I called them for a Sien Even though most of the other reviewers had a great experience with them, my overall experience was okay and not great. I called them for a Sienna that was advertized on their website. Regina gave a very attractive price over phone. When I went to them later that day, I learnt that the car was already sold. Then, the sales agent Ian offered me a decent price on a similar car and I decided to buy it and trade-in an old car. Ian was quite good that day although he later forgot a couple of things that was surprising. But then I had a bad experience with the finance people. They scared me into buying an extended warranty by saying things like "You know why Toyota provides only a 3-year warranty on their cars? Because they found out that the number of problems in their cars soar after 3 years" (this was accompanied by the drawing of a graph on a piece of paper of a line that soars very high). After coming back home, I did some reading (Consumer Reports etc.) and found out that there is not a clear proof that the high-priced extended warranties sold by the dealers are worth it. I also found that I could buy the same Toyota-certified warranty for about 30-35% less from other dealers (read the online forums at edmunds.com). I went back to the dealer in a couple of days to return the warranty--they kept trying to scare me by saying "Oh--you will not have coverage for all the computers in your car?" So overall, while I got a car at a decent price, my experience with them was not entirely satisfactory. More

I had the pleasure of working with Gunther. My trip was to see about finding a car for my soon to be born child. We were looking at multiple cars in the Camry model. Gunther was happy to show us the two to see about finding a car for my soon to be born child. We were looking at multiple cars in the Camry model. Gunther was happy to show us the two certified pre-owned that we were interested in in the lot. He was up front with the carfax report, mileage, price, and equipped options. I wasn't too crazy about the ones they had so left the lot, but not before I noticed another car that was somewhat out of my price range but it still looked in good condition. Eventually, I returned to the lot to see about test driving the 2011 Camry SE. Gunther wasn't available at the time I arrived, so we waited around for him figuring he was out with another customer. We didn't go with another sales person because we knew Gunther and wanted to continue to work with him. When he finally did arrive we went out for a test drive. He felt honest in his assessment, gave us a quick run down of the vehicle. He was so good, I decided to go for the purchase. The signing was painless though it does make you feel as though you are signing away your life. In about 2hours and a half, I drove off the lot with my new car. He let me choose the vehicle I liked then we went over the prices. Based on my finances, I chose a certified pre-owned vehicle. Chris was very knowledgable of the vehicle and it's options. He was also great when dealing with my insurance company. Next, I was off to see Paul Leahy to go over the financing. Paul made me feel right at home in his office. He went over every detail. He showed me a couple of different financing options based on by situation. I never felt like I was paying for anything unnecessary. There were no hidden fees. The process was quick and painless. Overall, my experience at DCH Freehold Toyota Scion was great. I never felt that they were trying to sell me a car I didn't want. I never felt I was paying more than I should be. I drove past many other dealerships to get to this one and I'm glad I did. I would definitely recommend this dealership to others. More
This was my first car purchase in 10 years so it was important to me that I got a reliable car for an affordable price that would last me another 10 years if I chose to keep it that long. I have always wanted a Prius and to my pleasant surprise, there were some certified pre-owned ones in stock. After long, tedious negotiating with multiple dealers in NY and NJ combined, I finally settled on a 2009 Prius for a few reasons. Not only did I happen to find one that was in my budget and what I was looking for as far as condition but mainly because of Ian. What did he do that was so great? I called to talk to someone weeks before I purchased the car and I was more than willing to be honest if the person on the other end was honest with me and that is exactly what he did. I simply said, "You tell me the truth and I will buy a car from you". Not only was he honest about the car business in general but I did not feel pressured over the phone. He followed up as far as if I was still in the market but not overbearing. I came in, test drove one, said I would buy it and changed my mind the next day. Still, he helped with my search and came up with multiple options that I can choose from. After many frustrating hours of number crunching and budgeting on my part, I finally decided on the very car that I purchased and I ended up buying it from the first dealer I started with and the first salesperson I spoke to. I bought it from him because I never felt pressured to buy it in the first place. My only other comment, which has nothing to do with Ian, is that the car should have come with car mats. "As is, cosmetic, or not", Toyota has sold 200 million cars, I am almost positive they can afford some car mats to put in the certified pre owned vehicles. If they want to the customers to feel just as important as the "new car" customers, than the pre owned cars should at least have car mats. However, my other concerns about the car were met in a timely fashion. Over all the experience was friendly well worth all the hard work. I am happy and proud of my purchase and I am glad Ian assisted me throughout the process. Also, who ever the gentleman was that assisted me with signing all my paperwork should have some credit as well. He was calm and was very thorough when explaining the process of everything.
