We had been to another dealership, Weisleder in Brick, NJ and had been lied to. We called Mr. McCracken and explained what we wanted, no gimmicks,no run around. He provided that and much more. My good experience started as soon as I entered the dealership. Allen immediately approached me to assist me. By comparison, the same day I entered a Nissan dealership. Twice I heard someone would b dealership. Allen immediately approached me to assist me. By comparison, the same day I entered a Nissan dealership. Twice I heard someone would be right with me, but no one came - after waiting 10 minutes I left. I test drove the CR-V and all my questions were answered. Allen also spent time showing me how some of the features worked. Allen communicates easily and is personable. I happened to go to this dealership first and still wanted to check Toyota and Nissan. There was no pressure to make a deal on the spot - I was free to follow my plans and I called Allen back when I was ready to make the purchase (the next day). The price negotiation was also much easier than I expected. I had done my research and had a AAA Member Price that I would be satisfied with - we quickly agreed on that price and there was no further haggling or trying to change the price after the agreement (I've actually had a dealer in the past try to do that - he wound up losing two sales because of it). He did not try to up the price by charging me for things like floor mats - they (along with the cargo cover) were included. The paper work went smoothly and Allen even called my insurance company for me to add the car to my policy. Allen was also willing to work with me on logistics that would work for me (I didn't trade in my old car and had it with me). Chris finalized the temporary registration and went over the extended warranty options with me. He did not pressure me to make a decision on the spot which was much appreciated. When the CR-V was ready to go, Allen went over all the features with me again, answered all my questions, and even programmed some radio stations for me; I should note that even though the dealership had already closed for the day and it was Haloween, he did not rush me out. I found the manager to be the most helpful. Chris was fantastic! He was patient and went above and beyond in my opinion. Apparently someone forgot to give me one of my keys. I explained to Chris that I was unable to make it back to the dealership because I was going to be out of town, so he personally delivered the key to my home. I also found the finance guy Eric to be very knowledgeable and professional and processed my paperwork in minutes. More
From the moment I walked in the door, Allen was a complete gentelman!He showed me all the Hondas and never pressured me.
