I was purchasing my first new car and had decided on a Toyota. My husband, who has been in the automotive field for 40 years, made some calls and decided on DCH Freehold. He had spoken to Mel Greenberg and told him what we were looking for in a car, and what we were willing to pay. Mel said he could help us and we set up a time to meet with him. Mel kept his word. He had the car I wanted, at the agreed upon price, and I drove the car home that day! After we made the decision to buy the car, Mel brought us to his supervisor's office to finalize the deal. His supervisor (and I apologize for not remembering his name) went over the contract with us and we were very happy to pay the agreed upon price, which we felt was a very good deal! Mel called use later that day to thank us for our patronage and to remind us that he was just a phone call away if we had any questions or problems. (We didn't.) He called again a few weeks later to see how we liked the car, and to make sure we were satisfied with our purchase. (We were, and still are!) On the contrary, I felt that they had my best interest in mind. While I am sure they earned some money on my purchase, which they are entitled to, I did not feel that I was taken for a ride.
