We liked the car we bought but after test drive we noticed that bumper on the car was broken. We were disappointed, but Joe assured us that it going to be fixed. When we came back after two days the car had the new bumper, and it looked like brand new car. My engine stalled out an A couple of weeks ago I got stuck in the rain with my car going through a puddle that turned out to be deeper than I thought. My engine stalled out and it had to leave it stranded there because I was with the little girl I babysit for. My first car. My freedom. The only thing I had that was my own; something I worked so hard to earn. The mechanic told me the engine needed to be replaced and then I knew it was pretty much totaled because replacing the engine costs more than the car is worth, not to mention the amount of money I paid for it plus the amount of money I put into repairs/maintenance. I'm a full time student and I pay for almost everything on my own with little help from my family. Needless to say, no car meant no work, no money, no bills paid. I kept running into one problem after another. Eventually I had to let go of the fact that there had to have been something better coming soon, I hoped it would be a reliable and affordable used car. Finally went to DCH Honda and when I walked in the first face I saw was Sanjay's. He welcomed me with his kind smile and listened to what I wanted withough trying to sway me in a way that would stretch me too thin with money. He understood my situation and did everything he could to show me the best options. As we test drove one of the cars and compared vehicles he walked me though every feature and explained things to me in a gentle way. Never made me feel stupid, instead he made me feel competent and confident by teaching me and reminding me that I, as the customer, am I'm control. He was more than helpful and knowledgeable through the whole process. I learned so much just from talking to him. It was like buying a car from a family member, like an uncle or something. I wound up driving away in my gently used, 2011 Honda Fit. And I love it. It's perfect for me and it's affordable. I'm so happy that a difficult situation turned into something good and it wouldn't have happened without the kindness of people like Sanjay. He made this experience so easy and it made me so happy to buy a car from someone who is humble, family oriented, kind and encouraging. Many of the other staff members had similar qualities that helped make the experience awesome. More

New Registration Delayed As a loyal customer of five purchases of Honda's at Academy and eleven referrals I'm was quite disappointed in the completion of my last car CRV-purch As a loyal customer of five purchases of Honda's at Academy and eleven referrals I'm was quite disappointed in the completion of my last car CRV-purchase on Wednesday April 16th 2014. The temporary 20 day NJ registration issued on 4/16/2014 expired on May 5th, under # XXXX, I do not believe that it should take over four weeks to register a car. Registration finaly available on May 8 2014, after numberous communications. This is unacceptable, and i truly hope that this was an isolated case. Joseph A. Morales More

The experience of leasing a new 2014 Honda CR-V here was the best ever. I have purchased 6 new Hondas in my lifetime. My 2011 Honda CR-V was towed off of the Garden State Parkway. My usual dealer arranged service at this dealership because it was closer to where I was. Eric in the service department at Academy Honda telephone me when the car arrived then phoned again with a solution, cost estimate and time table. When I arrived to pick up the car, I was surprised that it took only two interactions to retrieve it. I walked in, identified myself, Eric came forward to collect me, explained the service report and showed me to the cashier’s window. The trade-in assessment that I asked for on the phone was ready and he returned with Andre Yulfo as I finished up with the cashier. Working with Andre from sales and Steve Chung from finance was easy. The workflow of documents, offers and negotiations was straightforward without pressure. Andre patiently explained every option and encouraged me to consider leasing for the first time. Steve fact-checked all of the paperwork and made sure that I understood and was happy with all of the terms. Within a little less than three hours I drove away in a new 2013 CR-V. There was no drama, no excessive waiting or delays and no diversion of attention from me during that time. I am confident that the deal was fair and honest. It’s a good feeling. Our sales consultant, Joe Guzzo, made the process extremely easy, especially with his laid back and pleasantly upbeat personality. First, my wife and I each road tested a CR-V and an Accord before deciding on the CR-V. Joe explained the trim options for each model which helped us decide on the AWD EX-L. We next discussed the financial aspects of leasing versus purchasing and decided leasing was the way to go on this vehicle as we were able to get a more fully equipped vehicle for a lower monthly payment than would have been possible if purchasing. We were introduced to Akram Ali, a dealership manager, who assured us the dealership was their to assist us in every way possible regarding the acquisition and future service. Finance manager Lily Li was next introduced to us to go over the details of the financial obligation. Lily was truly enthusiastic about us getting our first Honda and appreciative of our doing business with DCH. The car was picked up a few days later after being delivered to the dealership and prepped. After finishing up the financial paperwork with Lily, Joe took us out to the car and explained operating the remote start and door opening process. He next set up our two iPhone's for hands free operation and explained the various controls for dash and audio system display options, the electronic connectivity and charging port access, seat and stering wheel positioning, climate controls as well as the rest of the cars features. As we finished up Akram came over to make sure all was well and congratulated us once again on the new vehicle. All in all it was a very pleasant experience for what we have previously encountered in other car dealerships as being somewhat stressful. I would absolutely recommend DCH Academy Honda and specifically Joe Guzzo to anyone contemplating a new Honda. More
