I have purchased a number of cars in the last 30 years. Up until recently the experience was usually the same. Every thing would go great until price came up and then the fun would begin. By the time I left the dealership I was exhausted from all the haggling back and forth between me and the salesperson and their manager. 7 years ago this all changed. I walked into Academy Honda on Route 9 in Old Bridge NJ and met Paul Rittberg. Paul asked me what I wanted, searched his inventory for available cars, walked away for 5 minutes and came back with a price. He said he was giving me the best price he could and for some strange reason I believed him (note, I do not typically believe anyone unless they convincingly prove it). I and my family have purchased a total of five cars from Paul and each and every time he has been courteous, professional, funny and a pleasure to deal with. He has never pushed me to purchase anything more than I wanted and even has dissuaded me from buying accessories that weren't really needed.
