken and no one deserves to be treated the way I was treated. I even informed sales Gerges Soliman that I am still shopping for another brand new car and had my old pick up appraised. But with the treatment that I experienced, I ended up purchasing from another dealer with a totally different experience. Stay away from this dealership. They only care about how much they can gain. No transparency, doesn’t respect your time, and cannot be trusted. More
They brought out the car and I later realized that the Mats and the Cargo cover had been stripped out of the car. I imagine the were sold. They turn out to be a few hundred dollars worth of equipment. It was also missing the charger. The charger caught my attention so I did insist that was included but I over looked the importance (and expense of the other missing parts. I am in my mid 70s and am dealing with cancer. I got tired and couldn't hassle. I should have fought at the time but I get too tired. Not a place one can trust. More
So I trade a car and 11 days later they called me to get it back after I installed some accessories and even added to my insurance. The car was returned on Monday on Friday I went to pick up my down payment it back after I installed some accessories and even added to my insurance. The car was returned on Monday on Friday I went to pick up my down payment check and nowhere to be found even do they say it takes 48 hours to have it printed! About the accessories I emailed the finance supervisor on Tuesday and still no response after 4 days. I lost over 800$ there! They asked to get them off but that would have mean more time waited and shipping and restock fee and they have already make waists so much of my time on all this! Really if you can go to another dealership please GO! run RUN far away from this one is the worst! Also before I forget Karla the customer service manager was supposed to call me to help me with this over a week and nothing so I think they are paying a salary for nothing! More
They ALWAYS screw you here. DCH Toyota of Torrance, California by far is in the top 1% of any and all dealerships I have frequented since owning a car over the past 30 years (Dealerships/Vehicles: Dodge, GM (Cadillac, Chevy, GMC), Ki 1% of any and all dealerships I have frequented since owning a car over the past 30 years (Dealerships/Vehicles: Dodge, GM (Cadillac, Chevy, GMC), Kia, Volkswagen/Saab, Ford, and Toyota). Everyone at the dealership is friendly and courteous. I want to give a special recognition to my service advisor, Maya Marquez. Maya is definitely one of the best if not the best service advisor I had the pleasure of being helped by. She communicates the status of the vehicle's service. Maya goes above and beyond to make sure the vehicle's service requirements and customer's satisfaction is met. Thank you Maya and DCH Toyota of Torrance for displaying what customer service should emulate. Sincerely, Satisfied Customer - Will ('16 Tundra/1794 Edition) More
To me, the sales people at this dealership are slimey vultures? Why? ...Because they essentially tried to use a "Bait and Switch" type of tactic on me. They listed their car online for less than the c vultures? Why? ...Because they essentially tried to use a "Bait and Switch" type of tactic on me. They listed their car online for less than the competition. The website even had a flag for a "Great deal" since it was listed less than MSRP. Then, when I inquired about the car, the salesman at this dealership tried to pressure me to come in and test drive it, instead of answering my question. The slimey sales guy's line when I asked for the out-the-door price- "Does morning or afternoon work better for you to come by to look at our options?" What really drove me to write this email is when I finally got the out-the-door price after a few emails, there were literally almost $3,000 of non-negotiable "dealer add ons" ?! Are they kiddin' me?? So they essentially bait you in with a low price, and at the end of the sale they tell you they include $3,000 of non-negotiable add ons. Good thing I asked over email before I drove there! Here's some tips if you're looking to buy a car: 1. Don't buy now if you don't need to. Wait until the last quarter of 2023 when there are too many cars available forcing dealers to cut their prices (during Covid there was a shortage of semiconductor chips which caused a shortage of new cars and that drove the prices up) 2. Negotiate the "out-the-door price" with all the taxes and fees and everything included. Slimey dealerships such as this one will throw in add ons you don't need. Many dealerships will try and switch the conversation to monthly payments (which are easier to lower by extending the life of the loan). Focus on the Out-the-Door price, NOT monthly payments! 3. "Just say no" to the add ons, extra alarms, extended warranty you never use, anything that sounds like insurance. You can buy all those on your own at a fraction of what the dealership charges anytime, and you don't need a lot of them. 4. Get financed from a credit union before you even go carshopping. And don't tell the dealer you're pre-approved for a loan until the very end of the negotiation. They want you to get their financing, and their interest rates are usually a rip off. 5. If you have a trade-in, get 4 quotes from websites that'll buy it (such as from CarMax and Vroom) before you go to the dealership. 6. Negotiate over email for as long as you can. They'll try and pressure you to come in (like this dealership asked me several times). Once you're in, many twist your arm to buy. You do have considerable leverage to negotiate a good deal when you're there in-person, but first try and negotiate over email for as long as you can. Get the total "out-the-door" price before going to the dealership. 7. Know exactly what you're looking for, and email 10 dealerships for the negotiated "out-the-door price" over a 75-100 mile radius. Then you can choose which dealerships are worth your time to visit. This dealership wasn't worth me visiting since they had an extreme amount of non-negotiable add ons. 8. Thoroughly review the Carfax history report and Title before even looking at the vehicle. Was the car well- taken care of? Are there any accidents? If it has a ton of miles in a short time, it might've been an Uber/Lyft car which I don't recommend buying. If they don't want you to see the Carfax, there's a reason 8. Unless it's an official Toyota Certified Pre-Owned, definitely, definitely, definitely get a Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI) from a legit local mechanic before purchasing a used vehicle. If the dealership won't let you get a PPI, don't buy the vehicle from them. If there are any mechanical issues with the car, negotiate for the dealer to lower the price to fix those issues before purchasing the car! 10. Blast slimey dealerships on Yelp and Dealer Rater to warn others (such as the elderly and poor) if they try and act like vultures! Sorry DCH Toyota of Torrance. Not only did I not buy from you, I feel you are the sleaziest of the 10 or so dealerships I communicated with! I threw in an extra star for your persistence emailing me. More

They made it very clear that replacing them is a courtesy and I purchased the vehicle as is. They said the vehicle had 2 catalytic converters. Once I had the opportunity, I took the vehicle for an inspection. Vehicle has 3 catalytic converters, and that only 1 looks like it was changed. Their "courtesy" is a requirement by law. They sold me a vehicle that wouldn't have passed smog and by law, they are responsible. AND there is over $6,000 worth of maintenance that needs to be done. Let me be clear - MAINTENANCE. Nothing that would have been covered under a warranty had I purchased one through the dealership. Motor mounts, timing belts, oil leaks, etc. The cost of getting all this maintenance done is HALF the balance of the loan. Update: I emailed Karla as per her request. No response. And guess what? The car was in worse shape than the preliminary inspection uncovered. The vehicle needs major engine repair. Repairs/completing the maintenance would be over $10,000 AT LEAST. I showed up to this dealership, pregnant and with my two kiddos, one with a disability. And they sold me a used vehicle knowing upon their inspection, complete with a reminder when they changed the catalytic converter, that the vehicle was in bad shape. We are a one car family. Being without a vehicle would be more than devastating. And paying over $10,000 on vehicle repairs/maintenance just doesn't make sense. This isn't how you treat people More
