DCH Toyota gave the best price out of all the dealers we went to in NJ. Our salesman, Ray Medina, was very friendly and professional, and he really helped us get the best deal we could. Went for new car purchase. Robin Everett was the most unprofessional sales person I have ever seen. When he went for test drive, he was busy texting on his phone rather than giving me details about the c unprofessional sales person I have ever seen. When I told him that it was very unprofessional for him to text while he was attending a customer, he has guts to tell me that he is the best salesman of this dealership and I would be crazy not to buy a car just because he was texting rather than answering my questions about the car that was going to buy. I am from out of state and negotiated a car purchase through a car buyer. I flew to NJ and Ray Median picked me up. From the very beginning I felt very comfortable about the purchase. Ray was extremely helpful, showed me all the features and ins and outs of the car (a prius plug in). Everyone in the dealership was friendly and there was not much pressure on buying special features. I truly appreciated how professionally they worked. I highly recommend this dealership. I originally purchased my vehicle a year ago and with my credit backround my finance rate was high. I came in to refinance yesterday and everyone was just wonderful and very helpful. My rate is now lower following the advice I received when I purchased the car (make the payments on a timely basis) and it did pay off. I find the sales people and finance person I have dealt with and all of the people in the service extremely pleasant, patient, polite and always looking to make it a great experience. I would recommend, and have to several friends, this dealer to anyone looking for a car. Alot of dealerships promise people with problem credit a good outcome however, this is the only dealer that I have been to that has delivered. More
On 5/9/2012 arriving at work my car was making a loud noise, had it towed to my mechanics only to be told the engine went. Knowing my credit history, I went on the internet for programs available for my noise, had it towed to my mechanics only to be told the engine went. Knowing my credit history, I went on the internet for programs available for my situation. It came back that I was approved and DCH toyota was the dealership. I called the dealership and spoke to Erika Pelaez, confirming that I was approved for a car loan, and scheduled an appointment for 5/12/2012. Arriving at the dealership, I was approached by Henry Davis, who said that he could handle everthing for me. Now this is where it goes downhill. My interest was a NEW small economic car, never got to look at one. Another gentleman, who name i can't recall, stepped in and started explaining that the bank would not go for a NEW car but rather a USED car, and since the held the financing of your inventory, the bank would pick the car out. Mr. Davis brought a car around, 2007 toyota camry, test drove the car and asked to see the numbers on the car. I was asked a monthly payment, I said $300.00 per month. Remember. I was pre approved. Mr. davis asked for 30% down, $2800.00 to be exact, then Mr. Davis asked for a co-signer explaining after 6 months to a year the contract could be redone, the programs the bank had. So with the help of my cousin, I provided the $2800.00 down and a co-buyer and insurance covering the vehicle. The car was being going over mechanically and detailed. When the paper work finally came, there was a $2500.00 charge for an extended warranty. Mr. Davis and the gentleman with him kept telling me it was for SEVEN YEARS up to 100,000 miles. I told them I didn't want it. and the gentleman with Mr. Davis got up and told me that it was a condition of the loan, that they may not approve the loan or increase the interest rate of the loan. I told them =, let's just finish it. Of course my $300.00 payment went to $341.00 for 72 months. I had to fight to have my handicap tag be transferred, and get copies of all paperwork. My fault was not leaving the dealership, and excepting what happened. This all happened on 5/12/2012, arrived at the dealership at 10Am and left the dealership at 5:30PM. To sum it up, the car had scratches around it, rear bumper damaged with a rip in it, cd player doesn't work at times. Now, Mr. Davis has requested a copy of the back of my license. First he told my cousin the bank needed it, now it has something to do with title and registration. I can't get a straight answer, so I called the NJ state police, the Pa state police, and then Harrisburg. All who have said,that they could not understand why the back of my license is so important, since the front shows the same information and NOTHING different. My registration still has not been transferred, and by the way, the so called SEVEN YEAR WARRANTY I paid $2500.00 for is only good JULY 2013. Far cry from SEVEN YEARS. I wasn't treated too nice, but as an individual with a poor past. I don't trust the dealership, and you should be able to see why, it's been strongly recommended Not to give you a copy of the back of my license, since you have a copy of the front, which has ALL the informationon it. It was one of the most positive experiences I've had in It was one of the most positive experiences I've had in purchasing a car. We worked with Chris Diaz who was expremely helpful and polite.
