I have had my vehicle serviced at DCH Brunswick Toyota several times. Each and every time I do, it has been an absolute pleasure. The staff has been very informative, patient and polite. As a working m several times. Each and every time I do, it has been an absolute pleasure. The staff has been very informative, patient and polite. As a working mother of 3 there is little time to have the car serviced. DCH Brunswick Toyota is very accomodating to my schedule and that fact that they are such great people to work with make it so much easier. Thank you Mr. Mootz and Mr. DeAngelis for the wonderful service dept you have built. Keep up the good work!!! More
Took my 99 Camry in for Timing Belt change at 90k miles, talked me into changing both drive belts and water pump. Fine, it's better safe than sorry. Then ask them to check on my Check-Engine-Light issue an talked me into changing both drive belts and water pump. Fine, it's better safe than sorry. Then ask them to check on my Check-Engine-Light issue and how it dies at start-up if not giving it a stump at the gas paddle. Was told to change Mass-Air Sensor for the CEL, also told to change the spark plugs, ATF fluids, Air-Fuel Sensor for the start-up problem. Total of $1,800 bucks, in addiiton of the $800 being charged to the belts and pump!!! I had them change the belts and pump, and bought all the parts and changed all above myself, total of $450 in parts and about 3 hours of works for with 5/10 skill-set. What's more, this includes changing of Oxygen sensor that's the REAL CAUSE of the CEL, not Mass-Air sensor. I found out by Googling and buying a hand-held ODBII reader like one from AutoZone who provides free service. All in all, I saved over $1600 by NOT GOING GO BRUNSIWCK TOYOTA!!! Think about spending the money and told later on that was not the cause and will be charged for something else and much more. In addition, I cleaned the throttle body myself, another $60+ saving that was not quoted and might be the reas cause to the start-up problem. Bottom line, do lots of research before going to the dealer, especially DCH Brunswick Toyota. You then know what you are dealing with and how you are being ripped off. Plus buy your parts from some dealers who sell OEM at 30-40% off MSRP online, Brunswick charges you full MSRP plus 10% parts-to-service inter-office markup, another SCAM!!! Guess how they could afford a nice new service building? from ripping off people with expensive and unnecessary repair and maintenance bills. Stay away if possible. Do you wallet a favor, check Toyotanation.com for advice before driving into DCH's "new" service bay. More
The car service industry usually does not take kindly to woman with car trouble. I found the service and professionalism at DCH Brunswick to be outstanding. Mr. Mootz was patient in his explanations - not woman with car trouble. I found the service and professionalism at DCH Brunswick to be outstanding. Mr. Mootz was patient in his explanations - not talking down to me because I am a woman. He was thorough and courteous through out the entire process. He made me feel as though I was the most important person there. Every single person I dealt with was exceptional. I cannot give Mr. Mootz' team high enough praise. More
I used Brunswick Toyota service dept on and off for several years. I must say it wasn't always a pleasant experience. However, the new Service building and its "completely" new staff are just amazing. several years. I must say it wasn't always a pleasant experience. However, the new Service building and its "completely" new staff are just amazing. They are so friendly, pleasant and helpful to deal with. We have both of our vehicles serviced with Jenny. I often go in with my Grandfather to assist him with the servicing of his vehicle,as his English is not the the best. He loves it know that he can speak Spanish with Jenny directly. I no longer have to take a day off each time to help him with servicing of his car. More
I stopped by because I saw the new service building. It is even more impressive from the inside. I was greeted right away after driving into the reception area, and the person who helped me was so profess is even more impressive from the inside. I was greeted right away after driving into the reception area, and the person who helped me was so professional. The customer waiting area was great, there were computers so I could work while my car was being done. They were so quick that I did not even finish reading my emails. The oil change was cheaper than the other Toyota dealer in the area, and they even washed my car. Overall a great place, with great people. I will definitely be back. More
My experience was very painful and expensive.I will not use them again. Check the Better Business Bureau and you will see complaints. I wish I had checked first. If they fix your car ask to see exactly w use them again. Check the Better Business Bureau and you will see complaints. I wish I had checked first. If they fix your car ask to see exactly what was fixed and replaced, not on paper but on the car. Inspect your car or better yet, take it to a local mechanic to verify that the work was indeed performed. Get Toyota involved if needed call their 800 number, they will get a customer relations person to talk to you. More
'97 Toyota Corolla was the first brand new car we bought 10 years ago. We had no idea about the car. Therefore, we always did whatever car checkups New Brunswick Toyota recommended. We had the oil changes a 10 years ago. We had no idea about the car. Therefore, we always did whatever car checkups New Brunswick Toyota recommended. We had the oil changes and check-ups for the car periodically. Every time they checked the car, there always was something needed to be fixed! As a 1-year-old car, we already spent over $1000 on fixing it totally!! As we have new born babies, car safety is always a top priority for our family. So we thought maybe the money is worth of spending on fixing the car. We were such a royal customers that we were with New Brunswick Toyota for almost 4 years! We put around 5000 miles each year on this car. The car was very low milage and never been abused or any accident. Why it always needed to be fix?!One day, we decided to try some other Toyota deal's service and went to Crystal Toyota on Rt. 22 NJ. While we were expecting a long list of the-things-need-to-be-fix and the huge bill, Crystal Toyata told us everything was super! Nothing need to be done! What a surprise! After that check up, we moved to San Diego. Always have our Toyota Corolla serviced at Kerny Mesa Toyota. The car is 10 years old now with 60000 miles on it, and there has never been any thing needed to be fixed for past 4 year ever thing we left New Brunswick Toyota!! Go figure! More
My CEL (check engine) and VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) lights came ON, and I took my highlander (2001,V6,limited, 43K miles) to New brunswick Toyota, NJ. They diagonised it($100) - Cleaned the Throttle ch lights came ON, and I took my highlander (2001,V6,limited, 43K miles) to New brunswick Toyota, NJ. They diagonised it($100) - Cleaned the Throttle chamber ($55) + cleaned fuel rail injectors ($150) = total $300+ They didnt give me an option - I specifically asked them if all the services were 'required' - and they told me that everything was 'required' to clear the problem, so I agreed to the service. Later I came to know (from other service consultant and Yahoo Groups) that this is a common problem with 30+ Toyota highlanders, and only cleaning the throttle chamber would have cleared the problem. I tried to contact New Brunswick Toyota again, and after many messages, the service consultant called me and mentioned that there might have been a communication problem, and all other services were 'optional' - he offered me a free oil change coupon (which I refused, as I will never go back to them). I tried to contact the service manager - left him 5 voice mails over 2 weeks - they didnt care. If possible, stay away from New Brunswick Toyota Service. More
